Wish they would give the Breaker more bullets..... like its GOOD, but man you are just CONSTANTLY reloading the god dame thing. Id go so far as to give it 18 rounds per clip. Hell Put it back up to 15 rounds, their was NOTHING wrong with the gun.... plus its STILL A SHOTGUN, best used at close range (IE BUG CLEAR KING, Less so for BOTS). Like i will use the PUNISHER over the BREAKER just cus I'm not constantly reloading. Fun fact, the Spray and Pray fires BIRD SHOT! Yes really, it actually says that. At least it makes for a good Anti Aircraft Gun vs all those Shrikers...... OR you can not be a dumb ass and just nuke the nest from the other side of the map with a RPG. The Crossbow is pretty fun in my option, its basically a Silent mid range sniper. Not grate, but its fun at least. Edit: your not crazy, the Scythe has always been grate vs BOTS since its just POINT AND KILL. But yeah that Scope SUCKS!

They'll just gut everything based on number of users, all the while player numbers (the only number that matters) continue to go down sharply until they are left in the Destiny situation where nobody plays and the game dies. They are already going pretty quickly down that path. The balance person doesn't even play the game clearly because if they did the nerfs would be much less severe.

As someone who used Punisher Plasma against bots religiously before the buff, I can attest that it did take so getting use to. However it was just as strong then as it is now. The only difference is that the handling is WAY better now. The projectile speed is up, making it much easier to hit targets and cover greater distances. Love it so much.
I agree and I always said this too. But they also buffed the splash radius so the outer area gets the fall splash damage, it doesn't have damage drop off at the edges
It’s awesome. It can take out a group of chaff bots quicker than anything else out there. Plus it can stagger all of the higher level bots leaving them open for your teammates to kill them, or switching over to the AMR to pop off a headshot.
@@TylerWardhahadude, yesterday there was a group of troopers so big that my teammate decided to toss an eagle on them. By the time his eagle marker had landed there were none left. 3 shots from the plasma and all 12 were dead.
While I do agree the Plasma Punisher is probably the best gun against bots, against bugs, even at challenging difficulty, it has too little ammo and the shots tend to detonate on corpses instead of hitting the target nearby or behind the big corpses. As bots break to pieces, that isn't an issue but bug corpses tend to litter and far too many bugs do well at closing the distance, forcing me into using the machine pistol a lot and running out of ammo.
@@firedrapeon6012 It's great against bugs as well. It bullies Brood commanders into oblivion and it absolutely wrecks when you just spam fire it into a breach. It works very nicely in tandem with the grenade pistol to take out bile spewers as well (grenade + 1-2 plasma shots wipes them). Plus, in a pinch, it can kill Chargers and Titans through damaged armor. It may be a little ammo hungry, but it's still highly effective. It's not uncommon for me to pop off for 500ish kills and no deaths.
When "not that bad" & "average" used as the main descriptors for the weapons should be worrisome for the devs.

