Carl Frampton's involvement with Daniel Kinahan's MTK boxing
Carl Frampton has defended his involvement with MTK boxing promotions, the company founded by Daniel Kinahan.
The boxer says he has no regrets and enjoyed a life changing pay day after signing up in 2017.
But is Frampton being tone deaf when it comes to Kinahan and the dirty funds washed through boxing? Should he recognise that he was inadvertently in bed with the bad guys or is he right to brazen it out as he has?
Nicola speaks with Niall Donald about the Late Late Show interview, Frampton’s snubs to the ‘gutter press’ and his unpleasant show of bitterness to his former manager Barry McGuigan.

Cognitive disonence is just very powerful. Carl seems a good lad. Shielded his family from sectarianism etc. Ultimately, money talks, and people will try to justify decisions to help their conscious. MTK was blood money, period.

Carl Frampton is a credit to boxing, he has not committed any crimes, i think our Nicola is missing the fact, that Carl won his court case against Barry, who as a reputation for ripping off his fighter's, but i guess that doesn't matter, who does this woman think she is, making out carl is stupid, Carl as made more money than she will ever have, he is one of the most intelligent and respected boxing pundits in the world, and he as just set up his own Irish whiskey line, and may i say, every penny is legitimate

Carl Frampton has never been involved in any form of criminality nor has he ever condoned any form of criminality. This podcast was just a lot of hot air and in my opinion a waste of time. Nicola should have spent those 25 minutes more productively in repairing her puncture.

What money is actually clean when it comes to Al Haymon because he's the most Blatant criminal in the sport. MTK managed him and made sure he received the best possible deal unlike his last management team. A fighter has to maximise his earnings end of. Kinahan wasnt and isn't convicted yet. Guilty as hell but innocent untill proven so in a court of law. Nothing wrong was done by any boxer who signed with MTK. Boxing was corrupted long before Daniel was born. It's a criminals game

Why would frampton if hes as squeaky clean as they say he is jump ship and join with these scummy people......simple answer MONEY so he sold out plain and simple turned his back on the people who raised him and gave him his career
That's not fair. The McGuigans blatantly did Frampton out of money, after the split he likely had no idea what to do with his career because he'd never been with anyone else. MTK offered him a management contract that was very reassuring, and on a day-to-day basis he dealt with a company employee and Frank Warren. Kinahan's legal problems aren't his problem or moral questions to answer.
Might not be fair but its the truth hes not some teenager who knew damn well who he was getting involved with....
