The billionaire tech tycoon is battling governments around the world in a bid to save free speech on his social media platform, X.
The notoriously disagreeable CEO is refusing to budge on calls to censor content from Brazil and Australia, with governments from these countries going to extreme lengths to hold Elon Musk and X to account.

@@goosecouple Actually the British foolishly obeyed their agreement obligations when their lease ran out on Hong Kong and handed it back to China. China's hollow promise of Hong Kong continuing as it had under the British was never going to stay free under Chinese CCP rule. The fault here was not holding China accountable to it's obligations because the west is weak and China knows it.

@@trevorbramich4849 you need a republic mate, democracy is just a bunch of wolves voting for whats to eat. the US founders were actually brilliant men despite their stance on slavery, they knew that democracy was sub-optimal compared to a representative republic. needless to say, our founders read "the republic" by PLATO. the average voter has an IQ of 100 which is too low to know how to properly run a society, thats why we let higher IQ representatives do the heavy lifting. the system is flawed as any system is and seemingly we have a bunch of 85 IQ's like AOC running the show, but in theory and in practice its the best system humanity has seen so far that has lead to the highest standard of living and freedom anywhere on earth, well back in the 50's before things started to go to shit. we now have a bunch of sub 100IQ 3rd worlders in government and they ofc work for their own tribal interests and they've opened the border and our country just like yours is becoming 3rd world.

As an Australian I behind Elon for free speech and it’s this government that is wrong
You probably think this way as you follow Elon's nonsense more then you follow the laws of your own country you live in. You should learn the laws of the land as you are bound by them and they are perfected over a long period of time thorough scrutiy to make the country a better place. That's why Australia is one of the best countries to live in worldwide because we have amazing laws in place.

Also, do you believe that mainstream media provides good-quality information? People should have the freedom to decide what they watch, and families should decide what their children can watch.
