OMG❤🎉🎉 I have a whole David for me! Full inside.
Just thought about a Netflix especial. Looking forward to seeing that happening for you.❤👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😅😂
This was fantastic! I got to learn a little while laughing a lot!
Thank you!!!!
That crowd should have given him a standing ovation. So smart, funny, and even heartwarming. Plus, he's super intelligent for a moron!😂
😆👊🏽
I’m Colombian, husband is mostly Irish, our son is our Green Bean who has a British name and a very Latino face. Everything about this was so much fun to watch 😂.
Green bean, love that.
Saw David last night at the Vermont Comedy Club. Now I understand what it means when the Irish have a “Gift of the Gab”. He went on non-stop for over an hour then took questions afterwards. His stories were hilarious and almost unbelievable. But at the end of his skit he brought pictures as proof. My wife and I had ringside seats and neither of us remember ever laughing so hard. I believe he sells himself short. Ticket prices were cheap!
Thanks a million. Kind words much apprecited 🙌 and cheers for coming along!
@davidnihill1 You are the most articulate person ever. I don't think you uttered the word "Umm" during the entire performance.
I'd love to see in person I'm sure he's extra funny in person .I adore his latino.hes really one of a kind .I wish him The best.
Many Irish aren't Greedy. I can relate to his stories. I am part Irish. M

In only 9 minutes this guy made me want to go to Ireland.
I've wanted to go so bad. On several different occasions I've met Irish immigrants like, green card status and TWO of them said something to the effect of "You know how Ireland is beautiful because it's so green?....well thats because it never stops fucking raining!" and I died laughing. Irish are dope. I can't wait to visit and get talked into staying, one of these days.
Dave is so typical of our general Irishman, being hilarious, observant, articulate and disarming, and I could not be more proud of my fellow countryman. You're doing our reputation no harm at all there, David. all the best sure.
Made me wanna go to mexico😂
Studied abroad there and BRUH, never met a more hospitable people than the Irish. Still keep in contact with many people. They’re the easiest conversationalists and best storytellers ✨
The main problem with going to Ireland is keeping up with the locals in the pub ... The way they drink they should have named the country Thirsty
As a white American stoner mountain biker with a liking for tacos, lowriders, and funk music, and Irish heritage in my bloodline, I can definitely say this guy is feckin' awesome!
He makes all of us descended from the Irish in America really pissed. I kind of hate him.

This is by far the funniest stand up I've seen since I don't know when. Thank you for making the Irish so loveable!

ah Jesus donna, sorry to hear that, just know I guarantee he's looking down at you like "Aye feck it like, she's doin' grand for herself now"@@donadeavera9608
I’m only surprised he hasn’t been evicted yet? He’s fearless and utterly funny. And he points all the fingers to all the places where it hurts most. I love that man.
Absolutely incredible special. I spent the last 4 months in Ireland as an American. It made me realize how backwards and crazy our country is. Youre hilarious man, keep going 💪🏽
Thanks a million!
We're not backwards, we're a clown car.
It’s my dream to be able to go to Ireland, with no time set to come home.
@@user-qr8ki8ue4i It's worse than that--we're a backwards-facing clown car.

Absolute gold. David really knows how to integrate comedy, pauses, and non-verbal communication into a masterfully crafted show. Couldn't stop laughing.
Cheers!
"pauses'' , crikey mate that was machine gun rapid fire remain switched on or die material .lol
This fellow should be an ambassador to the world...his positivity is infectious. His comedy is impactful and honestly FUNNY. Oddly, I have never heard of him...and I hope that changes for the better. We certainly need more bright thinkers
He seems VERY compliant with 🌈
Yes I agree I think he's wonderful
My great grandfather was orphaned in Ireland when his parents died in a factory fire. He stowed away on a boat and became the cabin boy, sailed around the world several times, ended up in San Francisco. We would hear stories of him and his adventures growing up. I still have his sitting chair. We're very proud of our Irish ancestry and David here shows why; humor, wit, thoughtfulness, a bit of self depreciation and a lot of love. Thanks man, I found you on TikTok first, glad to see you hear, haven't laughed this long in forever. I'll be checking to see when you come to Seattle again.
As an Italian American, that joke about history being a Netflix series was much appreciated. 👏👏👏
How the heck he managed to put everything into relatable stories... Is beyond me.. he's one brilliant Irishman👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Why is it that this guy is smarter faster funnier better and more understanding than any politician we can come up with in the USA in 50 years and he's not even a natural born citizen so he can't be president but we need him desperately. I never laughed so hard.
oof had to google to double check but kennedy was over 50 years ago now...but hey - there is obama and, to be fair, though not very likeable, bush sr was very articulate and smart
A lot of US politicians are trained in avoidance speech. Like that Mike Pence. Plus, corruption runs rampant in US politics, unfortunately.
Thank you Dave! I am an Argentine, half Spanish, quarter English quarter Irish with half German kids. I loved the show. Mixing is what gives life. Is what keeps things happening in the universe. Thank you for telling us to embrace it. I will definitively use the term “cultural appreciation” whenever I have the chance.

I just returned from a 2 week trip to Ireland. He represents the tenor of the Irish people generally, never taking themselves too seriously and always enjoying a good laugh. Great special. I’ll be looking for him when he comes to Boston.

