Discover the SECRET ENTRANCE TO THE LOUVRE Museum in Paris & four other ways to enter the museum!
If you're planning a trip to Paris and want to see the famous Louvre Museum, then be sure to watch this video! We'll show you the secret entrance to the Louvre Museum and four other ways to get inside the museum! We will help you save tons of time trying to find the proper entrance for your visit to the Louvre. Did you know there are multiple lines to choose from outside the Pyramid - several for timed tickets purchased online and a completely different line for those that haven't purchased tickets yet (which we do not recommend!) There's also only 2 entrances that work well for those needing handicap access. There's only 1 entrance for those with group/tour tickets. And there's an entrance that's easy to access from the metro which is the perfect entrance for bad weather!

I’ve watched several Lourve KZheads in preparation for our upcoming trip and this was, by far, the most helpful. Thank you! Fingers crossed there are no strikes in May! 😳
Glad it was helpful! That makes us very happy!
This is such a great and informative video, thank you so much!!
Thank you so much for the comment and thanks for watching!
This was incredibly helpful! Planning our first trip to Paris with limited time and have been quite nervous about figuring out where to go not wasting any time. Thank you!!
You’re so welcome and thanks for watching!
Thank you that must have been a lot of work. We’re going tomorrow, wish us luck!
Bon courage! Thanks for watching!
Guys I really would like to say thanks, I'll be visiting the Louvre in June and your video was exactly what I was looking for! So helpful and well explained! What I can see from your video is that the "official" entrance and ticket check is done downstairs, correct? I already bought my ticket so I'm planning to use the Carrousel entrance to avoid the Pyramid as I'm limited in time! In normal conditions, how much time before my scheduled entrance (9 am) should I arrive? I really hope you can help me out and thanks a lot again!
So glad this was helpful! In normal conditions and no rain then maybe 30 minutes? Hope it goes smooth for you! Thanks for watching!!!
This is such a great video~ thanks! You didn't mention the Porte des Lions- could you please comment on it? I've read that it is quieter, that you need to already have a ticket to use it, and that it isn't always open/available. I like the 'quieter' part!
Hi there! That entrance is no longer in use. Porte de Richelieu can now be used for single and group tickets. Thanks for watching!!
@heathermaciak951 I stand corrected! It apparently is back in use: www.louvre.fr/en/visit/map-entrances-directions
@@LamourdeParisPhotographers Thanks so much for the update~ it's back on my list!!!
Thank you for the detail information , I’m taking my 73 yo mom to Paris, this will help us get in du Louvre easier 😊
Glad it was helpful!
Great info!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you.
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
We have purchased tickets online for a Friday evening slot. Would you still recommend entering through the “secret entrance”?
Good question! It depends mainly on weather. If it’s bad weather than certainly go underground. If it’s nice weather then above ground should be just fine. You can always check out the ground level line for your time slot and if it seems long then head underground. Thanks for watching!!!
@@LamourdeParisPhotographers thank you.
Tahnks for sharing line and access information. Got a couple of questions 1. Do you know that if I have the paris museum pass (obviously I must book an online reservation even If i have the pass) can I enter by the carrousel entrance? 2. If not, is there any is a specific waiting line for paris museum pass holders at the main entrance?
Thanks for your question. This is what I found on the Paris museum pass website: To book a time slot: log on to ticketlouvre.fr, select "Visitors with a Paris Museum Pass", choose the day and time of your visit, and indicate your name and your PMP number. You can then download a QR code that will get you through the first checkpoint at the entrance to the Pyramide du Louvre (the only way to get in). You will then need to show your PMP at the various checkpoints in the museum, located under the Pyramid. Thanks for watching!
@@LamourdeParisPhotographers Thank you very much!
Do you do private tours?
Bonjour! Private tours of the louvre or Paris?
Must we buy a ticket before use this entrance ??? Or might to buy ticket for go inside at that place, at that time ???
It’s highly recommended to buy a ticket in advance but there is one line we pointed out to buy tickets onsite.
Right thru the tunnel? Where is the tunnel?
Sorry that should’ve been referred to as the covered archway or something. It’s the part she enters after crossing the street. Thanks for watching!

This could have been done in 10 minutes. Why stretch this out to 24 minutes??
Good question. So many people thank us for the amount of detail we provide in our videos but admittedly we are trying to strike a balance. And since the videos can be sped up it gives those the option with less time to watch it more quickly. Thanks for watching!
Why can’t you just be nice and say thank you.
