In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.
Mawaan's disappearing cow was probably the most impressive thing I ever saw on this show.
Potato thrown into the hole?
@@FutureDeep That's my other favourite moment. That entire segment was the pinnacle for Taskmaster. However, it was a physical triumph, where this was a moment of divine genius! If they hadn't showed how it was done, I would have honestly never have figured it out.
It impresses me how the SMALLEST object (toy cow) vanishing wins the "make the LARGEST object...." task. Cheeky cheater pasta cow face
And maybe yoghurt kick @@FutureDeep
Yeah but then he tried to fill a raw egg with helium so…it equals out lol.
I was actually kind of impressed by Katherine's. You could hear the crew shuffling around, but I wasn't expecting the fake wall of drawers.
Like one of those Penn & Teller routines where the way it was done is actually more entertaining than the trick itself.
1:30 If not for the wobbling mirror, that was actually really smooth. A genuine vanishing trick.
Oh wow it's been a while since I've watched Daisy desperately trying not to piss herself with laughter in the studio, I forgot how wonderful this series was.
Oh god, I despised her, funny how different peoples vibes can be. Hard for me to imagine people liking her.
She was by far one of the most annoying contestants of the series!
Without the audience, the absurdity of the whole concept must weigh heavy on everybody on stage. It's wonderful. The QI episodes without audience also get a living room vibe with Acaster encouraging Lycett to talk about a character he did.
@@jonsmith5058 It's really wild how varying these affinities can be. For instance, I liked Daisy on the show just fine, but I really disliked Rhod Gilbert and James Acaster (again, on the show, I'm not saying as people or as comedians per se), who seem to be recurring favorites of the audience. We're all so different! And yet we all love TM 😊
@@luciahoneybeeI loved how Rhod turned the show on its head and used every opportunity he could to antagonize Greg and Little Alex Horne.
Mawaan was a genius in this task. Surely he's a sure-fire winner for the series and he won't do anything absolutely stupid in the very next task, like, IDK... attempt to inflate an egg with helium
Mawaan delighted me, and the way he swung between genius and idiocy was a large part of that.
He never tried to inflate the egg, just fill it with enough helium to float.
His best house of cards task (where he brought the bell inside) and made a lighthouse was really good too@@qwertyTRiG
Well it's in the hall of taskmaster fame. Points or not.
After all the up-front talk of "what does it mean to vanish", the biggest mystery is how the Chicken Act avoided a thorough scorching.
I enjoy how Daisy called the cow "Best known", at this point in the series the cow had only been in the series for 15 minutes since this is the first episode it ever appeared in.
it was also the first ever episode it disappeared in
I think this every time
The tasks aren't always shown in the order they were shot though, it's possible that was a later task and she was expecting it to be shown in a later episode.
"You've just rammed a cow into a hedge" is legitimately one of my favourite quotes of all time.
This whole series brought the biggest pandemic madness energy possible and I lapped it up
It was amazing during the pandemic, not watched it since partially cause of everything being covid, but also think it wasnt the best casting
@@SamOGrseason 15 was the best season of all time, imo. would defo check it out. the amount of anger in the room at all times is a spectacle
@@skw_x thanks, but I've seen them all a few times over 😂 7,9 and 14 and NZ S2 are my favs
@@SamOGr thought you meant you hadn’t watched anything since the pandemic lol, i now understood what you meant hahah
@@skw_x Series 15 is in the bottom 3 for me, but it certainly has its appeal
I honestly love every attempt at this task: Richard’s is route-one, yet effective and practical thinking that’s always great to see amidst the madness. Katherine’s is one that you’d dismiss at first, but the reveal superbly subverts your assumptions. Johnny’s and Daisy’s are both just flat-out hilarious to watch along with the studio chatter. And Mawaan’s is just an amazing concept and execution that many others wouldn’t likely come up with. Easily my favourite task of the season, and one of my favourite tasks ever.
I fully expected Kathrine to have vanished the cacti behind her. She stood perfectly to cover it up!!!
I can't believe the chicken nonsense beat out the disappeared couch and Alex. Those were fun, well-presented illusions, while the chicken was just plain lunacy (though still obviously better than "Where'd the cow go?").
It was a 200 foot chicken though. That's a very large object.
I don’t think Richard’s attempt gets enough credit in the comments his was brilliantly thought out and executed too
I disagree with "brilliant tought out" since this is a pretty normal magician trick. It should have been 2nd place though.
Seeing a British guy making fun of another British guy's English accent was class.
The music in this task is just spectacular. Massive props to whoever is behind it
technically Mawaan's cow was the smallest object but it was the most impressive
I want Johnny Vegas to direct a kaiju film
I want him to direct a Godzilla film specifically. Just tell him Godzilla is a giant lizard with laser breath and see where he goes with that
Johnny Vegas is a complete legend in this his is completely mental and I love it
Can't wait for the 29th!! Thanks for all the wonderfull uploads from the Netherlands.
they showed how they were all done afterwards, except for Johnny's. now we will never know!
Mawaan's wasn't done afterwards either.
You can already tell from the first scene in the studio, that they have been laughing a lot during this episode. (0:31)
What I love about this task is that it says ‘Make the LARGEST object properly vanish’ so technically, the person who lazily rammed a cow into a hedge should have got the 5 points haha.
Yep it was pretty much in the opposite size order hahaha
but she used "editing trickery" by just not showing it at all in the first place.
On presentation alone this was a last place entry.
The sofa was bigger though.
The cow was never there. How did it vanish. The cow was missing. The task was not find a missing object. Oh, you don't see it. I guess it vanished.