@@captaintruth majority of weapons slightly skim the surface of being "average" most are sinking in a vat of shit while the devs call them "good" or "balance" because you can still see some of the weapon floating in said shit. dont get me started with dead in the shit water support weapons or stratagems like the machine guns and rocket turret.
I actually don't agree using the term average at all.,because in helldivers 2 case, average means bad. The average gun is really bad. Like the liberator, diligence, liberator penetrator, adjudicator etc... They are all pretty bad and kinda feel all the same. If I choose any of those guns, I feel like I'm handicapping myself and I don't find any of them unique or special, they all do the same thing and they don't work well. The only guns that feel good and work well are the incendiary breaker (after the fire damage nerf, it feels over hyped now. It was nerfed by a lot), the sickle (barely. it's like a liberator with twice the mag size. But now lower damage.they should buff it to 60 since it has only 3 mags and to use it effectively, you have A LOT of downtime. The fact that it's "infinite" doesn't help much when the reload lasts 10 seconds, even if it's a passive reload. It's not a thing in it's favor ffs, for all the morons repeating that fact. I'd be way WAY happier if they made it a normal gun with 90-100 bullets in its mag, with 8 mags, instead of "infinite ammo" bs), the jar 5 dominator(for bots only. And barely as well. It's too clunky to use and hard to aim. Kinda bad when it has only 15 bullets in the mag, takes forever to reload and has a crazy kick). Some other runs are good but are not there. Like the scorcher. Its kinda decent vs bots but lacks the impact that it should, like it's great vs striders (if and when it actually works) but it's inconsistent. Vs other bots it takes like a full mag sometimes and it's painful. Many times even the smaller enemies eat a shit, like they have force field around them. Then the diligence counter sniper, which is good on paper but it's way too clunky and the handling is kinda bad. You have to hit heads or else it's like shooting blanks. Too situational in a game where you get swarmed. FK it. They just need to reduce the enemy health at this point of every small and medium by 30% for starters. Bile titans, chargers, stalkers, shriekers, hulks, tanks and big dogs can stay the way they are. But everything else is too spongy for what they are. Maybe they could give a 20% extra spawn rate so it's more fun as it stays difficult but you get to kill enemies instead of tickling them with half a mag to an entire mag. And stratagems would still be the best way because you could REALLY clean up a bunch of them. Oh and the 500kg bomb needs a small buff to it's explosion radius. It's heart breaking to watch it land in the middle of 100 enemies and it gets 8 kills. Or getting it to land right between the legs of titan and it shrugs it off like nothing. It should feel way more powerful than just a single elite target elite stratagem. It's used right now only to kill titans, maybe chargers, hulks and tanks. And it kinda works, 60% of the time, when perfectly timed and placed. Kinda lame for the biggest no b stratagem in the game. Same for the laser; It barely kills a single charger and titan, while it has only 3 uses and a 5 minutes cool down. It's the most overrated stratagem alongside the 500kg. I'd rather get more enemies that are easier to kill over less but spongy enemies. And all they so far is buff enemies right except a nerf to their head health months ago.

@@kato093 the breaker incendiary can handle an entire bug breach aside from chargers and titans by its self... how is that over rated? even on a fire planet on hell dive ive never used more than 3 heatsinks on a sickle and there is ammo all over the map and supply drops, it has good time to kill, great scope, great recoil and the infinite ammo is actually a think, its not just a think spouted by morons, you carry 3 weapons on you at a time, how about you prioritize targets and swap as needed, there is usually something you can kill with secondary or support weapon and by the time you do that sickle is already cooled down.... jar-5 its top tier, it hits like a truck, is accurate, the recoil when aiming down scope isnt much of an issue, while i certainly wouldn't bring it on purpose to bugs because of handling, much like the incendiary breaker its not awful when you do, high damage, high stagger, makes med enemies a joke have you actually tried the counter sniper since last buff? its not just good on paper... they greatly reduced the mass and the handling is fantastic now... one shot devastators in the head one after another after another.... ill give you the 500kg needs a wider radius, make the radius as wide as eagle air strike without the last upgrade i'll maybe give you the laser as well, either buff the damage a bit or remove the 3 charge limit, it already has a long cool down no please don't nerf enemies any more than already has happened, if you shoot weak points they all go down quick if you are having trouble hitting those weak points please go down a level or two and practice a bit more or adjust controller/mouse settings to find an easier control scheme that fits your play style better than default settings, don't make it so that people who want to have a skill based play style payoff lose any reason to play the game
"pummeler can stun lock anything below a charger". Fun fact! it can also stun lock chargers and hulks if shot in their weakspots. If you continuously shoot a charger in the butt or if its armor is shot off then you stun lock it. Hulks get stun locked if you shoot their back continuously. I love this gun against the bugs

I love the precision strike, I think it's the best designed orbital in the game, and when combined with stun nades and now pummeler, it's an easy kill on charges and hulks. I love the LibCon, but wouldn't mind seeing it's stagger bright in line with the pummeler, that would make it perfect imo
I don't think you even need to hit weak spots tbh, not for chargers anyway. I stunned a charger mid charge shooting it's armour 😂. Prob be nerfed soon.

