And better balance, better maps (BF4 had by far the worst selection of maps), and fewer gadgets that undermine skill (i.e. MBT LAW, active radar missiles, remote controlled mortar deployable on uncap)

I personally love BF1, just the whole atmosphere of the game. It's a completely different game than what we'd expect, but that's part of what makes it good to me. However nothing will ever best this era of battlefield
Bf5 was so underrated
Eh, Hardline was underrated as fuck. The amount of dumb fun I had driving a cop car packed with C4 into some criminals joyriding down the street was so memorable.
@@jacklennox2358 Just because you can do dumb shit, doesn't make it a good battlefield. Hardlines movement and gunplay are unbelievably meh. I played it for a few hours to give it a chance... and never touched it again. If I want only dumb fun with shit mechanics around it, then I have other options available.
@@vyclixs7178 yeah BF1 had great atmosphere and movement was improved wonderfully. Played it again recently after almost 1 year break and I enjoyed it quite alot. Sadly BF5 failed in almost all categories... such a shame.
Bf4 is and always will be AWESOME! Tons of unique weapons to choose from, tons of weapon/vehicular customization, tons of maps, my personal favorite the phantom program (finally getting that bow was so satisfying), and let’s not forget about the BF4 speciality... LEVOLUTION!
If they used BF4 as a baseline for BF6 I would be very happy.

I have yet to hear Jack say "Such a good game" "This is a great game" "I love this game" "Man, this game is great" to any other BF follow up games, then he does with BF3/BF4. Havent played BF3/BF4 for a long time (havent played any other BF game after it), but I always get gigity when Jack uploads a BF3/BF4 vid. Tells so much about everything else. These games became classics and are still played after 8 years. Gamers give them love because developers gave them love creating them too. How times have changed in a few years.

Battlefield 4 post launch and after numerous patches etc, easily the best fps I've ever played. Theres just nothing else like it.

I feel in love with Battlefield Vietnam as a kid, then BF2 came out and I met some of the coolest gaming friends that I still talk to 15 years later, these games when done well are just so good.

For me if was the least fun I've had in a game ever. I don't doubt it was once great and probably fun, but at the time I played it I didn't enjoy it at all. It's all my opinion based on my experience though, hope you had fun playing it.

I hop in and out every few months and each and every time it surprises me with how good it is compared to other shooters available nowadays. I just always come back to this game, even after 7(!) years.

The new battlefield DOES NOT need more scale. Scale is not an issue. Balancing maps for the right game mode and 64 players is far more important than stupid gimmicks that will hurt the game like arbitrary player count numbers
Agreed. If they just did wtf they SHOULD DO. I wouldn't care if it's still 32v32 tbh. Scale though has always been a battlefield staple. Go watch the trailer for bf3 armored kill dlc.

Yeah, to me Battlefield games (most of them) hit that sweet spot between arcady, fast-paced run and gun gameplay like CoD, and the giant strategical stuff and tactical plays of a milsim like squad.

God. From the start to like 3:30 is just pure Battlefield and what I miss from 3 and 4. Jack and Matimi0 literally just going on an adventure across the map, dealing with a number of problems in fun, creative ways while mixing it up. God I hope BF6 brings back this sense of adventure through a warzone.

My fondest memories of BF3 and BF4 were when my squad and I were at the top of the leaderboards, just absolutely tearing through the enemy team and the objectives.

i love how having more objectives than the enemy team actually stops your tickets from draining in this game unlike the system they implemented in BF1 where big comebacks are near impossible. because kills affect tickets almost as much as objectives now.
Yes but kills still affect ticket rate in bf4 also.....
