I have the odd feeling that this is Lindybeige's only suit, normally reserved for weddings and funerals.
Odd? Not really. It is my only business suit. I was bought it when I was fifteen or sixteen, and I can still get into it. Most of the times it has been worn were in performances as a costume of some sort.
@@lindybeige Impressive. While I've not managed to remain the same shape (insert excuses here, but it's because I'm lazy), it's probably only in the last few years that my 74 year old dad has lost the ability to fit into his no. 2 and no. 1 dress uniforms, which are at least 45 years old.
@@lindybeige Surpised seeing you in a tie, considering your disdain for them
@@Obi-WanKannabis It's a clip-on
That's an old tradition in the less wealthy areas of the United States, but it's somewhat dying out. Back in the day, a young man would buy a suit for his wedding. He would then, as you said, wear it for weddings and funerals, and would eventually be buried in it. If the young man got fat enough he couldn't wear it, that meant he was doing well enough he could afford a new suit.
Lloyd in a suit was certainly not in my bingo card.
he looks like a doorstep TV licence goon
*beigengo card. ... Sorry.
Forget the suit! He combed his hair !!!!! Thogether he's almost unrecgonisable.
It was on my card as the free space...
and not a speck of beige on him, just feels... wrong
I'm so glad Lindy hasn't ever changed the outro sequence for his videos. It fills me with nostalgia about all the times I watched his stuff over the years.
If my kids hear the song in background they yell "Lindybeige!" at the appropriate time, without fail. I am not sure they even realize they are doing it.
Same... My older bro would fall asleep and then get woken by the outro or intro lol
This satire is of such quality that I'm half laughing - half taking notes, buying stocks and pinning this video on my "watch recurrently" playlist 👀
Lindy with his hair combed is truly strange it's hypnotic
Like it's his evil twin or something.
I'll agree with "strange".
Not a look I would recommend for him. Either go back to wild or shave it.
He also hypnotised everyone into giving him money for a graphic novel which has never been released. Oh wait, that's also called stealing.
Like some sort of brown tat review couch person
Comparing NFTs to Emperors new clothes is fairly spot on.
Yeah pretty much while I think there is a use case for NFTs art is not really where it could shine.
Lgbt and gender ideology would be so much more fitting.
I believe the yacht has sailed on that one, a long time ago already so it won't happen again
@@FindecanorNotGmail depends if it get hyped up again. the bull run of 2024 and 2025 has just started so who knows :) if I owned one I would hold it until 2025 or so before selling it.
@@PatPatych Explain?
I think the tomato thing has already happened. A fair number of people here in the U.S. were freaking out about the "dangers" of nightshades last year. Potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant (aubergine). My mother was in on it for a while before I managed to get her back to her senses.
it certainly has, my dad was trying to tell me that i shouldn't eat tomatoes because i have arthritis and therefore they're bad for me. i did some googling and showed him an article that said otherwise, and he shut up about it. c'mon people, we've been eating this stuff for ages. everything in moderation, that's all. don't eat a ton of salt, don't eat a ton of sugar, have these things in reasonable amounts and you'll be fine.
It's just a load of bullshit from the pro meat people.
Lindybeige in a suit is the best arguement for the sweater he has been wearing for the past 15 years.
I would have deemed these predictions completely insane and nonsensical but since the end of 2015 insanity is the norm.
Honk honk 🤡
I'm pretty sure the last normal year was 2013.
Oh yeah sure, the early 2010's... the middle of the War on Terror when the US were mass murdering civilians by the tens of thousands themselves, those were normal years... smh.
@@JamesBond-xx1lv last normal year was 1999, it's been nothing but one shitshow after another since then
The last normal year is the year before whenever you realized the world is insane and always has been
Surely "Beige will become colour of the year" should be in there.
Of course! I feel such a fool.
Was it not ?
I could play this to my grandma and she would 100% believe this was her TV
Lindybeige has a surprisingly suitable voice for an news anchorman. I could definitely imagine him giving me the weather report when I wake up in the morning and turn on the TV.
That thing about the latest food to be declared "very bad for you" is spot on.
They are red. Red for danger.
Except that it is already known that tomatoes are bad for you and nobody cares. That's not a prediction.
I like them but they upset my stomach, so it must be true.
...A new study came out stating that people with inflammatory diseases should refrain from consuming Tomatoes... it is already happening!
I don't know; I think it might be tom-ay-toes declared bad instead.
Predictions: Lindybeige will have more Jedi wisdom in 2024.
I’m sorry, I couldn’t hear you, say again?
I expect at least one of these to end up being completely accurate. And another couple to be close enough to seem embarrassingly prophetic.
The one about the US elections is probably spot on.
Depressing as that thought is, I'd have to agree.
At the current rate we get affordable Star Trek replicators before printers become reasonable in any way. We already passed the mark where 3d printers are easier and cheaper to maintain then inkjets. Hm, I think I could use a resin printer to just make stamps for everything I want to print. that might actually be cheaper. huh. Why didn't I think of that earlier?
I predict we will finally get a long anticipated medieval knight battle between Lindy & Metatron
Can we have it be Knight v Samurai as well?
But only if they are strictly forbidden to unscrew their swords' pommel.
Also did Lindy, with his his map of Romania, predict Moldova and Romania will finally reunite?
a lil bit of Ukraine is also claimed, lol.
And expand even more into Serbia and Hungary
One for the locals, there. Yes, this was 'Greater Romania'.
And they stole Vidin from Bulgaria... Not a big loss, mind you, but a dick move nonetheless.

