HANOI TRAIN STREET: Vietnam's MOST DANGEROUS Street 😲
Hanoi's Train Street is Vietnam's most dangerous and surprisingly most famous street. In October 2019, visiting it as a tourist was presumably banned, because of the previous problems the railway operators had. What caused the final ban was when the train had to make an emergency stop to avoid hitting tourists. As far as we know, no accident happened so far due to the tourists coming there.
As of start of 2021, during a world pandemic, the street is open for business, but one wonders if this will be the case once the country reopens.
Seeing videos of how it looked like with hordes of tourists makes it clear, why such actions were taken. Hopefully they find a way to make it work.

I love how cute that whole train street is with all the plants and everything crowded into that narrow space. You got both a shot from the bottom and top balconies, which is great (I didn't even know about the top until a recent video). Someone mentioned the shop owner telling them to put their phone on the track to capture a different view of the train and it was cool. I hope no fools get killed and ruin the experience for everyone else as it is quite a unique thing to see for yourself.
Oh yeah, it's a fun place to visit for sure! Let's hope the fools won't visit it too often 😂
You look so intense! That experience is incredible, it's not a must try but seeing and experiencing that widens our perspective.
It's definitely cool seeing stuff like this in person as you get to see it from the perspective of locals living in streets like those. Quite an interesting thing.
brilliant city planner
" He's so big " OK, I'll take your word for it
I remember the day when this street was not popular. Now cafe everywhere
You're right, it got famous really fast. ⏩
Whoa I found your blog and then separately found your video! 😆 I love your content and energy! Keep it up!!
Yay! That's awesome! Thank you, thank you, thank you. ♥♥
Amazing !!!
Outstanding From The Moment It Started To The Moment It Ended. Had No Idea It Was So Tight On BOTH Sides. Must See For Me
Thank you Drew! 😊 Yeah it surprised us as well, so we kind of get it why it can be quite dangerous if you're not careful. Definitely check it out! 😎
Too bad, as of September 2022, it's closed to the public. So sad...
Yeah, we were there in October and it’s true! 😩
It's open again! But they do stop you (rudely so ) from entering after 4pm. Not dangerous if you're not stupid!
I have just been there at September 2023. It was closed to the public as well.
@@jiandongzhuang5636 Actually, when we were there in December of last year, some owners of cafes led us to sit down in their cafes facing the track. So, we did see the train pass by right in front of us, while we drank their egg coffee. So, maybe it depends on what time of the day you visited, and whether or not the cafes are open.
Love it 😍
Thank you so much! ♥ Have you visited this spot already?
@@ShippedAway Yes I did😁
Ovo izgleda jako uzbufljivo 😍😍😍
Odlično iskustvo! Definitivno vrijedi posjetiti. :D
Ooo kaka blizu ide pored !! 😄🤗
Haha, da. Nismo očekivali da bude toliko blizu. :D
It's fkn scary even through the screen. Now I want to go there and make a video too 😀
You should!
Dear , I am writing to inquire about your permission to use your video clip. This is , the Korean TV show which is broadcasted on JTBC (Korean TV channel). With your permission, I'd like to use your video to introduce HANOI TRAIN STREET. It will be broadcasted at 9PM on 7 August 2023. Thank you for your kind attention and look forward to hearing from you.
I got a news today. Until 17 sept 2022 all the coffee shop there have to be closed. Government want to remove this from tourist attraction as they think it is very dangerous. Ot mean luck if you are a tourist that visited. They also will not allow more tourist to circulate there.
Yeah we got the news as well and it was unfortunately long time coming :/ We will be visiting Hanoi soon and check it out again ourselves. Maybe they find a way to keep it open. 🙏
I want to visit this country plz reopen visa vietnam
We wish we would be the ones to decide on that 😂. If so, we'd go back to Vietnam in a heartbeat. 😆
I wonder, how many time each a train passes?
Hey! It goes a few times during the weekdays, mostly in the afternoon/evening, and on the weekends it’s also not that often, but it’s spread throughout the day. 👍 We also wrote a bit more about the street in our blog, so you can check it out. Link is in the description. 😀
@@ShippedAway well done!
@@linhjoy Thank you! 😍
❤ i would live there
ขอเชิญมาเที่ยวไทยบ้านผมด้วย ยินดีต้อนรับ fromthailand
We just came to Thailand two weeks ago! Woohooo ❤️ Any recommendations?
My aunt owns a hair salon on it
That's such a cool place for a hair salon! Need to go there for a haircut next time we're in Hanoi 😁
@@ShippedAway yeah I actually didn’t know this was a tourist spot until I saw your video. My moms side lives on the track so I’ve been there a couple times. Also, really cool, our kitchen was across the tracks.
Dangerous? Sorry, but this is one of the most touristy things you can find here in town, still nice and of course worth a visit. Dangerous? No way!
Just because something is touristy doesn't mean it's not dangerous. 😊 Honestly, we can't imagine this place crowded with people all trying to take a shot and not respecting the rules about the line where you're allowed to stand at. No wonder they tried to close it as there have been a few incidents already. Luckily, nothing serious as far as we know. So, it's a question if this place will still be open to the public and under which conditions.
What time do you recommend going, to experience and get a few good pictures 🙂
Must be the greedy coffee owners who demand the close if the street...
But the coffee shop owners want the train street to remain open, because that means a constant flow of tourists to their business. 🤷♂️
If you want more followers. Try to go in the Philippines. It's more fun in the Philippines. A lot things to do in the Philippines.
Oh yeah, it's on our list in the near future. Can't wait. 🎉
The trouble is, Philippines can't even organise a bus timetable at a terminal!. There is tourism but nothing much old outside of Rizal Manila! The exception being Vigan city. Philippines either doesn't want foreign tourists or the money allocated to promote tourism gets filtered elsewhere! Not more fun there at all.! The people are more friendly than Vietnam!
visit home along the riles squater😂
Anyone ever crushed by the train?!
So far, nobody!
