It helps that his human is so attentive and compassionate. Animals need comfort and reassurance just like we do. My cat rarely ever needs a bath. Once in a while she has to have one if it's absolutely necessary (in case fleas have infiltrated the house, or if she has gotten herself into a mess). She used to hate her bath, but I made it sound like a fun activity. I started saying things like, "Are you my little swimming cat?" in a cute fun voice and praised her for being such an adorable sweet water loving cat. She liked hearing that I appreciated her. Now she is super calm at bath times, even if they still aren't her most favorite activity.

@@janelantestaverde2018 I think that underestimates a bit. Cats are driven by memories of pleasant and unpleasant experiences. I would not be surprised if the cat remembers “where going” from prior trips and so is repeating it. In that case, the cat literally understand what “we’re going” means. The words could be connected to the cats experience it remembers, if even the cat doesn’t understand it in a linguistic sense.

It's amazing how well some cats can say "No" quite emphatically when they really don't want to do something. I had a cat who did that. I know it's not speaking like humans, but cats can be good mimics & some quickly learn that "No" can be used to express displeasure. I love that the woman is so gentle to her cat, as I am when my own cat is stressed or upset or scared. ❤️

My cat Baby talks to me also. He says "Mom". Once in a while "Mama". When I ask what does he want to eat he has said "I don know". I talk to my animals so I'm not surprised when we actually have conversations like this woman and her precious cat. You can tell how close they are by the way he's asking her for constant reassurance.

My grandma always had cats, that would say least say, "I love you". The only color of cat she would get was the orange ones. She said they were the easiest to teach. I remember being excited to show any of my friends how her cats talked. If there is a heaven, hopefully she has at least one of her orange friends with her.

@@resveries_ Is your grandma's cat old or sick? A healthy cat should not pant while playing (as far as I know). This could be a sign of heart issues. I keep a close eye on signs like that with my cat because her breed is known to be prone to developing heart issues and panting during running/playing is one of the warning signals.

Everybody who's ever lived with cats and dogs recognizes that most of them converse in their own way with people. No, it's not a reasoned conversation but usually more emotional. I've even met strange cats and ended up having long conversations with them. Mother cats taking a break from their litter especially like to have somebody to complain to. I love kittens but I understand their need.

@@bekanimal it's just very challenging on some days, physically and mentally, but it IS very gratifying. I have been doing it for 20 years. I would say if the field paid more I would much happier but it can be tough work for minimum pay, but I can't say I would actually want to do anything else. The difference you can make on a daily basis in the lives of both pets and people is rewarding, and most pets are amazing souls that I'm happy to make things easier for, the vet can be a scary place for the pets!

UsandEveryoneWeKnow I had a dog who would get motion sickness, only in the backseat of cars not the rv or back of a truck tho. Guess who was vomited on so much as a kid that we had to have at least 3 towels in the back seat area for quick puke landing and clean up? Even just a quick 5 minute ride to the vet was too much for her. A 10 minute ride to the beach was a guessing game cause the closer we got to the smell of the beach the better she felt.

In a certain way, one already is. Go check out BilliSpeaks. That cat uses buttons designed for non-verbal humans to "talk" to her owner. Initially you may be sceptical, but the more you watch the more you realize it's not coincidence (the videos are usually only 1-2mins long; her owner has a 24 hr camera up aimed at the buttons and just sporadically uploads funny conversations). My favourite is when Billi complains about Mom's new Hamilton CD.... Won't spoil the rest, but I actually chuckled out loud. If you can't find the channel, lmk and I'll link it. Also: I think my first response was auto-deleted because I mentioned various human reasons for the buttons, and au+ism is probably a filtered word. Yea seems like a very smart and sensitive little friend. He’s asking if he’s going to the vet and realizing it’s true. And remembering getting shots and other bad things. Even though it’s a high stress situation and it’s not easy, of course you can’t really spare him from a yearly visit. But in other situations where it’s not a necessity, the panting is definitely a sign to stop it. I remember getting really scared before the doctor too! Hope he gets a special treat after ❤️

Poor baby is stressed. But he's pretty tame, being able to just sit freely.
It helps that his human is so attentive and compassionate. Animals need comfort and reassurance just like we do. My cat rarely ever needs a bath. Once in a while she has to have one if it's absolutely necessary (in case fleas have infiltrated the house, or if she has gotten herself into a mess). She used to hate her bath, but I made it sound like a fun activity. I started saying things like, "Are you my little swimming cat?" in a cute fun voice and praised her for being such an adorable sweet water loving cat. She liked hearing that I appreciated her. Now she is super calm at bath times, even if they still aren't her most favorite activity.

I would not be surprised if the cat remembers “where going” from prior trips and so is repeating it. In that case, the cat literally understand what “we’re going” means. The words could be connected to the cats experience it remembers, if even the cat doesn’t understand it in a linguistic sense.

It's amazing how well some cats can say "No" quite emphatically when they really don't want to do something. I had a cat who did that. I know it's not speaking like humans, but cats can be good mimics & some quickly learn that "No" can be used to express displeasure. I love that the woman is so gentle to her cat, as I am when my own cat is stressed or upset or scared. ❤️

My grandma always had cats, that would say least say, "I love you". The only color of cat she would get was the orange ones. She said they were the easiest to teach. I remember being excited to show any of my friends how her cats talked. If there is a heaven, hopefully she has at least one of her orange friends with her.

@@resveries_ Is your grandma's cat old or sick? A healthy cat should not pant while playing (as far as I know). This could be a sign of heart issues. I keep a close eye on signs like that with my cat because her breed is known to be prone to developing heart issues and panting during running/playing is one of the warning signals.

Two syllables for me, and one for him (like our names) I even watched her panic as she thought we both left again when we were bringing in groceries one day. It broke my heart.

Everybody who's ever lived with cats and dogs recognizes that most of them converse in their own way with people. No, it's not a reasoned conversation but usually more emotional. I've even met strange cats and ended up having long conversations with them. Mother cats taking a break from their litter especially like to have somebody to complain to. I love kittens but I understand their need.

I only lasted a year. It’s not for the faint of heart and if you love animals too much it really takes the life out of you.
@@bekanimal it's just very challenging on some days, physically and mentally, but it IS very gratifying. I have been doing it for 20 years. I would say if the field paid more I would much happier but it can be tough work for minimum pay, but I can't say I would actually want to do anything else. The difference you can make on a daily basis in the lives of both pets and people is rewarding, and most pets are amazing souls that I'm happy to make things easier for, the vet can be a scary place for the pets!

UsandEveryoneWeKnow I had a dog who would get motion sickness, only in the backseat of cars not the rv or back of a truck tho. Guess who was vomited on so much as a kid that we had to have at least 3 towels in the back seat area for quick puke landing and clean up? Even just a quick 5 minute ride to the vet was too much for her. A 10 minute ride to the beach was a guessing game cause the closer we got to the smell of the beach the better she felt.

Yea seems like a very smart and sensitive little friend. He’s asking if he’s going to the vet and realizing it’s true. And remembering getting shots and other bad things. Even though it’s a high stress situation and it’s not easy, of course you can’t really spare him from a yearly visit. But in other situations where it’s not a necessity, the panting is definitely a sign to stop it. I remember getting really scared before the doctor too! Hope he gets a special treat after ❤️
