That could definitely interfere with Alvarez's ability to hold together a game plan. If Alvarez can't recover some of that in the fight, he could be in trouble.

If it went full fight, Conor had that in the bag. True champs never lose and when they do, they know why and come back and win to prove it was a fluke. He's probably going to try to wrestle. The only issue with that, is that Conor has done a LOT of training for takedown defense. We saw that in the second Diaz fight. Nate went 1/7 on takedowns I think, and Conor isn't known for his wrestling. Eddie's probably going to have to feint really well to get a solid takedown.

This fight is a clash of styles. Cerone or RDA would have been a much harder fight for Coner. I'm betting that Alverez is either knocked out in the second round or the fight gets stopped in the 3rd. Think about what Cerone did to Eddie and double it, Coner's 5in reach advantage will feel like 10 inches and he's a much better boxer with a knockout left hand. Eddie is going to struggle to get his plan into play without getting picked apart.

Eddie aint no 5'9" Coner is about an 1-1/2 taller with a way longer reach. I always look at the reach with the shoulder and waist height rather than head height. That is where the movement comes from! Coner has him on the shoulder and reach and is even on the waist. Coner needs to keep it on the feet and if on the ground neutralize and take minimum damage if he is going to win. If Eddie wins I feel it might be at the expense of his face and will probably have to win by KO or sub.
