  • I feel you Joey! As a 90s kid, I grew up with Take That, Backstreet Boys & NSYNC, and they all delivered as a true boyband: They sang beautifully, and their moves were SO tight! Modern day "boybands" have it easy :/

    • If you're still into pop music now, and you haven't checked out their material since the reunion, I would really recommend doing so. 2008's "The Block" is especially good in my opinion.

    • The band disbanded back in '92 or such due to band member Jon's undiagnosed health issue. They went separate ways then all came back together in 2008. So from when they all first started, that's why they are _former_ boy band. 1) they are all grown up now 2) they are not making and selling platinum records, the stardom isn't the same anymore.

  • Awe that was cute. I was 8 years old in 88. I was totally into New Kids. In high school late 90s I was in a throw back lip synch show. We learned the entire 'Step by step' dance routine and I played Jordan Knight. Mostly because I can moonwalk and we had actors planted in the crowd who would run up on stage get escorted away by security & faint, stuff like that. I also would run through the audience and sing right up to mostly guys who looked really uncomfortable, it was hilarious and fun.

Joe and Jon remind me of some of the best things about my childhood. Not sure what that says about my childhood. Those two got me through some tough things. I'll always have a place in my heart for them. I wish them well. Much love, Joe and Jon. I love you guys so much. 💞

  • He's right, US most boy bands don't sing & dance, and in a couple of instances, they're not even singing. ..... that's probably partly why kpop is succeeding so much because they sing, dance, interact with fans on many levels (especially domestically). That and the Internet.

    • How about "these people" ain't hopping on that bandwagon. Plus, as much as I love kpop, most kpop bands were record label trainees at some point. Groups like NKOTB & BSB had to work for their audiences, that was their training. I think that's what he means by real boy bands and he's right.

  • This stuff was horrible. I was around 10 when this came out..i hated it.... Dre, Nirvana, Pearl jam...etc ..that was music.. Gun Roses ///November Rain///etc... real music. These guys were annoying.
