How do I. Obtain the plans to make this end grain cutting board. I have only been at this. For 1 1/2 years.
@@judymurray963 The comment. That you replied. To with preschool punctuation. Literally. Tells you.
I LOVE THAT 3D visual you gave of how you were going to make it in beginning.. NO ONE else is doing sh*t like that. I dig it. Keep doing this. I'm subscribed now. 🤜🤛💪
Thanks. Explaining end grain patterns is a bit tricky. I make the style of videos that I want to watch to either be entertained or informed. I hope they also resonate with others.
It’s insane, what software did you use to do that?
@@skabello4278 you don't need any software, you just need a picture to copy.
@@MrSnookerballs Sorry, I meant the animations haha
I know others have said it, but it’s worth repeating. That small little animation in the beginning makes a HUGE difference when compared to other channels. Keep that up and this channel will only continue to grow like crazy. (You’re already a fantastic instructor without the animation, FTR.) Thanks much for the knowledge share!
I couldn't agree more. I have seen countless videos on youtube and @NewtonMakes style is instantly my favorite. I subscibed before it finished. Looking forward to exploring the existing library and excited for new stuff.
Truer words have never been spoken, " you have to do it the way it works for your brain" BRAVO!
You explaining why you do things to work around how your brain works is the most relatable thing I have ever heard. Just found you channel and it’s awesome.
Great way to slowly explain the process and working through a pattern. I want to try this design!
thanks for talking about the way your wood and glue projects are done in a manor of the way you think, its very important I have got lost trying to match someone else designs.great presentation and the boards are bad ass tyvm Gary
Wow !!!!! No words to explain. Thanks for sharing your knowledge...
That came out great. Love that pattern. Great build.
I love how you said there are various ways to do the glue up, but you have to do it the way that makes sense to you. So true!
I seriously recommend giving this cutting board a shot. I tried to go over any many steps as I could so that people could follow along.
Def gonna try this one! Thanks brother!!! :)
It's really not too bad once I broke down what I needed to do. At first I was puzzled.
Such a cool design. Thanks for making it easy to understand
@@NewtonMakes I see what you did there ………
👏👍👍👍
Wow! That's beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Sweet! Watched it w/o sound and the instructional value was immense !!! TY concise , precise & Nice!
Did I just move up a level in woodworking? You talked about the pattern and then you brought it out of another dimension and put them back together. I never would have thought of that until now and I am really just starting to make new things!
Thank you. I made this from your instructions, and it came out great. Thank you.
Great video. I love seeing how other people’s processes go. This is one I’m definitely going to have to try out!
Thank you for the cutting board video I just finished making one and it looks great.
I loved the graphical breakdown on how the glue up will go in the beginning of the video, it really made it click for me how you will be tackling it later on. Thank you! Saving the video to try and make this myself one day!
I like visuals too.
Brilliant animation!!!! Seeing it, in one moment everything becomes clear. The Chinese are right when they say: one picture is worth a thousand words. One animation is worth a million words!!!! A great idea for a board pattern, perfect illustration. To tell the truth, I have not seen one or the other before - I can smell the originality. :))) Liked, subscribed.
Great looking board! I love how you explained and illustrated the process. This was a good video from start to finish. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Awesome to hear because I'm not an expert on animation and that took me forever to make. I felt it was a help though.
Love this channel. Just found it recently and I’ve gotten comfy on my sofa so that I can binge watch!!
Awesome to hear. I really appreciate that you took the time to check it out!
Excelente te quedo, me encanta tu forma de trabajar, siempre un buen video para tratar de imitar
beautiful love it , A true Artisan. I'm truly inspired.
This cutting board is outstanding. I love it. Your description of the process to make your cutting board was spot on . Thank you for everything.
Glad to hear that you enjoyed it!
Love your breakdown of the process and that cutting board was stunning! Great work.
Thanks!
Great project!! Thanks for the video!!
Great video. I love watching your cutting board videos and how you break down the process to create those designs. Otherwise, I would have no idea where to start!
It took me a few minutes to figure out where to start too so don't feel bad! I cut out all of the footage of me staring into space thinking.
Excellent. This will be the next pattern I make. Thanks for such a great video, as well as an honest perspective when it comes to gluing up complex patterns... Yours is actually much more common than many would have admitted. Cheers.
Appreciate the kind words. Excited to see you make this!
This is the best cutting board video Ive ever seen. Love how we went on the journey without, instead of just telling us how to make the board. Keep up the good work!
Exactly what I was going for. 👍
Looks awesome! Hopefully you didn't forget to raise the grain before you waxed it, or else it will raise when you first go to watch it. Great content and look forward to making this one myself one day!
You did a fine job explaining this! Thanks man. I’m going to make this.
Beautiful❤. I would love to try this as a tabletop
That’s an amazing board. Love to see your train of thought, complex glue ups and designs turned into simple steps. Thanks
There are so many ways to make this. But I know my strengths and weaknesses and I have to baby step it.
@@NewtonMakes for sure. I’m approaching a new way to make a weave pattern board. Lots of brain cells. I’m using a similar approach as this board
Wasn't that expensive, the wood is beautiful, and the work is beautiful, close to my work?
I just love the way all the pieces of woods are put together and creat unique amazing complete boards out of it.
We're only limited by our imagination.
I just checked out some of your other videos too, and now you have a new subscriber! 👍👏👏👏
The animation breakdown at the beginning was really helpful. Great addition to your video.
Thanks!
Perfect. Amazing!
Beautiful craftsmanship
That grain match up alone makes this a masterpiece.
Much appreciated!
Very very nice. The wood combination of walnut and maple really make it a piece of art. You almost just want to display it and not use it.
