I’m flabbergasted. Rocksteady made a name for themselves by making a Batman game franchise that was not only a love letter to the source material, but set a gold standard for super hero game adaptations. And this is how they put an end to their Arkham Batman smh.

Ok, I agree they do a lot of shit in this game, but Brainiac being able to control Batman's mind isn't "bad writing". Brainiac's mind control is definitely more powerful than Joker's virus.
Since Brainiac is an alien villain, much higher than the normal batman villain, I guess that's why batman couldn't snap out of his brain control.

@@Endxure The Suicide Squad/Task Force X led by Rick Flagg jr from the DCAU, for example, would have sat through the ENTIRE speech given by Batman pertaining his contingencies on how to neutralize the other founding members of the Justice League because they run a tight ship. The Deadshot from the “Assault on Arkham” and “Hell To Pay” animated movies, which are loosely linked to the Arkhamverse, would have done the same because he’s meant to be a world-class assassin that does his homework. Even the crew from the mediocre 2016 Suicide Squad film would have been less careless than the SSKTJL version. Must I go on?

When have they ever respected Robin? Batman is the one with a cool stealth-like suit. Robin dresses too brightly for Batman's general skill set (stealth), gets adopted for crime fighting, gets killed off and or replaced very often, gets abused by Batman, the list goes on. Their primary job is being Batman's sidekick. So they either get upstaged by Batman, get taken out first because they don't have his plot armor, or get wiped out first because what better way to show Batman becoming an "irredeemable monster" than by killing Robin first? And on the rare occasion that is the "No Batman/Saving Batman" plot. Robin has to share it with his other Batfamily or the Teen Titans. Being Robin itself is a sign of being disrespected.
This means that the Riddler outlived Robin and that makes me mad.

Flash got pissed on, Green Lantern died in his underwear, Wonder Woman's lucky to have a heroic death, Batman gets headshotted by one of his weakest villains while having a bratty fit on a bench, and then Superman gets killed by guns. Who thought it would be a good idea for the Suicide Squad to "Kill the Justice League" in the most boring way possible?
Not even close at least Joel is a center part of the story and wasn't treated like nothing after his death. This would be like controlling Abby and his friends and killing Joel, Tommy, Ellie, and a bunch more while nobody cares and they keep making jokes about their deaths.
Far from it. Joel's death actually had a purpose, as heartbreaking and uncomfortable as it was. Batman's death doesn't seem to have anything to say, and just seems mean-spirited. Joel went out in a horrific way but at least his death meant something to the narrative and its themes.
If Wally West is alive in arkhamverse, maybe he could reset all with a flashpoint

To be fair, fictional characters are fictional and writers/story can do whatever they want with them. Critisize the game critically, but the people whose only problem is "they kill my favourite guy" are idiotic. There are better arguements to make that aren't founded on emotional immaturity.

I agree. The “Rocksteady canon” is as irrelevant to me as the “Disney canon” of Star Wars. Once the original creatives no longer have anything to do with the IP, the canon gets split in my eyes. Sure Arkham games are canon to Suicide Squad, but Suicide Squad will never be canon to the Arkham games. It’s a one way street.

This is part of their Multiverse. They already said so in the game that there were multiple universes that Brainiac wanted to control. As far as I'm concerned, this isn't the same universe as the Arkham Knight series, just a variant. We've seen different variants of the DC Universe, for example, Injustice

It’s getting a lot of mainstream attention now but that’s how the source material has worked in the big two for a really long time. I refuse to accept this game as cannon, it completely craps over everything Asylum, City, and Knight did. It ruined the already perfect ending that Knight gave to the series. It gives the same Batman we spent those 3 games (4 if you count Origins) the most disrespectful death you could imagine, and worst of all. This is what got Kevin Conroy's final performance as Batman......FUCK THIS GAME!!!

At the end of injustice 2 there is a ending possibility where superman and the heroes are evil so because of this story line I won’t be surprised if injustice 3 developers for some reason decides to continue the game from that ending instead of the good ending when it comes out and if it ever comes out

People don't realize killing off Arkham Batman is like killing off TAS Batman, it's such a beloved version of the character
There’s an issue in a more recent Batman Beyond comic run where Bruce ends up dying and it honestly was the way I would expect that version to go out, I thought it was decently well done. I don’t think it actually continues the story from the show but is loosely based on the same events or something, I remember the art style was pretty similar. But the actual DCAU Batman lived longer anyway since the comic showed him dying as he looked in the show but in the JLU Epilogue episode with adult Terry you see a way older Bruce anyway so they probably intended to have him die from natural causes or something

Played the game, and it was fun. Y'all gotta chill out these are just fictional characters. It's not like the comics are much better. There's so many comics with stupid plots, the entire idea of the Suicide Squad is getting a handful of wacky villains who are way out of their league, but somehow they manage to do the impossible. People talking about supes or batman dying as if they aren't comicbook characters. Just don't take the story too seriously and enjoy the ride. Going into a suicide squad game expecting a serious plotline is just stupid. And with the whole multiverse BS super-hero franchises love so much nowadays, they can just make a different game as if nothing happened. Also Nanaue is golden, I have a wide smile whenever he's on screen.
Call it copium, but I believe that this game is just an alternate dimension of the Arkhamverse dimension where after the Knightfall Protocol, Batman joined the Justice League, and Brainiac took over Earth and JL’s minds.

He ain't dead The corruption process gives them the ability to regenerate as to Flash's survival Wonder Woman does die tho as she wasn't corrupted and why her death was ceremonial
@Tyrineal but even if he Flashpoints it, it's not going to be the same Arkhamverse. It's going to be some other universe that replaces it like New 52, DCAMU, and the Tommorwverse. If they just wanted a reboot, just do it without sabatoging an already existing continutiy that people actually loved.
