In this video I will show restoration of the World War I bayonet. This is a 1913 MkI bayonet knife for a 1914 P14 rifle, USA (for Great Britain). The handle of this bayonet knife was converted to a German bayonet knife handle so that it could be mounted on a Mauser 98K rifle. This remodeling was done over 100 years ago during World War I. This bayonet has been in the ground more than 100 years!

Awesome job remarkable skills my friend always love seeing a piece of History restored now all that thing needs is a good bayonet Scabbard

I have 2 of those have had them for over 30 years
Splendid job Indeed. Just a little precision if I may... WW1 german bayonets were blued, they always kept a white, polished finish
Interesting bayonet, and very rare. Great job, as always!
you should probably weather the grips a bit more, aside from that it looks fantastic
I recommend making a custom flathead like I did to unscrew the blots
Nicely done 👍 looks really cool. Great job
Thank you bro!
Nice new video!

Hi. Enjoy the restorations👍 I have two German WW2 daggers that got rusty in flood water. How would you go about re polishing the blades which were quite bright and gad a cross grain type polish before they got rusty. When polishing how to not ruin the blacked inscriptions and makers marks? Thanks 🌞
Amazing restoration of this bayonet knife. #Respect 😎👍
This is not a knife, this is a sword 😅

Actually you are quite correct. These were bayonets for the Lee Enfield Mk111 rifles and were known specifically as sword bayonets. I own two in original scabbords along with a Mk111...
I had one of these bayonets when i was younger. This exact model. Are they worth much?
Can you be contacted for this kind of work? I have a WW2 Polish M31 helmet that has been ground dug that I would love to see restored.
👍👍👍
what kind of fluid is that at 8:26 minutes
I would have rubbed margarine on it and left it alone. But, that's my educated view in my opinion.
What bayonet is this? It has the pommel of an SVT 40. But it's German
👌👌👌👍👍👍
The heat treat is gone now
I noticed that too. I don't think he can sell it for what he put into it.

P14/G98 hybrid? Why would anyone bother make that up, it's not as if there was a shortage of bayonets after WW1.
I don't know about you guys but that's not a knife I don't care what they called it in the modern times that's a sword
Sorry fella but I think you got this one wrong, being a very rare item it should have been preserved rather than restored, yes you have done a good job on it but it has lost its soul for want of a better way to say it
Yes, I could tell when it was in the sandblaster that the metal was discolored indicating that it lost it's temper, and the bluing just covered up the discolorization. I'm not sure it's worth the time he put into it since it has so much done to it. But I suppose if somebody wants it, they will pay for it.

I don't believe such videos. All those "rusty" things were done rusty just to shoot videos. That's why all af them easily become new. Because all of yhen were new just a small time before the filming.