There was CAMERA trickery, but there was no editing tricks, which was what was prohibited.
i made my parents faith in me disappear
Man, this season was so good. Absolutely my favourite.
I'm only sad about Mawaan's trick because now that I know what he did, I can't enjoy being fooled by it again :(
Richard Herring was underscored in this task!
Greg was so spot on a out Katherine giving super weird presenter vibes
Johnny Vegas and the Chicken was the best ever
I love how hard Daisy laughs at herself
Johnny not only got out of having to do more tasks, he got second. Now that's how you go mad.
Series 10 was so funny it was almost unreal
It's not often Katherine does better than Daisy iirc, lol.
Katherine mostly does better than Daisy, anyone does better than Daisy tbf. Daisy was one of the few contestants who was annoying and simply not inspiring to watch.
Why have you made your most recent upload, not available in the UK???
I don't know about that one. The task did say the largest object, and neither Mawaan's cow nor Johnny's 200-foot mutant chicken were regular cow-sized or 200-feet high.
Mawaan I'll totally give, because the casual observer will completely believe that that was the full-sized cow. We've seen that cow so many times, including in this very task, that we have precedent for understanding that it was a life-size cow. The fact that it was a small dummy is itself the trick. The chicken was just dumb.
@@VanessaMagick the cow had actually debuted in this episode but since it appeared in the prior task (deliver the drinks while holding a teddy), and we had just seen Daisy's attempt, it worked a treat
You just saw documentary footage of the 200 foot chicken and the trail of destruction it caused. It was clearly a real 200 foot mutant creature.
Number of people complaining that Mawaan made the smallest thing disappear. No. He used illusion to make a fully sized cow disappear. That's how magic is done.
I think tree people solved it beautiful:)
Name them. But focus on the word "LARGEST"
I want to know who the Tree people are.
@@MinekEzQMYou could also focus on that one of them made NOTHING vanish because the clip started with the cow already being hidden out of view.
I would like to point out that I think the couch act should be number one... As the Primary goal was to make the LARGEST object disappear. The cow on a stick was the smallest object.
My first thought was, stars, and wait for daytime 😂
Or the sun and wait for nighttime ;)
@@Jhinna I thought maybe get a telescope, point it at betelgeuse and then either wait for day, or just knock the telescope over, let's face it, you're never finding that on your own again 😂
The time limit makes that suggestion difficult
See, this is why I question my intelligence sometimes. My first thought was... wait for an eclipse.
@@benjaminlumsden I don't think the next one in London is due until 2090
So the chicken guy beat the mirror trick?! Seriously?!!!!
"I'm not a magician" fitting because she broke up with a guy for resembling a magician 😂
People I need to see on Taskmaster: Richard Ayoade Tom Scott That's all for now. Please make this happen.
mawan made a very tiny cow disappear
I will turn off the cameras and there goes the world
I was thinking that same thing as they showed Katherine's task.
That's "editing trickery".
@@gregoryhayes7569 No editing is involved, it's nothing more than pressing a button.
How is it editing when there literally no editing (cut) in that solution? Are we biased, eh? Are we also trying to tell people that Mowan's tiny cow was the largest object?
"convincingly" vanish
The task was make the largest thing vanish… you then awarded points in backwards order giving the most to the smallest, then 2nd smallest, etc….. I demand a recount and awards to be reissued like the Olympics…..
If only this show were called let youtube comments decide and not taskmaster with Greg Davies the taskmaster you'd have got your recount.
Saying that Alex Horne is littler than a plastic cow is pretty in-character though
Welcome to Taskmaster, where everything's completed well in advance, and the points don't matter
Daisy didn't make the cow vanish. She hid the cow and then pretended that it had gone missing. Everyone else at least showed a thing and then did something and the thing was gone from sight. Daisy is lucky she got even 1 point for her effort.
You can see the shadow of the cow on Mawaan’s clothes 😅
Yeah I noticed that after like the 5th time rewatching his turn at the task and it’s still impressive regardless
Incorrect title says "Make the Largest Object VANISH" Correct title should be "Make the LARGEST Object vanish" - and giving Mowan 1 point for making the SMALLEST object vanish.
Mawaan made 2 things vanish technically because the large cow and the small cow weren't there.
Correct-er title: "Make an object VANISH in the most appealing way."
The illusion was that he made a full sized cow disappear. The fact it was a small cow on a stick is irrelevant to the size of the thing he made disappear.
do you think David Copperfield ACTUALLY made the statue of liberty vanish? no, he made it appear to vanish by rotating the stage. making something *appear* to vanish is what counts, and Mawaan made the full sized cow _seem_ to have vanished, so that's what he was marked on
Ah the stupid Covid times...
Hi Alex please say hullo
Daisy May, woman in the red dress , always looks like she’s trying to not wet herself, each time she laughs. Incontinent
she was very heavily pregnant during the studio segments, so she probably was trying not to piss herself due to that
Mawaan didn't make the LARGEST object disappear. Should not have won. Fire Greg.
Mawaan should not have won. The task was to make the BIGGEST thing properly vanish. The Cow he used was literally the smallest object made to vanish. Even if it was made to appear bigger than it was, you'd have to allow Johnny the same leway at which point his Chicken was bigger than the cow,
I have to admit - this was my least favourite season
It used to be mine too until I rewatched it! Katherine, Johnny and Mawaan are slow burners. No audience makes it weird anyhow, but I love it now that I revisted.
The NZ Taskmaster has less personality than a Styrofoam cup please get them a new one
A 200 foot mutant chicken!