Looking forward to Ink Day! Affordable printer ink is certainly something to celebrate.
2024's Bingo card got some style to it this year. Thanks Lindy for a great entertaining video.
I just want to point out the absolute monstrosity of a world map in the background!
It is a prediction of what the world WILL look like after a bit more continental drift.
@@lindybeigeall to happen in 2024 as well, Climargeddon
@@lindybeigewhere's my comic book? No predictions on that.
@@lindybeige Ah, an excellent map in that case! Although, not to discredit your amazing prediction skills, but I do somewhat doubt a millennia of continental drift to occur within a year. Though it would be rather exciting to be proven wrong!
Never would have predicted that hair for 2024.
Lindy is truly a national treasure. The only video to give me a laugh on a bleak day Thank you 😂
A lot of these predictions seem actually quite feesable. I think that at least one of them will definitely be close enough to coming true that we will say it did, and i suspect that's part of why you made this video, to call out quak magicians and futurists by saying that a lot of things that have happened for a long time will continue to happen. Good work lindybeige, let's see how this experiment goes. I been with you since 100k subs, i'll be with you till the end brother!
I feel like a malkavian watching the news. So just another day in paradise
Yeah it sounds like Gehenna is near.
@Morfeusm the final nights are upon us brother, stay safe and goodnight
Prediction: LindyBeige uploads a video which mentions such a broad range of polarising topics, that he polarises his entire audience, farming engagement from people rabidly commenting and arguing to kick start his channel in the KZhead algorithm ready for the year ahead!
I disagree, but not in any way which should be construed as validating your prediction 🙂
@@utubebgay Oh no you don’t!
Can see all these happening tbh, those are the most grounded predictions about the future I've ever heard.
Lindy, that "Big Brother Death" was the plot of a book written by Ben Elton in 2001 called Dead Famous. Well worth a read. (even if I've sort of given the ending away)
That map of Romania brings a tear to my eye. I always knew you would be an ally.
The South Korea thing, can you be more specific on the date I want to book cheap air tickets .
We need that in Germany as well - can we do that as an international friendship thingy with South Korea?? :D
More fun less war . International relation parties it's a win ! @@gruffelo6945
I wonder what effect the South Kororgy will have on local tourism, and whether it's related to the sudden uptick in underwater carpentry I've been hearing so much about.

Popular KZheadr Lindybeige will release thirteen videos on his channel. Eleven of which were recorded in 2023 and 2022
Only eleven?
joined for the hand cradle lessons, stayed for the yacht monkey
This was simultaneously hilarious, insightful, probably mostly correct, and a more accurate news report than most national or local news stations. Yes, those ones, in that country. Also, as we head into a new year, soon to be 16 full years since this channel was established, I will like to acknowledge your continued efforts. I nowhere near British enough for an appropriately passive-aggressive insult, so I'll just thank you for all the years, and hope we've many more to look forward to. May that little Lego man march on.
It makes me very happy to see lots of Beige uploads in my notifications recently. Good work sir
Although the quality has somewhat slipped. Some of the uploads have drifted more towards taupe or griege, rather than true beige.
i like how territory of Romania at 7:00 is so big - it included parts of Ukraine and Moldova
Emperor Tigestar will be slightly annoyed when he sees that.
In line with the weird world map in the background.
I noticed he was careful not to include Transnistria, the Sherif has long arms.
😉
You silly people, so behind the times of the long and rich history of Greater Romania😂
Thank you Mr. Beige, it is mucho appreciated! We will look upon your predictions with great interest!
Absolute Gold Lindybeige, thank you for this masterpiece. It has the same sort of feel as particularly insightful satire, in that it reflects reality in such a chillingly realistic way that one has to take a moment to figure out whether it actually happened, or is just some rather poignant political commentary.

