If you're able to do those things, you're putting your opponent at a mental disadvantage where they're more prone to making mistakes. Muhammad Ali did it best.

Zhang practices Chinese Kung Fu --> didn't lose connection to her heritage and culture. This is an important win not just for MMA in China, but Traditional Chinese Kung Fu because there's too many westernized Chinese that have been white washed into thinking only the West is good. Yes, the father of MMA is actually "Bruce Lee" but even he didn't forsake his traditional Chinese kung fu.
@@samsun01 if you read Bruce Lee's writings he says the most useless thing he was taught was Chinese Martial arts. Fighting someone from a different fighting style/martial art is difficult for Traditional Martial arts practitioners. Also Zhang has a basis of Taichi not Traditional Martial arts like Wing Chun. Sanda is the only useful Chinese Martial art but I think pairing or using martial arts bases from Chinese Martial arts could be useful or perhaps specific moves modified to do damage.
@@salvatorenostrade3331 Bruce Lee also had back surgery in his 30s and had horrible pain in his back. Bruce Lee is just a blip in Chinese Martial Arts, he wasn't not even close to being the "best" in any category: 1) speed 2) power 3) skill 4) longevity --> this one's important, son. Westernised bullshit MMA is worst than watered down Japanese kung fu (i.e. Karate, Jiu Jit-su). Bruce Lee had very shallow understanding of Chinese Kung Fu. He was busy doing movies, teaching Caucasians his own inventions, or training his shit. . Heck, he wasn't even the best kung fu practitioner in HONG KONG during his 'reign'. He was definitely the most famous due to his bragging style. But we don't know if he was the best "fighter" (note this has nothing to do with Kung Fu) in his era because he never fought with the toughest triads or stuntmen. . Story, myths, whatever is divorced from reality son. It's like saying the Atomic Bombing of Japan led the Japanese to surrender the war. Do your research, son.
@Sukan MMA is a primitive fighting 'system' if you can call it that. Without the refs, MMA is complete trash. It heavily favours wrestlers and grapplers only because the rules are skewed in its favour. . Don't tell me what Kung Fu is. You have no clue what it is. Kung Fu is Chinese, and you think you can grasp it just by reading about it from English articles? Or videos on KZhead by Caucasians or white washed Chinese? GTFO, son. .
@Sukan Kung Fu has suffered just as much as China during its "Century of Humiliation". Kung Fu is rusty, it's out of shape but what MMA has going for it right now is it copied the "sparring" aspect from boxing. . It's not that "Kung Fu" (including tai chi) doesn't have "sparring", it's that people forget about it. It's coming back and "Chinese sparring" is massively superior to Western primitive brain damage sparring.
She is one of the people that inspired me the most.
I hope the era of queen magnum will last a while, to bring back the honour, class and pride back to being a champion.