Thank you I made the same one for my kids and looks amazing.
I think this might be one of the coolest cutting planks (and its tutorial) I've seen so far. Really cool. Impressive work, man. Beautifully done.
👏👏👏
Hey Newton, another great project, the contrast between the Walnut and the Maple makes the board for me. Stunning grain from the Walnut, thanks for sharing.
I'm always looking for a wood that will contrast with walnut but I end up going back to maple because it's such a good pairing.
amazing!!! thank you for this video 👍
The geometry classe at the beginning was really entertaining, and the making was great. Cool video!
its so nice thank you for sharing this video
Great job & thankyou for your insight too 👍
Fantastic! I will be interested to see some of your other designs. Thanks for clear explanation of your process. Really nice work
I'll likely make more cutting boards in the future. I want to spread out the types of videos.
Awesome... MASTER.
Foi o seu primeiro vídeo que assiti e fiquei impressionado, parabéns pelo seu trabalho inspirador e pela forma como explica cada processo isso faz toda diferença, ganhou um inscrito, sucesso sempre!
Is amazing ! Thanks for share ! 👍🏻👊🏻💪🏻
Absolutely love this cutting board. U really took the cutting board to a whole new level. Appreciate yr time, effort and explanation.
Very kind of you to say 🙏
I absolutely love your channel! Even as a seasoned woodworker I always learn something new with your videos. Thank you for taking time out of your day to make these videos! God bless!!
Very nice of you to say! Thanks!
This was really nicely done, easy to follow and agree with other posters on the illustrations. I've built a few face grain boards and use the same bevel, also like that look. I've been looking into trying an end-grain and came across this, well done, was fun to watch.
👏
This is an amazing video. Super unique.
Thankyou for this video I am making a few really enjoyed thankyou for the details
Love your work.
Awesome! Learned a few things and you answered all my questions very quickly thank you!
This is so cool. I will definitely try this one. Thanks for breaking it down to make it approachable. 🙌🏾
That was absolutely my goal. I would love to see how it turns out if you get to make it.
@@NewtonMakes definitely! Will tag you on IG when I do.
Yes, really helpful explanations Newton. Thanks heaps mate!
Yes sir
It's awesome that you enjoy challenging yourself. I think you'd be a great shop instructor. Excellent. That would make an excellent chef's gift or a foodie, new home owner, really anyone who appreciates fine craftsmanship.
Always have to push myself.
Awesome. Can you imagine how much work a tabletop like that will be. Oh boy.
Don't forget that water pop!! Great looking board!
Hey, fantastic video! Great design and very well explained 🙂
That design looks great!
Look so good.....
Hands down, the best explanation for cutting board design/layout I have seen so far! Smashing your subscribe button!!
Appreciate it. It's difficult to explain end grain boards so I thought visuals would help.
This is FANTASTIC! I like the bevel for cutting boards as well.
What can I say? I dig bevels.
Wow! It turned out really pretty! 👍
Oh, that turned out great - thanks for the clear instructions
My pleasure!
Dude, you are great!
No, dude. You are great!
I think I'll leave it to the professionals . and buy one in the shops excellent review 😃👍🇬🇧
That is a piece of art! New subscriber, I really love your videos, keep up the awesome work :)
Dude! You nailed that description and graphics. 👊👊
Excellent illustration thank you so much you are very good
Awesome Video Thank you. I'm going to give that a shot.
I im brazilian, des is brillant. Vare vare good.
Bravissimo sia per il design che per l' esecuzione.
Woooow your work is outstanding beautiful keep it up
Awesome job, I was waiting for a video like this, keep up the great work. Now, time for me to go build one.
Glad it can help you out. If you post pictures on social media tag me so I can see it.
Nice video and cutting board. For glue ups like these I use a short haired small (about 2" wide) felt roller, much quicker and easier to get an even uniform glue layer.
Yeah man, those animations are what sets your video apart. Top notch! I really can't wait to try something like this.
It's an absolutely fun project to tackle. You certainly won't regret it.
Phenomenal.
I love how much glue you use. I'm also a glue nut. Funny I'm a cabinet maker. It was rare for me to ever build one wrong. Cause it was a passion to build cabinets. The foreman of the shop had to fix one I did wrong. When he started to take it apart. His frustration started building. Then look at me and said " Damn Goat, I give you credit. Because you're not afraid to use glue. That's why I like you. " That was a good feeling.
Really enjoy your work and videos. Looking forward to more. Many thanks
Thanks, Scott
Well done video Billy! Neat cutting board too.
Thank you sir. I don't know what will become of it because I already have a stack of cutting boards. Maybe a giveaway one day.
Man great accuracy
Thanks!
Très bon vidéo explicatif! Merci beaucoup!
That's a beautiful board! Nice work!
Thanks!
Amazing! Danke! Gracias! Thank you!
Simple helpful and fun to watch !
Thanks!
Superb craftsmanship 👍🏻, thanks for sharing your work with us 🙏🏼
Thank you for watching!
Parabéns ficou linda a sua tábua
Very nicely demonstrated on "how to" make understanding the assembly so much easier.
When we break it down visually it's pretty easy to tackle. 👍
Genius & creatif 👍
Amazing plans! Thanks. After the first board I discovered the little imperfections that can bite you and those that don't. Making my second now and am very excited to see how it comes out. I used walrus oil on the first and was disappointed in how dark the board became. It looked more defined unfinished. I have only waited 5 hours since coating, so perhaps tomorrow will look better. Will see if you have a link for your finish.
A great video, and simple explanations!!!
Thanks!
Very beauty job!
at last someone who explained how to properly do a cutting board from design to finish
splendid !