Holy crap, Lindy is wearing a tie!
My Prediction: Still no Hanniball Comic! Damn you!
I don't know, I think now that it seems to be out of Mr Lloyd's hands it can finally progress on a regular schedule. The artist doesn't seem to be the one to blame, he's dependable, from what I gather. Maybe 2024 is THE year?
@@Gerle71 It will never happen, everybody got scammed. The end.
Lindy? In a dangly tie? Am I seeing things?
I never imagined to see the day I'll downvote a Lindybeige video... a steep drop and a far cry from good old days (years)!
Predicting that the comic book won't be ready.
I came here to laugh but I think I agree with almost everything unironically
3:33 - A friend of mine works at the ASOS warehouse in the Dearne area, where a member of staff died in November, as reported in the Sheffield Star ("ASOS Barnsley: Fashion retail giant confirms tragic death of worker on shift at South Yorkshire warehouse", 16th Nov 2023). She was told to keep working around the poor bloke's dead body. Given the number of cameras in that place because the managers are for some reason terrified someone will steal their cheap tat, that's practically Lindy's scenario.
1:46 hmm, I was planning to save for a holiday next year but that sounds like a much better idea. Thanks Lindybeige!
Great video! I predict; we will go on the wrong way, like before and before that and before that and even before that. We're going to repeat the same mistakes ad always. :)
In my case of having a hystamin intollerancy tomatoes are actually somewhat bad for me :D
This is hilarious and probably mostly accurate but Lichtenstein would be the last place to create price controls, seeing as how it's famous for its Libertarian government
And stamps, and false teeth.
And stamps and false teeth, oh drats, he got there first.
WHAT?? A sovreign nation with a Libertarian government? Such a place can't exist! Googling their immigration policy right now.

This was quite good. I look forward to your review of your predictions at the end of the year.
Sadly ink prices won't drop. This is because most printers shut themselves down if you try to use a different brand ink cartridge. This is one part of the war against right-to-repair.
DUDE THIS WAS PERFECT! When are we gonna crowdfund a major production for you???!
How about Monty Python: The Next Generation, with Lloyd as the John Cleese archetype? I'd chip in heavily on that!

So many good gags. I have to say the art/painting one is best! There's nothing like truth to achieve peak sarcasm 😅😅😅😅

Dude, heck yea Ink Day! I haven't been able to print anything since 2010! It will probably only take about 3 more years for me to actually need to print anything but when that day comes oh boy will I be excited! Cheers!
My (hopeful) prediction, lets call it a wish, or great desire, is that a book arrives in the post by Christmas.
Ah yes, just as we back in 2016 were led to believe it would by Christmas 2017! 😂 I've dutifully updated my address with them every time I've moved. I'm very much looking forward to reading it when it finally shows up, and I believe you might be right. Hopefully 2024 is the year!
No need for me to keep track of the news this year. Thanks Lindy.
Look at the production value!!! I predict 2024 will see a feature length blockbuster movie starring Lindybeige! A Musical set during some sort of War.
The printer ink thing already happened! But due to regular market forces-- and in the USA. I have one (Canon PIXMA G3000); they're pretty neat! You just buy bottles of ink and dump it right in. Lasts me years.
This is both hilarious, and just close enough to be terrifying. It will certainly be interesting to see which of them (if any) come true.
This is the age of horrormirth.
We have two humor/satire sites in the United States called the "Babylon Bee" and "The Onion." Both have lists of their totally ridiculous (at the time) satirical posts that have come to pass.
I don't know how long it will take, and seeing it in 2024 would mildly surprise me. But I wouldn't doubt that one about Putin is spot on in terms of how it plays out.
I have the Lindy Card ready.
Thank you for the vidja Lindy. I am going to pretend to be shocked, SHOCKED I TELLS YA when something or other happens at some time leading to TOTAL pandemonium. Only to pass and be declared unremarkable in record time. Peaceful Skies.
I predict that inquiry will continue regarding the Hannibal book.
I miss the days when the news was this civilised.
Back in the dim mists of history, the reporters would just report who, what, when, where, why and how, and you were supposed to make up your own mind. Editorial opinions were segegrated to their own separate programs.
I actually remember the thing about women’s dresses with pockets in them happening in the past!! It’s so ridiculous! I now make All my dresses, or have them made for me.
My daughter still gets irrationally angry about Women's jeans with front pockets that are only a couple inches deep.
@@ostlandr This is not irrational. How would you like to have those on all of your clothing? Which sexist designer decided that women should not be allowed to have useful pockets??
@@SalyLuz-hc6he Mostly joking there, and my Lady Wife and daughter totally agree with you. It was fine before she had curves, as boys' jeans fit her better and had long enough legs. Now, she needs women's jeans. Funny story- my cousin, the high jumper and pole vaulter on our track team back in the day, had to wear women's jeans. Guys' jeans that fit his thighs and butt fell off.
@@SalyLuz-hc6he You know who decided that? The women buying the clothes... Often when pockets are added, women don't buy it... So no, it is not a "sexist designer", it is just not really profitable to put in useful pockets... So complain about the women...

