    • Most of the people look at the world through a " pink lens ". They refuse to see the reality. The possibility your neighboor, your family or your best friend or a coworker could be doing such things to others does not enter their mind until it is too late and the cops are asking about a victim. It is easy to look the other way in order to live in your " the world is a safe place " bubble. And most of us are lucky to traverse it without seeing the horrors happening on the daily basis. It is pure stupid luck.

I do know that the operation caused mass disappearances (los disaparesidos) throughout South America. However I'm fairly certain people did not even really know about or care about communism back then at least in Argentina. Anyway operation condor ended up being labeled as a means to kill dissidents, not communists, and the CIA proceeded to kill totally innocent people for their opinions, it was most common for them to be university students, they would fly over the rio de la plata and throw the students in with their bellies cut so they would sink. Dear USA politicians, fuck you for what your doing, what you did, and what you are planning to do.
