  • idk why but the way you spoke about taking some of the melons to let that one melon thrive made me think of that old song "Gathering Flowers for the Master's Bouquet" for some reason 😅.

    • There's a wonderful peace that comes when you surrender everything to Jesus and trust Him. I have experienced that constantly, but it's a gift everyone can have! :) God bless you! Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have PEACE with God through our Lord Jesus Christ Romans 5:1 Let the PEACE of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15

  • I love growing watermelons! My wife and I have a farm and I am so excited for spring. Does anyone know if doing too many varieties is a bad idea? I have 40 varieties of seeds. Last year I did 5 varieties. Is 20 too much for the season? God Bless you all! Holy spirit does call us to give things up for him. Its soo worth it. What you said at the end of the video blew me away. God wanted me to see this video. Wow…

    • @T Dubbs, your message was a big blessing to me this morning. So cool to hear a testimony of another gardener who loves Jesus. :) Thanks so much! As far as melon varieties, there really is no limit on how many varieties you can grow. The only thing it will affect is the seeds in those melons. (if you plan on saving them.) I would say, go for it and have fun. :) God bless you!

    • That is awesome! I am definitely going to do alot of different varieties now from what you said. After watching your video I am going to try to do a few real large watermelons this year. Is there any seed you recommend for beginners? My wife and I will be doing farm ministry this year and ministry through farming. We are super excited! Have a blessed day!

      @tdubbs934@tdubbs934 Жыл бұрын
    • Yay, that's exciting that you're going to try some big melons!! I would definitely recommend the 'Carolina Cross' variety if you're going for size. Just about all of the competitive growers are using that seed. You can find seed on websites like Burpees.com. If you're looking for 'Carolina Cross' seed with more potential, the best thing is to find a competitive grower and ask if they would share some seed. Many growers are very kind and happy to share seeds. :) I'm sure there are groups on facebook and other places where competitive growers connect. That's awesome that you and your wife are doing some farm ministry! I've often thought of how powerful that could be. There's so many ways to share the Gospel through gardening. I personally got in a relationship with Jesus through gardening analogies, so that's very neat to hear! God bless you guys, and keep running the race! One day closer to His glorious return and Kingdom. :)

    • wow man, that is amazing. I am actually trasiontiong everything. I am on the hunt for growing all things old world seed. time period I am searching for is 1800 to 1816 around the time of my home state Indiana state hood. Of Course I won't turn anything away from the 1700s lol. This includes all melons. From here on out though I want to get away from all GMO, and help preserve our past, and get back to true Native plants. Apple trees included.

    • This is just a permanent woodchip mulch. I started with 1 foot of raw chips. It broke down into the nicest compost. I did use a bit of 10-10-10 fertilizer but mostly just the woodchip compost and lots of water!

      @bearingmuchfruit4jesus@bearingmuchfruit4jesus9 ай бұрын
    • @@bearingmuchfruit4jesus ok great! Compost is the best organic soil i think. You use any calcium fertilizer?

      @exercise._.everyday.@exercise._.everyday.9 ай бұрын
    • @@exercise._.everyday. Nope. Most of the time it's actually just compost. Really I only water and use fertilizer if I'm growing the competitive melons because I want extra size. I just harvested some Crimson Sweet melons from my no-till patch today that were ginormous. And I wasn't watering or fertilizing them, just letting them sit there. ;) Do you garden no-till?

  • You seem to be a smart hardworking kid. What do you know and what do you think about the Atheists?

    @samsen201@samsen201Ай бұрын
    • Good question! I've met quite a few atheists. :) I like to tell them that they have a lot more faith than me. It takes a LOT of faith to believe the scientific impossibility that everything created itself from nothing! I like to share with them proof of God, which is actually really simple! When we look at a building, we KNOW there was a builder. The building is proof. It's the same with a painting. You don't have to meet the painter to know he's real. Also, if you see 20 cans in order on a sidewalk, that's proof that there was an orderer. A design (like a watch) is proof of a designer... I think you can see where I'm going with all of this. :) We look around at the earth and see the beautiful art of a sunset. That's proof of an artist. The order of kernels on a corn cob proves an orderer. The wonderful design of the human eye proves a designer... So the breathtaking creation I can see all around me every day tells me there is a breathtaking CREATOR! :) And if He created US, that must mean He loves us and has a story full of hope we can be a part of. I don't get angry at atheists, I love them and help them to see the exciting news of God's love for them! Thanks for the question! What do you think about atheism?
