    • Love it since reading Robert Johnsons' bio in JR High around 1963. I still have that very paperback, read it at least three times. I have two other hardbound none being first editions.

  • It was NEVER nicknamed the Juggernaut.....It was just The Jug. It was nicknamed the Jug because of the shape of the fuselage NOT because of Juggernaut. Do your Homework better Bud......

    • Juggernaut was more of a British term drawn from it's formidable size and ability to deal and take damage. The US separately derived "Jug," itself a comment on its shape being evocative of the common farmhouse galvanized milk jug. It is likely the British heard it referred to as the Jug and assumed it was short for Juggernaut. It also wasn't just "The Jug," as T-bolt was also a nickname, among others.
