    • @@fuzzyotterpaws4395 NBC is National Broadcasting Company and CBS is Columbia Broadcasting System. TNT is Turner Network Television. The CW is the only major network I can think of that has a name that's just letters (it's the C from CBS and the W from Warner Brothers).

  • This is a good video, but these are acronyms, not abbreviations. An abbreviation is a shortened vers. Of a word, like “version.” An acronym is a series of letters which each stand for their own word, like “FBE” or Fine Brothers Entertainment.

    • I know this is old, and I hate to tell you this, but you're wrong. Only one of them, EPCOT, was actually an acronym. Because what an acronym ACTUALLY is, is an abbreviation that is pronounceable as a word. Like EPCOT, or NORAD, or NASA. Most of the ones in this video are just abbreviations. Don't believe me? Just google acronym and see for yourself.

  • When I was young, I was curious. I ask questions. I live in the Philippines and I know what AOL is. The only thing I didn’t know was EPCOT because I haven’t encountered it. I bet most of them don’t know what IP, USB, ISP stands for. I see the comment section saying they’re idiots. They’re not. They just lost curiosity and just accepted it for what it is.

No one can spell out a word just to shorten or make things quicker .. latest, POTUS, FLOTUS, SCOTUS .. what the hell man, spell out the words. It will take you a mere couple of seconds, but no you have to be the first one out with the story.. And as an added response, no one prof reads anymore.....

That indicates that the majority of them knew what it was but if they don't it's clearly because they don't use the word box office to describe that thing.
