Kyle Filipowski scored 17 points in the first half and finished the game with 26 points on 11-12 shooting. He also grabbed 10 rebounds. Jared McCain added 12 points and five rebounds. Zack Austin was Pitt's leading scorer with 11 points.

For multiple reasons. Yes, they need another big in there as a rim protector and rebounder. More importantly, they need someone in the wings who can push Filipowski out of that nonchalant funk that he gets into. That little voice in his head that says "You can be replaced" would be a huge asset down the road. Stewart needs a lot of work, but he could be a factor going forward into tournament play. Confidence is key.
