    • Maybe the heating system is eating up lots of energy without being able to deliver it to the cabin? I would not expect wonders at 20 degrees Celsius, but the consumption should indeed be significantly lower: Less air density, but not too hot, no need to run cooling systems at maximum power.

      @ziggyyo@ziggyyo15 күн бұрын
  • MG4 does sth simmilar with the rage. Sure if you hammer it the next charge won't show super many km but if you reach 40 percent the shown km doesn't match your consumption anymore. The car takes KMs away to be safe that you dont overestimate how far you could go. If you calculate yourself, you could go the rest of the trip easy. The car steals about 10-20 percent of your initial kilometers just to be sure you charge :D

  • Bjørn, your consumption is very high and significanty higher than what I experience in my FOO which I have beed driving 8000 km since September last year. I agree that the Fisker Ocean is thirsty, however you are driving fairly fast at > 123 km/hour (which is clearly above the speed limit). In addition you are driving on winter tires in sub zero (C) temperatures. My experience during winter time is a practical range of 420 km (100%) and now in the spring 550 - 600 km (100%) provided I keep to the speed limit, not exceeding 110 km/h. Overall you keep on making a big point about the rear light that keeps turning itself on - this never happened to my car and I never heard that from other Fisker owners. Despite some bugs which have become more rare I actually like it a lot - apart from the issues related to a looming BK and incomplete software deliveries - which may never come

    @BjarneLauritzBull-Berg@BjarneLauritzBull-Berg14 күн бұрын
    • Just another point to Bjørn - tyre pressure is also important for milage - did Bjørn check that the tyre pressure was at 42 for the winter tyres - if they were let’s say 20% lower - millage will be impaired. I changed to my 22” summer tyres and they require 44 pressure - over the winter storage they were down below 30, hence the common advice for all cars is to regularly make sure your tyres are correctly pressurized 😊.

      @BjarneLauritzBull-Berg@BjarneLauritzBull-Berg14 күн бұрын
    • Yet another piece of advice; when seeking to reduce consumption in Earth Mode or any other mode - use the seat heater and the steering weel heater instead of bumping the HVAC up to maximum heat - this is of course a well known advice for all cars, not only for Fisker - have a look at this review from a Dane in the US who has driven 10.000 milen in his Ocean One and who has even ordered an Extreme at the discounted price kzhead.info/sun/abV6naeLhHudlZ8/bejne.htmlsi=lqh-Tf7lM6lVMrXL

Even if another manufacturer buys Fisker, will they be able to make money on spending that much time refining this car? Or will they get a better profit by just taking what's good about the Fisker company - skilled employees, knowledge, etc. - and incorporating it into their own business structure, while ditching the rest?

  • Fisker, unfortunately, released the ocean to early on the streets. Customers become in fact alpha testing, not even beta testing. This, combined with the current Financial situation will come to a bad end, I assume. This would save ~15-20m off or your 1000Km time, so definitely a good road tripper, even if consumption is a bit on the bad side. Like you said though, I think the design of the car, while it looks great, has a huge impact on consumption.

  • 375Wh/km is a bit absurd. There should be e "minimum efficiency" standard to be able to sell in Europe. Over here at least, if you buy a large displacement ICE car you get a nice massive bill in taxes to pay, but there is no penalty if you buy this brick on wheels. It makes no sense. Hyundai & Tesla had the correct approach, build a family car with decent range and very good efficiency. You don't need massive expensive batteries to get decent range.

    @chipel0@chipel015 күн бұрын
    • Check the result table at 30:51 - the average consumption is 348 Wh/km - it’s not the worst consumption, and the 10h15m time is quite good. The Ocean needs some software and hardware optimizations to improve the efficiency and to lower the energy consumption. Let’s hope there is an investor to make this possible for the current Ocean and a next generation car.
