Championship Play Off Semi Final, 2nd Leg. Scores are locked at 2v2 on aggregate and extra time is looming. In the last minute of stoppage time Leicester City are awarded a penalty, which is saved by Manuel Almunia (twice) and Watford launch an audacious counter attack with Troy Deeney smashing in an unlikely winner to send Watford to Wembley.
As an Arsenal fan, I was at the game as a neutral as part of my groundhopping quest to visit all 92 football league stadiums. Stadium 81 will always be memorable for this very moment
@Serowka11
I like how the first person to run onto the pitch is a middle aged woman with a hand bag
Thought the same thing lmfao
football us crazy
YES LMAO
Her name is KAREN
watford in a nutshell
People: Run on to the pitch Stewards: -|-
Looks like a scarecrow lol
I mean what can they do with themselves when more than 2,000 people run on the pitch?
They have an invisible barrier
Aggro Master it’s funny cause what’s the point of just standing there with their arms out lmao
I laughed there
The Karen of Watford graciously leading the crowd storm after the goal is absolutely beautiful
Passion knows no boundaries.
She was cleansed of her sins of being a Karen that day
Is every middle aged women a 'Karen'?. Do you even understand what a 'Karen' is?.
@@macman975 it’s a middle age woman who is a dickhead
@@plebhead_ Exactly. It's a woman who thinks she's entitled. So what makes this woman celebrating one of the greatest endings to a football match ever a 'Karen'?. You see the back of a woman for a few seconds and the OP calls her Karen.

To be a Watford supporter in that moment was to experience pure ecstasy.

And if u were a Leicester one in that moment it was heartbreaking
@@abxhdstudistm8640 Yeah, thanks for reminding me |-(
Indeed, unless you’re more concerned about recording than really watch the match and support the team, as the guy who made the video did...
2019: VAR Checking...
Yeah actually same thing happened in Turkish league gk saved the penalty and his team instantly scored the winner on counter (game was draw) however all that was canceled by VAR because gk was off the mark and penalty was replayed for a goal.
I hate VAR!
2020 no var

They can say they’re doing their job.

The one with the yellow vest or the one with the orange vest?
KeN SmilePachI I think it’s yellow vest she ain’t even trying

funniest thing for me is that blonde woman with the bag is the first person on? No hesitation, pitch invasion time!!
T-pose is the way
If leicester scored that penalty, perhaps they would never be able to win premier league so in the way this defeat was a gift.
one viewer well everything happen for a reason..
Ive actually thought this from time to time. If they won this and then the playoff final they would have gone up with a different team and then almost certainly never win anything
It was a gift my friend
I just hope that’s the case with Derby, loosing 2 play-off finals😔😂
Very true. The butterfly effect. God I love football.
I am Brazilian and have watched thousands of football clips from Brazil and around the world, I love Pele, Ronaldinho and the greatest of all, Ronaldo o Fenomeno.. I watched Brazil being world champions in 94 and 2002........ but this is the greatest moment in football history ever. Nothing comes close. Wow. Just wow, mad respects. Love this game, love British football.
Ronaldinho > Ronaldo
I mean it is right up there but to say nothing comes close is pretty ridiculous. Kelvin 2013, United 99, Aguero QPR, Grosso 2006 are at least close if not level.
@@christaylor1913 Istanbul tops everything
@@Mr8HARVEY not really mate, as a game yes 100% but I was on about goals, Kelvin's is prob the one
But have you watched Takis Karagiozopoulos goal against Olympiacos in 1989 ?
As a Leicester fan who was at the match that day, it's still is like a hot dagger through my heart. This is even after all the success we've enjoyed since then. It took me a couple of years to be able to watch that goal again.
imagine if someone told you that night in 2013 (after this game) that you'd win the Prem , make the UCL quarters and are 3rd in the PL in 2021 whilst Watford are in the Championship haha !

