Knock is the Lore which opens the path. Here, we aim to open the paths that exist in our minds - perhaps you wish to follow.
My voice is all over the place in this, it was the Season of Sickness I suppose.

WE MAKING IT OUTTA NOWHERE WITH THIS ONE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
🧿you are never leaving nowhere bro🧿
One thing of particular note is that Knock was one of the aspects of the Seven-Coils, and the principle of Knock is still strongly tied to snakes, as seen in the control a sufficient potency of Knock permits over snakes in both Cultist Simulator and Book of Hours, that the Viper pet from Book of Hours has Knock-aspect and that one of the methods of having the first Silver-dream is by suffering a wound to the sole of the foot, particularly one inflicted by a snake. Knock is one of the aspects of Shapt, the element of soul that has to do with eloquence and understanding - which makes sense, as both a means of opening ways and of untangling puzzles.
I love this! The game is fun enough on its own but to have context and deeper lore makes it so much better.
I love this series. Please keep going :)
Oh my, this is amazing! Straight through the keyhole and into the Mansus 🔑🌙
I have a joke Open Reverend: Knock, knock Church goer: Who is there? (Mare-in-the-Tree kidnaps you)
that shit happened to my buddy Eric
Can't wait for Lantern lore! And I bets next one is Forge
Your videos are really great. It's so satisfying to have so much condensed informations about Weather Factory's lore. Plus Knock is to my mind the most interesting principle
You have done so far the three I needed for a dnd character of mine, as the "wounds are thresholds" is a thing I yoinked for my necromancer haha. I love this Lore, alongside Winter, Moth and Lantern.
That's very cool, I think the most interesting magic systems involve the sacrifice of the body in some way so it's great to see some DnD getting that treatment hahaha
@HandsomeLib Well she is a necromancer that became so by accident, due to her being a doctor that wanted to be on par with magical healing (but was no priestess), so she has the best next thing. So when she wounds an enemy or a friend, she is opening a threshold to change (in her eyes, at least). Knock is a big inspiration for things she uses, like the Anchor Points she uses to cast or the wounds she causes herself when sacrificing her life die to hit harder. I'd talk about it for far too long - and I rewatched this video several times to understand if I forgot anything. She'd be a devout follower of the various Knock Hours, not gonna lie. If I had to give her Aspects, she would have Knock, Edge, Moth, Winter and Lantern.
I've been waiting for this one! Glad it's finally here, this series genuinely made me start another run of CultSim. Keep up the good work!
Thank you! That means a lot - I hope having more context to what's going on only makes it more fun :)
Fantastic stuff. KZhead needs more CS lore channels.
Can't wait for the Moth content.
These deep dives are gold. My fav part of the lore is the thematic depths every aspect provides. Very cool
Thank you for fueling my hyper focus of this lore :)
Hell yeah.
You are so good at the explanation dude really commendable
Thank you, that’s a wonderful sentiment - clearly i haven’t been doing this for very long so any kind of feedback is greatly appreciated
Great video my man. I love the lore of the CultSim world and having a more in-depth and condensed source to expand on it feels great. Can't wait for the Moth video!
Thank you, that means a lot - I was quite frustrated that the niche had not been filled since the lore does appear to go very deep, and I think would stand up to analyses that I either don't have the time or the ability to actually do myself. Even at this stage I'm learning pieces of lore that I feel that should have been included in videos already done
@@HandsomeLib I don't think that learning about the pieces of lore that should have been included in previous videos can be helped tbh. As you yourself just said, the lore does go very deep and the little pieces of lore are pretty scattered and at times related to other types of lore that you wouldn't think of at first. In any case, I can't help but congratulate you on your work and encourage you to keep going at it. And well, if you decide to finish the series and cover all the lores and still feel like it, you can always do a "remaster" or "definitive" edition of the videos with the perspective that having delved into all the other lores would bring. Not sure how appealing that would be for you as a content creator or to other people as an audience, but I would sure as hells watch it all hahaha.
@@TheMEGAJCB yes I think you're correct on all counts. Honestly depending on how the next few months pan out nothing can be truly discounted. As things stand I still plan on completing the series, one is quite literally about to release.
Yeeees give more i need references for ttrpg players
Can't wait for the Grail lore! Wonderful video
Love this😊
love the video dude your my idol
I'm SO waiting for SH episode
I'm really enjoying these videos, I can't wait until you do Forge. :D
I believe Mme is short for madam
Easily done, lol
@@HandsomeLib I know that I made the same mistake for a long while, lol
Hello, I'm not sure if it was YT that deleted my comment or you but on the offchance you didn't see, commiting Ramsund to Birdsong in the Tree of Wisdoms in Book of Hours reveals that the Moth is also an Aviform Hour, I provided a link earlier which might be the reason my comment got deleted.
Wasn't me, since if nothing else I expect to miss some stuff - that off chance isn't so off, this time. Ramsund committed to Preservation also mentions a seventh member of the Roost - it's a topic I'm planning on leaving until I'm writing the script where I can put more focus on it.
