Daniel Jacobs defeated Sergio Mora via seventh round TKO on Friday, September 9th, 2016 at the Santander Bank Arena in Reading, PA.
Both fighters met in a rematch from their August 2015 bout that ended in an early victory for Jacobs despite both fighters getting knocked down.
The rematch ended up in a much more dramatic fashion as Daniel Jacobs knocked Sergio Mora down five times and the fight was ultimately stopped by both the referee and Sergio Mora’s corner in the 7th round.
Jacobs improves his record to 32-1 with 29KOs.

It was boring as hell. Mora running around completely ineffective, then about once or twice a round Jacobs would corner him and do damage and knock Mora down, who I think went down 32 times in the fight. Complete waste of time to watch as it was a terrible mismatch. Why the rematch I have no idea.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll still check it out if PBC uploads it. The first fight was only controversial because of the leg injury. But clearly Mora didn't belong in there with Jacobs.

those first two knockdowns were bad calls. no punch landed in the first one, I'm shocked the commentators with a great angle and slow motion couldn't see it. the second was a shot to the back, not a scoring blow. pointless fight, really thought big things were coming after the Quillin fight. hope Golovkin is next
