Manning 2004 being that low is criminal. He had a TD pass every 10 attempts and broke a TD pass record that stood for 20 years. That season is a top 5 MVP year of the 2000s

Matt Ryan at 19 is absolutely ludicrous 🤣🤣🤣
Im glad you guys acknowledged the fact that Brees was snubbed in 2009 for the MVP and first team all pro tean, over Peyton Manning. Sure, Brees had one more total turnovers than Manning (17 to 16). But Brees led the league with TDs and completion perecentage, as well as only being 112 yards short of leading the league in passing. Brees was the true MVP in 2009.
Cam Newton won the season MVP award, but it was a shame that he didn't win the Super Bowl. Still, he was the best NFL player in Panthers history.
Tough to argue against Cam but I would still have to go with Steve Smith. Was more consistent year in and year out, did it for longer, and also had a Super Bowl appearance. Cam was that dude though for sure.
Idk what abt Julius pepers he was very good as a panther
Julius Peppers, Steve Smith, and Luke Kuechly all beat him out if you ask me.

Ah yes, the using of stats to rank MVPs when 2000's numbers were good for there time. Yes they'd be average numbers these days, but passing was a lot harder then. And please explain mannings 2004 is soo low? 49 TDs in the early 2000's was unheard of.
I couldn´t understand that either. And his 2013 should´ve been number 1, and stay there, until his TD record (most in a season), gets beaten.
Keep up the good work TPS

The LJ this past season was a joke for MVP
Agreed. I was all season that no quarterback deserved the award, that it should have either gone to Tyreek Hill or Christian McCaffrey.
Yeah except it wasnt and he was almost unanimous.. if patrick mahomes, the players, and voting panel thinks he was the mvp its cuz he was nobody cares about a internet troll
LaDainian Tomlinson at 5 that's a fair spot but I rather put him a bit higher cause it was one of the best if not the greatest year of all time in 2006 he had a record breaking year 31 touchdowns in one season don't forget he had 28 rushing TD's on the ground 14-2 2006 but unfortunately he'd didn't go far into the playoffs after a painful defeat vs Patriots it's not his fault at all 10:06
Instead of just reading out statistics, this video would have been much more interesting if you’d analysed the impact each player had on their teams performance, which is why they were nominated in the first place

Matt Ryan at 19 is laughably 😂😂
Peyton Manning 2004 season at #17 wtf. 49 TD passes, only 10 ints, 67 CMP% and 121 passer rating. Only one of the 3 seasons with 45+ TD passes and 120+ passer rating. Most passing yds in a season with under 500 pass attempts
2018 Mahomes not being top 5 is actually crazy
It's literally at 6. Chill dude. Compare it to the other seasons above it. I can see you arguing that over Ladanian Tomlinson in 06, but the others in the top 5 are definitely on a different level from that first Mahomes MVP season.
Manning's 2004 season as the best passer ever at the time...throwing a touchdown less than every 10 passes is 17th...WHAT A JOKE!!!! Its probably the best or 2nd best QBR season ever. They didnt start the stat until 2006 or 7 but his total QBR was probably better than his 2013 season. Its easily top 5 bc its a top 3 QB performance EVER!!!
2004 manning is arguably the best statistic season. 1 out of 10 attempts is a touch down Ridiculous to rank it that low
Kurt Warner had such a tremendously amazing season in 2001 after he won the Super Bowl in 1999 he was awesome 2:02
Football was different back then now its video game stats.
Was it just that travesty of justice four game suspension that caused Brady in 2016 to have totally stellar numbers and yet still lose to Matt Ryan? He did get his revenge in the most scintillating comeback ever beating Ryan in the sb and possibly making Roger goodell cry
1. Lamar Jackson (2019) 2. Cam Newton (2015) 3. LaDainian Tomlinson (2006) 4. Adrian Peterson (2012) 5. Aaron Rodgers (2011)...
What they wont tell you about 2011 Rodgers is that Gb offense was beating teams so bad he ended up only playing 13 1/2 games that season
Almost everyone has a favorite MVP that they want higher on the list.. someone has to be there, so just because there's a case for one person, doesn't mean there's not a better case for another..
2013 Peyton Manning > 2007 Tom Brady
Brady had a better passer rating, better int to TD ratio, less ints, about 100 less pass attempts and best actual good teams in 2007 while Peyton was stat padding against trash teams all year.

Tom Brady ‘07 and Peyton Manning ‘13 are interchangeable at 1 & 2, but without question, Mahomes ‘18 is #3
Mahomes 2022 season deserves to be top 3. The man had the most yards of total offense in NFL history.
Tps on the ball as always. It hasnt been 24 different men, just 24 different season's
how are you gonna put so many qbs so low for mid stats but have 2023 lamar higher than them? Lamar was the definition of mid stats
2004 Manning should be top 3
Interesting to see how Brady would have fared during the Bradshaw/Tarkenton/Stabler (et al) era where he would have been treated like a linebacker. I have No Doubt about Brady's toughness, but he definitely would have been physically put to the Test!!
16 Ryan and ESPECIALLY LITERAL 04 Manning is a crime. 04 Manning is a Top 5 all time passing season. No way in hell it should be that low. Matt Ryan too
am I stupid for being’s confused by this, how have 24 different people won it since 2000 when thats 24 seasons and brady mahomes and rodgers and jackson have more then one?
2007 Brady is right, he broke the TD record, set the country on fire, it was the best offense anyone had ever seen, AND they went undefeated; meaning that any time things got tough, he pulled it off. No doubts about #1
Yall a mahomes hater 50 TDS 5K yards dont get TOP 5? BUT BRADY AND MANNING GOT 1-2 for doing it. ONLY 3 QBS EVER DONE IT. TPS TRASH TAKE

Randy Moss was the real reason why Brady got MVP 12:55
That wasn't even Moss who caught it
@Billyball35 Shut up all I'm trying to say is when Randy Moss went to the Patriots in 2007 he caught 23 touchdowns in a season still an NFL Record Brady had 50 touchdowns as well then they went to the super bowl at 18-0 until the New York Giants kicked there ass not once but twice in 2007 and 2011

who else already knew which mvp was gonna be number 1?
This is full of really bad recency bias and judging players against todays standards (there are been rule changes since the early 2000’s making offense easier, so stats don’t directly compare), this ranking should be more comparing how much better the MVP was compared to the league standard for the position that year (I think based on that the 2 best MVPs are 2004 Manning and 2007 Brady), but instead we have straight up stat comparisons without adjusting for how rule changes have made playing QB easier over the years, so QB stats keep inflating.
Manning had more passing touchdowns and overall yards, I could see you giving it to Brady if he won the Super Bowl… but neither of them did so how the hell if Brady and manning both ended up in the same spot at the end of the season and manning had better statistics, how would that make Brady have a better MVP of manning in 2013??
I'm a Pats fan and I think they should flip him and Manning. Manning broke Brady's record that year so how is he not #1?
Didn’t know Rich Gannon won it in 2022. 😅