I've been to Ireland, 22 years ago. I've traveled to a lot of countries and I can say unequivocally, that Ireland was spectacularly friendly and welcoming. I was actually overwhelmed by how warm and gracious the welcome was. The next two friendliest: New Zealand and Vietnam.
I’ve not been to Ireland, but I had Diane friends in New York who were from Ireland. It was always fun to go to the pub with my wee Irish lads 💜💜💜. They were definitely always into some mischief tho
for me, it was Ireland & Costa Rica
I have to add northern Italy.
That's interesting. I heard Ireland is quite racist. But I have found Irish people some of the most aware white pple when it comes to race. Outside of Ireland. ( pleased you liked NZ! Kia ora!)
@@zoemiller9716 I can only speak to my personal experience. I shan't demonize an entire nation based on someone else's. That said, racism is an historical global phenomenon from which no country is exempt. That includes Ireland and my home nation of the United States. Let me clarify, in the two weeks during my visit to Ireland I was welcomed and treated well. I know people (live near them, have worked with them, been taught by them) who have treated me with respect but who I know embrace racist ideology and uphold racialized institutional structures. These dynamics are not mutually exclusive and coexist in human beings.
I worked with a lady in college who was dyslexic and it warms my soul to think how much she would appreciate this comedy.
This half-Irish half-Mexican, American lady can attest that they are quite similar! My Irish father bonded with my Mexican mother over their childhood trauma in Catholic schools 😂
your Parents sound like wonderful people. ❤
Way to go Dave 👏👏
Thanks mate. Much appreciated and see you next hopefully not in St. Louis :)
Fantastic special you rock
love the comedian love. Super fortunate to have caught one of Drews shows in AZ where he made fun of a table of angry drunk hillbillies all night, although that was pre-Will Smith. lol =P

Irish shagging their way across America. This has long been my understanding of history, too!
One of the funniest comedy shows I've seen in a while. The fact David went out and showed us the photos and videos got me giggling like an idiot, as i was reminded of watching my families stupid shenanigans on old cameras we find during cleaning up. Being deslexic, as well, I relate to so many of the blanders his been through. May all people by as wholesome and true hearted as you David!
Very kind words much appreciated 🙌
Hilarious!! Hope I can find more of him on line... and now I have to go to Ireland
Me to😂 loved the photos at the end😂
Oh, this is straight up like being with my mother. She always use to say, "Well, to make a short story even longer," and off we go for a two hour plus, story-time because I suffer the same gift o' gab as her. And, yes, her heritage is right out of Swords, Ireland. You made my day, tears of laughter, and a warmth in my heart.
What a storyteller! Laying the ground work in one part, and then surprise, drop it in another! It's a classic technique, and David pulls it off with ease. Keep it up man!!👍👏
This guy is a natural comedian with a sharp mind and very aware of what is what, let alone that he is not afraid of pointing out stuff that might be uncomfortable for some people in the American audience. Keep the good material coming up amigo, you are good. Greetings from Toronto.
True & kinda true. He's in Utah, one of the most, if not thee most, Conservative state/s. LDS are very Conservative. Utahns are 1/2 devout LDS, 1/2 live by that LDS subculture. I'm from NY & moved to Utah abt 10 yrs ago. I went from hardcore Leftie to hardcore Right, brainwashed nutty kookoo ppl to factual, logical, common sense, informed ppl. If a Right-wing comedian is going anywhere, it's Utah, Wyoming, Montana or Idaho. All US cities are Leftie, but there's degrees of it. The South is considered very Republican/Conservative, not so much the cities. They're extremely Leftie. I've been down South many times. Salt Lake City is considered very Leftie to Utahns. To me, it's barely Leftie. Same with Billings, Boise & Cheyenne. In NY, I'm from Buffalo/Niagara Falls & Staten Island. I've been to Toronto many times & used to watch CBC living in WNY. You probably know abt my burb town in WNY. 💕

David's storytelling reminds me a bit of Garrison Keillor's News From Lake Wobegon monologues (this is intended as a high compliment; YMMV). Dry, funny, woven together with sly cross references...truly artful while seeming artless, in the best tradition of storytelling. Well done, sir, well done.
1970s Worked on construction ground work pick and shovel graft for Wimpey in UK , but it was a pleasure because of all the Irish guys, we never stopped laughing ,most of them were naturally funny not always consciously , the few pints we had on the way home led to more laughter .Hard work ,hard men good work mates . Thanks for the Irish trivia and teaching me Ireland is more diverse than you'd expect. I'm proud to have ancestors from Ireland :)
A perfect example of our gift of the gab. I felt like I was in the pub, a few drinks in and just chatting with whoever was there (cause it's always someone who worked with your Da or went out with your cousin or actually IS your cousin and you had no clue) stories that are seemingly different all meld together into the one thing because we really ARE just telling the one story, we just take the scenic route 🤷🤣 A great Irish comedian in the long line of great Irish comedians ! When I am down, I always listen/watch this special. Never fails to pick me back up in a good mood!
As a person who just got back my ancestry DNA results, I can confirm that the Irish are always there, and for me from both parents which was not expected
last names are never a good basis to track your ancestry. Adoptions, single moms, etc. Only constant with mankind, is that there is always something unexpected.
@@Kotazo85 Don’t know what tracking last names have to do with my comment since I said I got my DNA results back but ok
@@BlackShadowUchiha why was having Irish blood unexpected for you? A decent part of the East Coast has plenty. Even in Mexico due to that San Patricio platoon of mercenaries from that 5 de mayo war.

@@BlackShadowUchiha ah yes. Europe is such a narrow area that populations can actually mix up a lot either on the motherland, or when inmigrant groups mingle at a new place. Take a trip to Manhattan, Orlando or even here in SJ Costa Rica. Just a group of 5 guys can easily have 15 different ethnic groups on their genome. Spain alone was pretty diverse before they sent the colony fleets...
