Favorite task if this series I think. "We showed three." I want the extended cut of every crash.

Yes I love this task as well and how it was an iconic moment in the intro .... was waiting for this task to happen... I am not sure if they ever have released outtakes from the tasks or blooper reels. BUT this one with Jenny's session I would love to see them all and her and Alex's reactions!😂 😂😂

The brace, brace moment is absolutely iconic and never fails to make me cackle like a mad man
The sound guy was inside the boat during the crash(es) and had to endure the brutal noise from massive collisions in his headphones. As an audio engineer myself, I can sympathize. Consummate pro. Took a beating for the love of the show. Jenny apparently hurt her ribs in those crashes too. And the barge task was one of my favorites this season.
Silly Alex! That hat is the fourth-best thing for a car journey, not a barge journey.

@@thomasthomasson2319 the rule was to prevent them from just getting on top of the barge and putting the rings on the pole, not for if the ring accidentally hit your head

Maybe I’m just a jerk but I feel like 2 points each to Jenny and Frankie when they 1) didn’t get all the rings and 2) Frankie touched one of the rings was extremely generous

I usually know all the comedians on here but the young guy and girl are new to me, the girl, Martin is American, so that's probably why. Not sure about Ivo (if that's his name) he seems funny though

Mae is Canadian and has worked in English TV, starring w/ Charlotte Ritchie in a show called "Feel Good". Kiell is an actor on a hit show called "Ghosts" - also starring Charlotte Ritchie.
If it wasn't for Frankie's failure, I feel like this task wouldn't be nearly as entertaining. The geese (swans?) that look like they're judging Jenny are pretty good too though.
Jenny had trouble controlling the barge.
Normally barges and canal boats have types and things around them to prevent collisions and damage to docks, I'm not entirely sure how Alex can claim it was safe or supervised, other than a lack of people in that stretch
Pretty sure it would still have been supervised just because you can't see anyone. And they have a health and safety team who look into the tasks and make sure there's no danger and they were clearly okay with this too.
I mean it was clearly not being used as intended lol. That said, they've never done an unsafe task so I'm sure there was extra people just not shown on screen.
A lot of the time, the staff is edited out of the footage. I'm sure they had more people than it seemed.
Given that John Robins genuinely had to have a two-hour meeting to discuss the safety implications of putting an egg in the driving seat of a car being driven at 2 mph, it’s a very safe bet that this task was not as risky as it appeared to be.
How am I 14 years old and have driven more "barges" than this lot :))
