The two boys were both having feelings for her, there was something wrong between the taller boy( the one that save him) at the end DIMASH gat her. The girl was his daughter and the boy at the end his son. That son was tough to be an important person for the unity of all races and religions. Also there is where he entered the idea of reincarnation, his boy does not come out until his dead. Hi friend! Thank you for your sincere reaction! Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least!😢 Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace and harmony, through his music, MVs and many charities he dedicates his time to. He is a Legend and will go down in History. The mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was made by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The Piper grew up and started a war, using the symbol of the necklace as the crest on his army uniform. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: 1) Dimash, who was drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, the one who saved Dimash, and who became the leader, and who was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son at the end, who inherited the necklace from her mother…, they were all torn by the war. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim, Shepard or Wise Man at the end of the video was Dimash’s newborn son, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love and harmony. As a sort of stream of consciousness "life flashing before your eyes," he ends with the peaceful image of the little boy, Dimash, in the boat with the little girl, Dimash's wife. Thus, the peaceful image at the end of life. I don't think the image and the change to pleasant, lyrical music makes sense if the other little boy is Dimash.

However, the older boy who saved the younger crushed/bent the symbol while holding it in his hand. Thus the symbolic inability to keep his morals pointing in the right direction. The first scene where you see the dictator you can see the bent gnomon on the podium while he speaks.

These are my views on this amazing masterpiece Story of One Sky - I have watched this many times and still find things out that i never thought of amazing video and i have said it before if anyone could bring peace i strongly believe Dimash could make it possible. This needs to be shared worldwide to show people there is another way. War is never the answer because the only ones to suffer are the innocent. Rewatched the song of Dimash today one line stood out to me One of the most profound lines in The Story of One Sky is the line "Learn to share the love, Not shares" Not shares meaning stop making money out of war rich people have many shares in companies that profit from weapon manufacturing making them richer while the innocent suffer sadly this is why war exists. MONEY, GREED and POWER. The boy who was drowning was (Dimash's character as a child) made the necklaces that were given to the girl who grew up to be (Dimash's pregnant wife) and the boy who saved him who (grew up to be the military leader), possibly out of jealousy. The military leader waged his war The part in the video with the little girl and the people in the hallway were Dimash's family who had been wiped out the little girl whose body he picked up was his daughter, the baby that was born was his son who grew up to be Dimash grown up at the end!!! The Dimash at the end can also be seen as Dimash in the afterlife leading others to the light in peace. The This video needs to be shown worldwide. Something else i noticed is in his dying breath he sang (We're Choosing Life) as he finally passed away now that is powerful

It took Dimash 3 years to compose the music and write the screenplay. He was also very involved in every aspect of the filming and recordings of the orchestra. He said it is the most expensive MV in history. He performed this live at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and in front of the gathering of world religious leaders, including the pope. He did NOT say it costed 7 million. That is an interpretation that some people have made comparing to other music videos. He wrote: "It is the most expensive music video", but as many Russain and Kazakh speaking people have said, it is very possible this was simply lost in translation as the words "expensive" and "valuable" as in important, are the same words in those languages. It is not like Dimash at all to talk about money. Every time he has been asked about money in interviews he says money is not important to him. This is his most important, most valuable work so far in his life, and i do believe he meant that instead of monetary value.
Dimash has never spoken of money or what anything has ever cost. Please don't keep sharing that. In fact it was a translation error that even had it saying "most expensive" MV. He in fact said "most valuable" ❤️🤗❤️

As already mentioned in the comments, the symbol is a gomon from a compass, but when it becomes a symbol of war, the hole that lets the light through is blackened, so it is not the same symbol. I saw someone suggest elsewhere that this symbolizes losing the ability to find true north, and equate that to losing one's moral compass. I think it's a good analogy. Dimash's choice to use his platform/influence/ power to speak in this way, rather than to serve himself, gives me so much respect for him as a person. How often does it happen that the most gifted people are also worthy of so much respect for their character? I have not seen it often.

