People sometimes ask what my favorite pedal of all time is, which is impossible to say. So instead Im going to narrow it down to my favorite categories of pedals starting with Fuzz, these are some of my favorite fuzz pedals of all time. These are the pedals I reach for first when going for a fuzz tone on a gig or a session, and I couldn't do without them.

If you look at Leonardo da Vinci's painting on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel..god reaches out and touches man's finger. If you look really close that man has a Maestro FZ-1 Fuzz Tone clutched in his other hand. So a few hours talking Fuzz pedals can not be treated lightly :-)

please feel free to make as many 20-minute videos as you need to go through every fuzz you own! I for one would happily watch an hour and a half of that but I also recognize that I'm insane.
Congrats! You are a natural for this format - glad you are able to support you and your family with this side of the music industry. I don't think many would have imagined 10+ years ago when KZhead started that so much would shift to it, but you do a great job educating, and entertaining.

Fender Blue JR is a good amp for pedals
Black panel Fenders are my favorite, just not what Rhett seems to gravitate towards, hence the way the comment is structured.
@Not In The Box I don’t think he’s ever said anything knocking those amps. But he definitely has a thing for amps with gain. Also a lot of people know what fenders sound like (clean and loud) his channel is more about teaching people about gear than showing you his favorites all the time
That laugh at 5:00 is exactly why everyone should own at least one fuzz. They're raw, crazy and pure joy to play around with.

Please do many, many episodes like this! You have a wonderful touch and obviously know how to get great tones - there is a surprising range of sounds coming out of these pedals. I am yet to buy my first fuzz pedal other than what is onboard the MS3, I feel like my eyes have been opened here. And great news about the house!

My favorite: Beetronics Octahive. Fantastic octave fuzz. Others I really like: JHS Muffaletta (covers lots of Muff territory), Earthquaker Black Ash, and the recent Spaceman Sputnik III.

There are so many great fuzz units available now compared to when I bought my first Big Muff Pi in the early to mid 70's. One that I've been having tons of fun with lately is Walrus Audio's Kangra Filter Fuzz. Didn't make your list, but man... I'm really blown away by it! Especially flexible and versatile when using an expression pedal with it. Great for filtering other effects and for stacking gain stages. Great video and tones as always... cheers!

Between you and TPS, I've been converted. I now have an EHX Octavix. Into a Soul Food and then a Maxon FL301 flanger, it's the sound of the gods.

My favorite fuzz box is the Maestro FuzzStain. I bought this for $50 in 1978 (my SG Studio was $400 at the same time). It has a Sustain, Soft, and Hard, with a Drive selector wheel (0-10), and a Volume wheel (also 0-10) that acts like a Boost. And it has a bypass. I love the tone on this pedal and have for 43 years.

You're half correct on the JHS Cheese Ball, it's a clone of the Lovetone Big Cheese, as in my avatar. The Lovetone Cheese Source was a 2 in 1 pedal with the Big Cheese fuzz and the Brown Source overdrive pedals in one enclosure.

Hoof Reaper is great, it's my only fuzz and plenty for me. Can get some great overdrive tones with it as well, and pretty much any classic rock fuzz tones.

I have't been a big fuzz guy but I picked up a V1 Fulltone Soulbender a while back and it's fantastic.

For me, my favorites are the Catalinbread Perseus (A better Blue Box), the Voodoo Labs Proctavia, and the Electro Harmonix Microsynth (when you ignore the filter sweeps and triggers, and just stick to the voices, you get an amazing noiseless parallel octave/drive/fuzz)
