From the 1974 BBC series 'Marty Back Together Again', Marty Feldman & Derek Griffiths perform this classic satirical song by the great Tom Lehrer. Apologies for the slightly dodgy quality, but it's a real rarity.

Marty Feldman is totally adorable, always was. And what a great rendition of the Tom Lehrer song! It will take a while for the KZhead folks to realize what a rarity this is. But they will. Thank you so very much for sharing this!
do you actually know Leher?
+jo jones I think I read something that mentioned him being able to get in contact with Lehrer on the internet once.
That Welsh line was one of the funniest things I've ever heard. Although it's weird they localised almost everything but the uniquely American event that the song is based on
The shepherd’s pie one was telling, because apple pie *is* British (not originally American... though there’s an early Dutch variety too). But the expression ‘American as apple pie’ is too well known for that not to stand out. Also, telling that when Americans think of something as American as possible, they go for somethiny British...
Also strange they went for a banjo even tho the original instrument used was the piano
I've never seen this version! I didn't realise it had ever been Britishised! This is amazing!
I didn't know singer and either song
I’ve been familiar with the song for a very long time, but is the first time I’ve heard it sung with British lyrics. It actually works.
I go back to this regularly
The Enoch Powell lyric had me in tears
Fantastic British interpretation of a American Song. (And I miss Marty!)
I don't know one original
This is great! Thank you! It's interesting to hear how they adapted the lyrics for the UK.
Derek Griffith's as a child watching play away taught me that we were all the same, will always love this man a true hero for all
I couldn't agree more an absolute national treasure
I dig older classics like this. Much thanks for uploading this.
Wonderful!

After 47 years this is still funny!!!
fantastic
Both talented men
"Enoch Powell will work the busses blacked up as a Sikh" lolol
Shame the tracking is so off-kilter - keeps causing the pitch to shift.
Ty for uploading this.
Wow!! Thank you.
1:40 Years later a young manga artist would take this line to heart.
