A pipe bender is used to bend a range of piping but most commonly; plumbing and conduit (electrical) piping. It is used to bend pipe in different directions and around obstacles instead of creating a fitting. I hope you enjoy this video.

  • I like it but to tell you the truth i made almost the same in 1987 /88 to bend the aluminum pipes for the dipole of yagi antennas i still have it in my junk store, the only difference was that i also provided a guide with smaller pulley about six inches with half slot longitudinally, and i also made pulleys on my lathe machine, i used that for many years till the antenna period for TVs went off i think i still have one antenna with my cousin. Good work

  • A friendly suggestion for this project, Using vice_mechanism's thread rod method, kindly make the small pulley's pivet into adjustable distance pivet... so that we can bend various diameter pipes by adjusting the grip.. & thanks for your best tutorial

  • да маленький ролик должен крутится и тогда трубу не будет тащить через упорный уголок и корябать.и сама труба не должна протаскиваться а должна просто гнуться по опорному (большому ) ролику.этож обыкновенный ручной трубогиб сделанный своими руками

    • The most economical way to make the dies is probably with a hardwood, I suggest some hard maple. Cut your circle, then use a cove bit and a router to remove the wood. You could also put it in a lathe, but fewer people have access to a lathe I'm guessing. You could also make several passes at different depths using a table saw to remove the bulk and then file out the remaining with a file or half-rounded rasp.

  • You may find if you have a way of fixing (to prevent it turning) the larger forming roller it will prevent the pipe pulling through as you bend it.