Its epic and heart wrenching to watch how he pour his heart and soul. Since theres no distraction, you can focus mainly on his voice. All his skills and talent were pour, blended , mix, name it into this song. Never heard of any singer who can sing for 9mins without losing stamina and breath. He detests war and has stated that wars are always between two people not two nations. He has stated that he is 'only a singer' so all he can do is 'use his voice'. This is Dimash's humility and him using his voice. Dimash composed the music and wrote the screen play. This was a project 3 years in the making on and off in-between commitments in many countries and his homeland not to mention his concerts of which there has been four in just this year alone. Dimash premiered The Story of One Sky live at his concert in Almaty, Qazaqstan on the 23rd September and the video released on the 24th. The emotion, heart and soul is real and I believe this was a way for him to vent his frustration at current world events. It’s mostly about life, death and rebirth. Director Alina Veripya is second to none in her field and portrayed everything magnificently.I believe she also directed ‘Okay’ for Dimash which was a great video. The Story of One Sky is an absolute mind blowing masterpiece and deserves unrivalled recognition from all corners of the earth. This makes you sad, cry and smile but leaves you questioning the direction we as a humans are travelling. Dimash has stated this is not for mainstream music but he felt the need to write it. We disagree. Dimash promised something epic and that was a colossal understatement. He delivered as always. ❤💕

You should see the movie separated from the lyrics and then put it together, That's what I've done and I believe it was the right choice. I agree with you that Dimash is conveiing a message that can be understand from anyone. The images (MV) and the voice (chanting and all) sure make his statement. Glad to see you reacting to Dimash again. It's been a long time!😁 Dimash worked 3 years on this project and he mentioned that he suffered a lot emotionally during the whole process. Dimash has really taken his art to another level with this cinematic work. It's more than just a video clip, it's a wake-up call! If he doesn't win a prize with this masterpiece, I wonder what it will take!. He is so invested in the welfare of humanity and in the unity of all people. It took a lot of courage for him to produce a 14 minute music video on such a disturbing subject and to show us these shocking images, especially with all that is happening on our planet right now. Sometimes we need a shock like that to make us realize that even if it's not in our backyard, these horrors really exist. For my generation, it may be too late, but for the generations to come, there is hope. We must educate our children to tolerance and acceptance to others regardless of their differences of culture, religion or nationality. The juxtaposition of love, peace and friendship against war, destruction and death, is just portrayed so beautifully in this video. From Dimash's character nearly drowning and his joy at being alive to the visual of his death in the water, having exacted revenge for the death of his child.....from his friend saving him from drowning [an act of great love] to becoming the war monger general.....from the young girl smiling happily at the young boy [who will become her husband later] and her death in childbirth [Dimash's son - who will go on to help lead people to peace] - just amazingly pieced together. The visual of all the faiths walking together - the reminder that we are all born under the same one sky and we die under the same one sky - what we do between the beginning and the end IS the whole point. If you can find it, go watch the fan cam [it is well captured] of Dimash performing this live at the concert he performed in Almaty in September - the pouring out of raw passion from Dimash is the stuff that makes you stop dead in your tracks - just amazing.

