    • @@SometimeIsNow I’m a fellow John Deere 1025R tractor owner. I owe you a big thank you. Like you, I have a front end loader plus a front snow blower. Your video where you go from loader to blower in three minutes is amazing. After your video, and some shopping at Harbor Freight for those wheeled carts, I improved my time from an hour and a half to ten minutes. That first front bracket seems to get me every time. I need to turn my front wheels as far as they turn then lay in the ground to install that bracket. Even then, your front snowblower bracket seems to go on much easier them mine. I’m not as fast as you, and I do not have the single point hydraulic hose connector, however I’m satisfied with my time improvement after using many of your time saving techniques. In a time race between us, you would win. However, thanks to you, in a race between me and the former me, I have improved a lot. I’ve shared your video to a 1025R Facebook group several times. So, thank you. You helped me.

    • @@DougAlesUSA That’s quite an improvement from over an hour down to 10 mins. I’ve had someone else comment on this videos asking why their front bracket was different than mine. I was wondering if it’s either due to having a newer tractor than mine (Mines a 2017) or having a totally different mounting bracket because the dealer installed a mounting bracket that supports both a mid mount mower and snowblower. I use to own a new JD 2520 with turf tires, loader, 62” mid mount drive over mower and 54” snowblower but sold it to downsize to the 1000 series 1025r as everything for the 1025 doesn’t take up so much room in the garage. I then bought my Zero turn mower for the same price it costs for a mid mount mower and I can mow so much quicker with the zero turn over that large 62” mower on the larger tractor. The Single point connection is well worth the money and if I could only do one upgrade to my tractor it would be that over anything else. I hated screwing around with those 4 factory connections as one would always stick. The frustration they caused I would have spent twice as much 😂 Take Care

    • @@SometimeIsNow I can answer only what I know. My 1025R model year is 2020. Thats the year John Deere made the mid and front attachment points interchangeable between the 2025R, 1025R, and 1023E. The first bracket that connects the long mid to front PTO shaft has a removable shim. I’ve learned this shim is optional and removable. I heard you must use the shim on the 2025R. However it can remain or be removed for the 1025R or 1023E. I removed and kept the shim from the bracket. Removing that shim from the bracket improved my bracket installation time from 45 minutes of mostly cussing to 5 minutes, still with a cuss or two. Hope this helps.

  • As always nice job, you might want to check out Deck Dolly he makes a snow blower extension for both the 47" and 54" blower it makes it taller so snow does not go over the top. I have one for my 54" and it looks like its going to work good. keep up the great videos on your 1025R.

    • Thanks Russell, 👍🏼 I’ve already been looking at Deck Dollys Blower extension from @countycat1958 . Sometimes the amount of snow we get in a single snowfall has the deep snow falling over the top of the blower and it would be nice to have it a little taller. Take Care

  • I've got to say, the hardest part of this installation was pushing the battery terminals and fuse holder through the plastic hole to get into the battery. Was no easy feat, I had to cut the cap off the fuse holder to get it through. Besides that, it was a walk in the park!

    @adamd4218@adamd42184 ай бұрын
    • Hey Adam, Thanks for the feedback.. Yeah the area where you have to feed the 2 wires with fuse block was a tight fit. That’s why I wrapped the 2 wires and fuse block tight with electrical tape to make it somewhat easier to feed through. Like you said.. everything else was a quick walk in the park for sure.. Take Care and you’ll have to report back once you get to use it throwing some snow.. 👍🏼

  • Well hello Mr. Sometime Is Now. Just to let you know I have been looking at your channel for a few months now. Looking and then re-looking at a few things you have done. Because of you I Installed a Side Step on my 1025r (it has 4 hours on it) and I love it. Also the spacers are installed. You take the time and explain in detail how to do things and I thank you. Like you once said, some people have to see in order to comprehend. The reason why I am sending you this is because If I was a Conspiracy Theory I would believe someone had it in for me. I, because of you (and did not know if i mentioned your channel I would have gotten a few dollars off), got the Ultra Max Chute Actuator. Looking at the wire harness I was under the impression two sections came ready to install. At 2:38 when you picked up the harness, it looked like the blown fuse indicator was connected (all one wire). I got a fuse but it has or shows no indication of a blown fuse Indicator, just a cap. Now at 11:20 It looks like Merit Automation sent in the updated kit from the switch sent two conduits, each has two wires inside. One you will send through the whole to the right side, and the other you will send on the left side to the battery. All I received was a wire long enough to reach from the switch, fish through the hole and then connect (on the right side) to the Chute. I did get the hardware for the chute along with the new actuator but that's it. What I think I will have to do is take this to home depot and see from one of the associates if they have the right gauge wire to connect from the switch to the battery. Hey I know this is not your fault, just needed someone to talk with who might understand or give some help on what I might do to finish this project. Love the Rottweiler. I had one for quite a few years. He got old and you know what we have to do, make him suffer so we can satisfy our own emotions or give them peace. They love the snow. Mr. Sometime Is Now, keep up the good work. and I dread the 50-hour mark. but you make it look easy. Take Care.

    • Hello sir, First let me say Thank you for watching.. It’s greatly appreciated. Something seems off. If you received the Ultra Max kit and it not already prewired and ready to hook something is definitely wrong. Could you please send me photos to this email of what you received and I will forward them to Gary. I spoke with him last night and told him you had an issue. Send photos to yoursometimeisnow@gmail.com and i will forward them to Gary. He will 100% find out what the issue is and correct this. The kit should have came prewired to the toggle on one end and have 2 sets of prewired connection. 1 connection that plugs into the actuator and the other with the two (red and black) connections tot he battery. Let me know Thanks, Greg

    • Sounds like you purchased the u wire kit. That kit the fuse holder does not have the light. You also get 14 feet of wire. Which must be cut in half. Of you purchased the u wore kit this channel already has a video for that one.
