  • Rose won the battle with weili but weili won the war! You can tell the difference by which direction each fighter career has gone, you have weili regaining the belt and defending it successfully and her stock shooting up like a rocket not just financially but also influentially, and then you have rose on the other hand hasn't won a fight in 2 years took time off to grapple and got schooled then when it's time to comeback she decides she no longer wants to fight in the strawweight division and took her chances in the flyweight as she also attempted to be great but failed, she is no longer in the top 5 ranking in either division and after her lost to Manon ,rose stock plummeted, weil is still standing tall and has claimed the throne which rose was given a chance to reclaim but refuse #weiliwillreignsupreme

    • You must be new to the fight game. People identify with their favorites and yes, they hate other fighters that might beat their favorites. A truly great fighter always has "anti-fans". Weili is great fighter and champion.

  • It's sad really. The UFC will never book Rose vs Zhang 3 because they want the china market and know that Rose would beat her again for the 3rd time. Either fight Rose or Suarez. Thats not her belt to begin with.

    • Weili is too well rounded now. Rose won the 2nd fight via close decision because Weili was inexperienced and accepted being on her back a few times during the fight. You can clearly see her evolution since the 2nd Rose fight, with particular emphasis on the fight with Carla. Weili improved to the point where she was able to beat Carla at her own game, whereas Rose unsuccessfully played the distance game for 25 minutes, causing her to lose the belt. What do you think would happen now that Weili's wrestling has improved so much? And when have you known the UFC to not book fights that the fans want to see in order to "protect" someone? The fact is, Rose could have had the fight if she wanted it. All she had to do was stay in 115 and win a fight against another contender like Mackenzie to make her claim. If the 3rd fight never happens, it'll be because Rose doesn't want the fight.
