If you don’t like Conor that’s okay but do understand that for all the push of him he’s done two points that are good for the sport. 1) he’s brought mainstream eyes to the sport, that raises all fighters pay and in this kind of sport they deserve as much money as they can possibly make. 2) he doesn’t hide from fights that he has a real chance of losing. • Obviously, every fighter is in it for the money, if every fighter in the UFC was told they're not getting paid anymore, they'd all leave. Conor got set for life against Mayweather, why would he come back for more money that he doesn't need?

  • John never gets the credit he deserves. He is an excellent coach. Always calm, always concise, always clear, direct & honest. He builds his fighters while giving them space to be themselves - very rare. I knew Conor would lose in the build up - before he would rant endlessly about his desire for glory, his visualization of his victory, etc. All he said this time was "for the love of the game". He said nothing, looked rattled at the press conference, peddled his whiskey etc. I think his goal was to become 2-division UFC champ, fight Floyd and ride off into the sunset. He achieved it, made shit-loads of money and is now bored. The drive isn't there anymore. The belief isn't there anymore. The "It's all business" at the end of R3 says it all. I remember Kavanaugh saying in the build up to Diaz 1 Conor wasn't talking to him & was barely in the gym, maybe this fight will be a wake up call for him to get his shit together again like Diaz 1 was. His personality & ego can't handle retirement. Conor has too many Yes Men and doesn't listen to John, obviously.

This has become just a tense topic of discussion, you can tell he is being really careful with his words, I agree that if Conor wants to fight Khabib again he really has to commit to it like his coach says but with that being said, I also think Conor has to earn his rematch. Have the trilogy fight with Nate, get your confidence back. You can’t have margin of error against Khabib, if Khabib gets a hold of you, it’s game over and that’s a fact. Let Khabib vs Ferguson play out, we need that fight too, it’s destiny being played right in front of us. 28-0.

  • Kavanagh spoke some sense there but let's be real, he can't honestly expect Khabib to simply shake Conor's hand after the fight, not after all that chatter he was doing. A good coach is also a mentor, I'd like to see Kavanagh step up and pull Conor in line a little bit like all good coaches do, obviously it's a bit late for that but he doesn't really seem like a leader tbh.

    • Prick. Conor was apologetic afterwards. He paid millions for that dolly and still is in the middle of it (Chiesa suing etc). What are you bloody talking about. Zubairah did that shit after a main event in the octagon live on TV and bragged about it right afterwards. He didn't show a sign of a mature professional. There is no reason for UFC to let him go on, not one. He should go back to street fighting.

    • UFC will make conor less than whiskey or the boxing thing did, which would be your focus if you already had 100+ million? Training to fight or going to meeting in your luxury vehicle to make more than training and fighting?

      @gerRule@gerRule5 жыл бұрын
    • r v it's not that the camp is disunited it's that Conor's head has swollen so big that he's left everyone behind. His camp is there....he's not. Conor thought he didn't need a camp, Conor thought he's an MMA god and that he would destroy Khabib. Why? Who knows Conor lost his marbles apparently. Since the Mayweather fight he got to into himself. Hopefully now he's sitting on the shitter in his mansion saying "fook maybe i'm not da most badass man that ever existed in history". If Conor stops being a fuckin tool and realizes he needs to humble himself and train maybe we'll see a better fight. Probably not though he's too focus'd on his bullshit whiskey that won't be shit after his last performance. People are tired of his shite attitude and to me he's just another Ronda Rousey.

They should ask for 3 rounds in the rematch, the only way to beat khabib is by a decision and conor doesn't have cardio for that kind of pace.