Here is a few things to help understand all the aspects of the story of The Story of One Sky. It is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting. Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself. The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. In the MV, the child who later becomes the military commander never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, the boy, gives his friend the pendant, the camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl. Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through, as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers. Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way. The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment, we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war. The fog of war obscures the light. When he is killed after exacting retribution, he is dropped back into the "sacred womb" of Earth, the ocean of love and mercy, and is cleansed of the old hatreds and grievances that only bring more death and suffering. He breaks the wheel of endless war and suffering by choosing life. Dimash's scream of “we’re choosing life” is that of giving birth: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. Soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity as exemplified by the images of the children and the newborn baby. The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused and judgment is removed.” Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect. Carl Jung wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time. He used over 300 people in many fields, went to 3 countries, tons of equipment and expertise in every aspect. It is said that he spent 7 million dollars on the making of this. And he also made another video without the story but just with the religious people struggling towards the light, and he sang this live for the conference on religions. The Pope was there and gave him a medal of gold. Dimash has poured his heart and soul into this project for peace. He also sang it live at his recent concert in Kazakhstan. Dimash started writing the music 3 years ago, he then wrote the screenplay and according to Kazakh press it took 20 days to film, 300 people were involved in the music video and another 100 for the music. It's reputedly the most expensive music video ever made at over $7 million. It's something that you expect from an artist who's had a lifetime of experience not a young man of 28 who still hasn't reached the pinnacle of his career, not to mention that his acting skills are pretty much Oscar worthy now. Even seasoned acting coaches and film directors have commented on how good an actor he has become.

War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children. (Requiem means: Funeral, Funeral Mass, Funeral Service) Story: The clip is divided into several parts. The first is about childhood. The main character and his 2 friends are linked in eternal friendship through childhood stories and a symbol (necklace). One day, the friend saves the protagonist when he is drowning. However, there is already competition in this children's story as the boys are in love with the girl and she chooses 'Dimash'. The pendant is a gnomon, the shadow hand of a sundial, which also served as a sea compass before antiquity. Uniform wearers wear this symbol on their heads. So it can't work. The second experiences a kind of nervous breakdown and transfers the children's problems into the world of adult totalitarianism and struggle. By becoming President, the antagonist (Piper - in reference to the 'Pied Piper of Hamelin') carries within himself the idea of a war to save: “Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give freedom to the world. A world where every city, every home is one. We will guide all who are ready to start this new life. Anyone who resists has no business with us. I choose freedom. The world is open to me and I want to give it to you. While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife (the very girl from his childhood) and his daughter. Me alegra que hayas vuelto,me extrañaba qué no reaccionaras a tan grandioso Requiem, una obra épica, sublime, bien pensaba,compuesta, con tanta excelente creación, tiene tantas interpretaciones, quiso hacer un llamado a toda la raza humana, no sólo es por las guerras tan crueles que pasaron y están pasando,por la locura de personas dementes con sólo la intención de ser los más poderosos del planeta, sin importarles la vida de nadie, sino también nuestras propias acciones,hacia los demás, valores qué se están perdiendo, empatía, hermandad, unión, respetar a los demás por sús razas,sú color,sú cultura. Nos estamos volviendo fríos, el No Te Metas!!, no respetamos a nuestros abuelos, a los niños, mujeres, nos olvidamos muchos de ser solidarios, dadivosos, mucho egoísmo. Se mata a una persona cómo sino fuera nada. Nos dejamos manejar por gente perversa,qué sólo ellos les importan. Esta gran obra tiene mucho para decir, para desglosar, para qué nos miremos por dentro, y a los costados siempre hay alguien sufriendo más qué nosotros, o necesitando alimento,o simplemente un abrazo!! Demuestra cómo cambiamos, sinos queremos? Porque nos llegamos a odiar? Significa tanto ésta excelente obra, es para pensar,estamos a tiempo? Que le dejamos a nuestros descendientes? Podremos parar tanta locura, perversión, ayudando cada uno de nuestro lado,siendo mejores,cuidando nuestra casa, que es nuestro mundo? Es el mejor cortocinematografico de muchos años. Sú esfuerzo dió un gran fruto, un gran mensaje a la humanidad, por favor entremos en razón!!! Por el aire vivimos, pisamos nuestra hermosa casa, cuidémosla, "Ama a tú prójimo cómo a tí mismo"", uno de los principales mandamientos qué dejó nuestro Señor Jesús!! Pero, los amamos???......... Hay mucho para interpretar!!! Me alegra que hayan vuelto mis queridos. Dimash pasó sús límites, el decía qué todavía no sabíamos hasta dónde podía llegar y demostró ser único en el planeta, el mejor cantante y mejor voz del mundo 🌏.
