  • Love his calm delivery. Makes his humor catch you off-guard. Found myself laughing without even realizing it at first. My favorite line so far.. 'basically a bully's job is to say terrible things about you and make you feel bad about yourself until you're old enough to just do that naturally for yourself." Ha ha, maybe I should be thanking my junior high bullies for my midlife fashion sense.

    • @@RRRRobbbb wow man calm down. I think they meant that despite being so young he is a total natural and being that he is going to school for accounting it is literally the definition of a side gig. It seems to be an amazingly successful side gig, but he didn't spend 5 years of his life going to comedy college in case his passion for accounting doesn't workout. I hope he never has to use his accounting degree for a living if he doesn't want to and he is good enough he probably won't have to; but currently he literally said he is "considering a career in comedy" which makes it a side gig while he is finishing college and not yet a full fledged career. There is nothing demeaning about that. It is amazing that he is killing it already and he has barely begun.

  • The comedy's working dude. Evertime I thought a joke wasn't working it was because it wasn't finished. Took me a while to realise that was his strenth. So many comedians, even well established ones, if a gag fails for some reason they keep at it adding stuff improve and it just makes the fail even worse. With this guy it would sound just like that then he comes out of left field and nails it. Subtle. If this is only his part time gig, imagine after he gets a few years under his belt. The whole mediocrity and lack of confidence thing makes him relatable. Self depreciation is always funny.

    @wasntme9578@wasntme95784 жыл бұрын
    • yeah. it's not exactly an original schtick, but it's fine all the same. other comedians, when a joke fails they "add stuff improve"? I'm not sure if you meant "to improve [it]" or "improvised", but regardless, these jokes are not off the cuff. any joke in a special has been worked to death and the little add-ons aren't an exception

      @mackhomie6@mackhomie64 жыл бұрын
    • @@mackhomie6 That was exactly my point. It was all worked out. It made you feel like he was floundering but pulled it together in the end. That was no accident. It may not be totally original but its not always done very well. This guy with time I believe will be big. And yes I meant improvising not improving. I would go see him. • In my late twenties, after an idle conversation with my husband about bullies, I did some googling and discovered that my childhood bullies were *almost all either dead or had gone to jail* One had never graduated and he ODed. One had a great white collar job but had been busted as part of a scrip dealing ring. One, it turned out, had something seriously wrong with him neurologically, which explained a lot. The meanest one, the only one who continued trying to bully people even in high school, had gotten married, had a very promising career ahead and then got some kind of cancer and died very quickly!😳 There was one female bully, she had the mildest outcome: asking a friend, I was just told "still a stripper." Meanwhile, my own life was going great-- far, far better than I had ever imagined possible as a child. It became very easy to let go of some of the pain of being bullied at that point!