Very enjoyable, Lindatron! 👍
Lindy, I have been embarrassed to be British, nay English even for a long time. Very few thing restore this prode these days. Some examples of things that do are reading Wind in the Willows or Three men in a Boat, walking on our national parks and your good self! Keep on being you, Sir! Thanks!
I feel compelled to write down this statement as I don't want Lloyd to be mislead by misunderstanding. This is not about this specific video. I actually found it humorous albeit rather concerned that the housing prices might go up in Basarabia after this video :) You're a great content creator, please continue doing what you love; but I simply came for the kind of content you , after a long time, seem to have stopped making. Gone are the days of speculating the usefulness of war horses or fire arrows, or what ottoman slaps were. I wholeheartedly respect your decision and hope that you are doing what you love and continue doing what you love. I however, will be taking my hat off, bowing out and leaving.
I strongly suspect that after all these years of discussing war, when his friends go to a real war (Ukraine), it all became too real and not something he really wanted to keep talking about. I completely understand that if correct, and am excited to see where his brain takes him over the next year or so as he branches into whatever takes his fancy. We have no idea what to expect next, and that makes it an interesting channel to watch. Whatever he does will have the level of insight that he's always had.

Tomatoes have already been both, before gluten. I had my honeymoon in Timișoara, lovely place, where Ceaușescu made his speech. After my visit a few years prior, a bunch of English themed restaurants opened. My friend and translator was also a yelp reviewer, i'm not sure if they are related. I did feel like the first tourist ever the first time.
If I recall correctly, the reason tomatoes were considered a poison was because they acid in their juice would interact with the (common at the time) pewter tablewear, resulting in the lead from the (normally safe) pewter being ingested, resulting in lead poisoning. If there have been more recent claims regarding tomatoes being unhealthy, I've somehow not encountered them.

On the topic of tomatoes, I kept getting ninety minute ads about a year ago that led with this particular declaration. It was stated by a man with white hair and beard, thick framed glasses, and a white labcoat who claimed to be a heart surgeon, so it must be true.
Don't believe that guy, on the internet anyone can claim to be anything. You can trust me, I'm actually a doctor, as well as a lawyer, which was a breeze really after my time as a Navy SEAL. And not many of my fellow astronauts will give you free advice like this!

If fighting over the center would lead to new policies, we should be living in Star Trek by now.
I have never yet met a Trek fan who could give a coherent explanation of how the Federation's economy works. If there's no money, then the Government must allocate goods and resources according to some kind of rationing. And the iron rule is, the more economic decisions are made by the Government rather than the market, the worse the economy performs. The Federation wouldn't be able to build a steam locomotive, let alone a Galaxy class starship.
@@ostlandr Define in what metric you are looking at in an economy's performance. Finland and Iceland are not Russia or China, but they aren't the U.S either.
@@h.l.malazan5782 Basically, how well supplied the people are with goods and resources, especially food. India is a mixed economy. With rather tight economic controls, their ecomomy just sort of limped along from 1947 until 1991. Then they moved toward a more free (but not uber-capitalist) economy, and BOOM! The private sector took off, and they're a much more prosperous country today. In contrast, Venezuela was once the economic tiger of Central America. Huge (but low quality) oil reserves, iron, bauxite, gold, diamonds, rich soil, year-round growing season, fishing. When the Chavistas took power in 1999, the people were promised a mixed economy- "Capitalism with a heart." What they got was hard-line Marxism. Cue shortages of basic goods and services. Farmers can't stay in business under the price controls, and the State run oil company can't supply enough diesel for the tractors and trucks, so the people are starving. China's system is wierd- State-owned, for-profit companies that are allowed to reinvest those profits into the businesses. Seems to work, though.
@@ostlandr Yes, having to bend the knee to a Populist party line, especially in an ethnocentric social climate, appeals to a lot of Trump supporters. That is why you ended up with a Joe Biden in the first place. The 2020 election had the largest voter turnout in a decade and it was driven by social issues, and despite COVID, Ukraine, and the inflation, all Trump got is a six point lead. Nobody is budging. It looks like this next presidential election would be driven by the same issues.
@@ostlandr The combination of dilithium-fueled warp engines and perfect energy-to-matter replicators basically make economics obsolete - why bother thinking about distribution of wants and needs when anyone can magic anything up out of thin air?