This is what makes football the best sport in the world. From despair to ecstasy in a matter of seconds...there's nothing more emotional than a last minute goal.
Pigisdeado also because most countries in the world has football as there national sport however Americans say u just kick a ball
@@tomstev2745 yeah and we can also say about basketball that they just throw a ball, but it's not like that. If you talk like that it's normal to not sound good

I just love how this video would have a completely different vibe if it was filmed from the Leicester stands
As a Milan fan who had the luck to see my team triumph against everybody, from Maradona on, I swear i can't recall such an ecstatic, perfect thing on a football pitch concentrated in a few seconds. This is the odds of life almost blinding you with fear, and then at your back, making your path clearer, once you passed the peril. This is not football, this is art. Magnificent. Just magnificent.
I feel like, perhaps, AC Milan has rarely come out of moments like these, where everything seemed lost, but the last second turned into a glorious triumph. Perhaps the closest would be when they defeated Ajax in the 2003 Champions League quarter finals
only Jesus saves ✝️
Look at the helpless man with the yellow coat just raising his hands be like: please don't enter the field..

You don't need to be Watford or Leicester's fan to enjoy this moment, It's a Pure Gift for everyone who loves this crazy game, Man, this can give you heart attack 🔥
no, I don't think Leicester fans enjoyed this moment...

Even as a West Brom fan, I still have to come back and watch this video every few months. Gives me goosebumps and makes me tear up every single time. Amazing. You don't have to be a Watford supporter to appreciate this, it's just a moment in history that epitomises all the reasons this game makes us feel every emotion imaginable, and all in the space of 20 seconds. It's fucking brilliant.
Respect to you , true im not a watford supporter either but this makes me feel i should be!! This and aguero's comeback with city to win them the league are one of the best comeback in history ;) Hope you have a great day my friend
From a Man Utd view, it's just 'Fergie time'..ho ho..I agree with you and I well-up too.
Matt I WBA same here. i watching 3 times in a year. an Antalyaspor fan.
Yep, me too and I'm a Leeds fan. Hard to imagine how insane this must have felt. I'm surprised no one had a heart attack tbh!
the chosen one well back then i wanted manchester united to win the league and when queens park scored 2 goals, i was so happy but then... that happened. It was amazing but damn it! I wanted queens park to win! (or draw because draw was enough for manchester united to become champion.)
Haha everyone running on the field and the security is just stand there arms open hahahaha you can't stop everyone EDIT: WOW 2k likes cheers
Like Area 51:" You can't stop all or us"🤣
I was about say that
Can't stop anyone 😂
Haha they couldnt care less
I used to work at a few grounds when I was younger. The stewards (not security - the stewards without Sia badges on their arms) are taught not to push or use any force against anyone (as you are untrained and could get in trouble), hence why they just stand with arms open rather than actually doing anything. If the fans run into you then it's on them, if you push/hit them then it's on you. That and they are paid minimum wage once a week for a 4/5 hour shift so probably couldn't care less anyway 😂
Football is nothing without fans. The cheers and joy of fans made my day. If fans were not there, this win would look like a simple friendly match win
This might be the most beautiful live pitchside video I've ever seen, great quality, landscape, captures every moment, and somehow manages to hold steady hands throughout. Thank you so much
Proper documentation to say the least
This is one of the most epic moments in football's history

Hope you didn't miss out on Watford's glorious 3-0 victory over Liverpool this year. The quality of those goals, the atmosphere there, man just keep watching it time after time.
Absolute GOLD! These are the moments we live for in football. Greetings from Mexico
Every time I watch it, I spot something new and interesting. The hilarious steward, the bag lady, Foresteiri being chased down by several fans, the linesman going "yeah, screw this for a game of soldiers" and running off the pitch, the Leicester player getting tapped on the back whilst on the floor, the girl in the grey with a busted ankle hopping her way across the pitch. Brilliant.
Steward: “Am I joke to you?”
Bro even as a leicetser fan this gives me goosebumps
That spilt second of silence that falls upon the stadium as Deeney kicks it towards goal! Now that's magic!
Finally youtube recommending something epic. Found out the penalty was for a dive... even more epic.
without that wrong call, this epic moment wouldnt have happened.
Mad how Number 37 for Leicester in the video is Harry Kane, if only he took the pen 😅

That ball is in the back of the net and one of the best sports moments this decade is never a thing

Hell, you deserve a beer just for holding the camera steady :-)
Thanks for posting this great alternate angle on one of the greatest ever last minute dramatic twists in football. Have to feel for Knockaert though - he was stuck in a look of pained incomprehension for at least five minutes after he took the spot kick.
