    • RB by committee/situation, injury insurance. Zeus won't be a 'feature back' with 30-35 carries. AB and Telesco interested in Raiders a threat in vertical game vs. running game; that's why all the hub-bub about a 10-year QB from the draft.

    • Zeus was the main factor in the decision not to sign Jacobs. Raiders running game was at its best in 2023 when Zamir White was the lead back. The speed/power element with Zeus really complemented a WR group that doesn't have a ton of breakaway speed.

  • Saying Jacobs is only 5% better is insane. That was Jacobs worst season of his career, missed the last 4 games of the season, and still has slightly better numbers. Jacobs upside is leading rusher and workhorse back, while Mattisons is backup at best. That being said, there was no way the Raiders should have paid him that much to keep him, but I'm glad he got the money he deserves.

  • What’s not in this calculation is heart. The kind that helps move an NFL team into the right direction since John Madden. The kind of hart that could’ve gotten us deep into the playoffs next year -but now probably won’t! They always conveniently leave that shit out when it comes to paying up. Look, I’m actually okay with him gone, but don’t act like it ain’t no loss. This dude was Raider and that actually means something.

    • It's an awesome draft but never happening at those prices we'd need to give up next years 1st at the least in addition to Penix being there at 42 which is highly unlikely. If we could pull that off it would be as good a draft as the year we got Mack and Carr. Even if we have to give up future picks i'd be on board. We need another OL one who could play guard and tackle and a veteran CB which is possible and we would be a damn good team that no one would want to play.

His coach made him carry a football wherever he went in the facility and all his teammates would try to knock it out of his hands throughout the day. He became one of the most successful RBs at protecting the ball. Mattison can be 'taught' to NOT fumble.

The only number you should look at is what you do in the clutch, Charlie Garner didn't have great numbers but he was good in the clutch. We need to go back to our roots. The running back position is being disrespected plain and simple. Now if so called GM of ours wants to go with a running back by committee then draft the running back from North Dame then we have our Larry Csonka Mercury Morris and Jim Kick.

  • We are not taking a O-lineman for our 1st round draft pick guys, come on. Historically for any team in the NFL O-lineman have been busts if not just average at best. Our need is (1) QB (2) CB (3) O-lineman. And what does this draft provide, heavy in QB’s and CB’s so common sense says we go QB or CB. Next….since the top 5 QB’s coming out will be gone before our 13th position, we will grab a CB. Or we take either Phenix? or Nix for our 1st round at 13th. Don’t sleep on Nix as he is a 1st round QB no doubt. Or he slips to the early 2nd round in which we grab him there with our 44th position which is SO realistic. We should pass on Phenix? as he is just garbage and cannot throw unless the pocket is perfect. If that guy has to move even a little bit for a throw he chokes (check out all the teams scouting him saying the same thing). We pick Alabama’s CB for our 1st round and Nix at QB in the early 2nd round.
