the entire thing is so in character for venti. just trolls chefs by making a tomato soup with boiled potatoes and carrots, and then tastefully plates it in a painfully meticulous manner. compared to zhongli, who uses tastefully chosen ingredients and cooks it with care and requires a very careful slow-cook in order to have the right taste in his bamboo shoot soup. archons, it's so in character I'm laughing so hard. love ya, venti edit: additional note, simple as it is it tastes really good my mom's made tomato soup with potatoes and carrots before
and on top of that he calls it "ratatouille" cause he probably heard it from some fontainian who visited mondstadt and thought it sounded fancy 💀💀💀

i realize genshin illustrator had a way to make an ordinary dish looked special with the way they decorate and present it... specially comes to live when you make it like this in a video. garnishing needs its own chef. lol
Genshin Impact does have a chef consultant by the name of Long Erjun. He also consults for the Honkai Impact cooking anime. He also post the recipes for a lot of the in-game dishes on the Mihoyo blog.

I like how in character it is for ventis specialty to be able to be made using cheap ingredients that keep for a long time, but is simultaneously filling. He makes the most of the meager scraps he is able to come by

Maybe it needs less water, or use wine instead water, and just made a consistency like a gazpacho ❤️ Maybe use some potato starch and tomato paste for a chowder consistency. Remember, if it doesn't work, fix it 🥴🥴🥴

What's Dutch hutspot? I thought it was based on ratatouille.

I was so dreaming of watching a video for making this! I will surely try to cook it, but I don't know if I'll patiently take my time for getting the plating right. I am also thinking of putting some rice or some chicken in it, in order to strengthen it up a bit. I know it may not be the best dish out there to cook, but I appreciate that you made a video for it. Some minced meat balls and cheeckpeaks may give this soup a better feeling, it's similar to a recipe we use to cook in winter, but additionally to the carrots and potatoes, we add onion, cheek peas and minced meat in little balls :)

You could use clear tomato consommé instead of tomato soup. I think it would be nicer that way
