It's a cult classic that stands on its own and I always felt like hyping it up somehow did it disservice. • @@roberttran1114 does terminal velocity apply to forward motion? I thought it was specifically for falling down, when the force of gravity is matched by wind resistance. If you're moving forward under your own power, the point at which your applied force is cancelled out by drag, so you don't accelerate anymore but maintain your speed, is just called top speed I thought

    @liv-og9tc@liv-og9tc2 жыл бұрын
    • Agreed. Even the way they portray engine and speed is top notch. Like Trans Am before the tire explode. You can see the car is already at it's limit, that the car itself doesn't get overheated and broke down on it's own is already a miracle. But they are not willing to stop there, even for a single digit increase in speed, just to win the race. You can see Trans Am slowly move forward , they did it, Trans Am succeeded in accelerating in extreme speed, it's on the verge of breaking down, yet it was still gaining speed and move forward. 8:45

I also think it's kind of cute that the two bunglers from the final race Miki and Todoroki are actual people (Iirc comics, or maybe directors?) who were just kind of thrown in there, as an aside. The world really feels realized and that no manga, or series, or any expanded material (besides the previously mentioned) came of it is criminal.

  • I love speed since I was 3 years old, it's the most dangerous and intense thing I've ever experienced, and this movie is a total masterpiece because it can make u feel every sensation that speed gives you right to you while sitting on a comfy couch. This is a must see for animated movie lovers, this is a movie you have to see before you go to the other side. The animation, the detail, the freaking intensity on face expressions, the fucking physics, the damn movements on the race cars etc... You go back in time and feel like a little kid playin with your toy cars on your parent's kitchen table but 50 times more intense. This stimulates every inch of your imagination. It's so intense the last thing you'll do is get bored or fall asleep, you'll be so tense that you'll have muscle soreness the next day. Want to skip gym day? Just watch Redline and copy JP in the transam changing gears, braking and accelerating. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  • At 7:34 it shows 'km/h' for the big numbers but also 'k/m' for the smaller red numbers. The outer numbers are actually MPH because if you read the bottom where it says he's doing 400 km/h he's doing 248 MPH which it does show his needle past 240. When I watched this movie I didn't notice this and I thought they were all going like in the range of like 400-600 MPH. Maybe during the turbo lol.

    • If you look more closely, you can see that every single number on that dial is "280" in a very scrubby fashion, as in if the eyes cannot really see it and it becomes blurry, meaning you cannot really see what speed they are going at. Definitely done on purpose, and they are probably going over 900km/h lol!