The Purifier needs a rework. It needs to start at 200 damage and the damage increases as you charge, up to 350 damage (similar mechanic to the Railgun). But the fire rate with no charge needs to be slower than the Scorcher as to not replace it. It needs to have a risk vs reward feeling to charging up shots. It would fill a solid niche as an explosive type sniper replacement similar to how the Eruptor uses to perform but with less damage/explosive area to balance out the magazine size. But thats just my idea.
Auto charge shot would be handy where it releases the shot for you as soon as it is loaded up. More of a conveince for casuals. It also doesnt feel like it has medium armor pen after testing maybe thats a bug but I just dont feel like it is working as intended.
Honestly it should start at at least 300, given the plasma shotty is 250. Then ramp up to like 500. And it'll prob be perfect. Although I'd have to test some stuff for real numbera

The scythe buff basically just made people try it again. It’s a dot dmg weapon 50 extra dmg per second didn’t really change any breakpoints when it was already doing 300 per second. Would rather see the size of the beam increased to make it easier to stay on target and or give it a variable scope
I played with the scythe a lot before. The downside of laser weapons is you need a steady aim. Anytime you get flinched it sucks. The damage definitely helped it against bugs at least

Scythe need a sniper scope. It pinpoint accuracy is rendered useles due to that shitass walmart reddot that is probably not even centered. If i could actually hit devastators heads with it from a distance it would be very solid weapon.
Can we all agree that Marksman rifles should all deal at least 50 more damage than they currently do? It make no sense to me that a sniper rifle shot is dealing less damage than the liberator does in burst fire mode. At least the Anti Material Rifle feels pretty decent.

I explained my list at the beginning. The top 4 tiers are good S and A, ordering left or right is more important for that. So counter sniper would be in S tier. But regular in A tier. Diligence is a fine pick for bots imo. It feels good.

This is a solid upgrade to the tier list, you know the worst thing about the constant rebalancing? Is that you need to constantly retest stuff, cuz is interesting how a little change will swap weapons from awesome to awful and vice versa.. now, some might say it keeps game from getting stale, fine I agree, but ATST not everyone has the time to retest the whole arsenal every couple of weeks, not to mention that by design the game relies heavily on the relationship between primaries and stratagems/support-weapons... (Note when I rebalancing I'm referring to the game as a whole, not just weapons)
Slugger 1 taps devastator heads. It's not the best, but it's better than you give it credit against bots. It's a Diligence without the scoped zoom.

@@thiccfila I understand. They both nerfed the damage, and removed the stagger, in the same patch where they gave Dominator even more stagger, and even more damage. It didn't make any sense, and it ruined the feel of the gun. It's still useful, but it went from being one of the strongest bot weapons, to being very average. It used to be useful against bugs for single target, and staggering Stalkers, and the nerf made it equivalent to a slower firing diligence.
I competely agree. Slugger needs stagger back, that alone will be enough, imo, to bring it back to its former self. Plenty of other weapons now have stagger, and the slugger, considering its firing a singular shotgun slug round, should out of principle, have stagger.

@@LeafMaltieze When I learned that the Balance Dev just plays on 3 and 4 difficulty I sorta hovered over the uninstall button for a bit. We play on Helldive primarily and its so eye opening now why a great deal of these nerfs dont make a lot of sense..... The Balance Dev has no clue what its like to play on harder difficulties.... (Also, that same dev made a few comments about only testing for about 15 minutes or so each time they test...... WOT!!!)
Two things about both SMGs. You can fire while moving, so hip fire. This lets you dodge attacks while shooting. It lets you play aggressive, move to the side of bugs armour and go for close up head shots. The pummeled is especially good since it can stun lock even stalkers. Top of the line weapon. I play on suicide difficulty . Max one death per mission .

With the slight buff they did to the Adjuticator, it's great. Though pre-buff, I always thought "fix the scope and it'd be fine". I'll take the buffs though.

@@Redguns4life That doesn't make any sense. RoF only influences time to kill not what you are able to kill. The LC makes bug missions so much easier it's ridiculous. It pushes back whatever is trying to get to you so even if you're on your last few shots in the mag and don't have the damage to finish an enemy you still bought yourself some extra time and space vs Hunters and Stalkers.
Its crazy that Armalite is still making rifles in the late 22nd century. The Armalite 23 is still one of the best primaries in the game
If the Purifier got double damage and was maybe specialized towards single target damage and given the ability to hit Hulk eyes, shoot down gun shops, etc., I think it'd have a super solid niche. Maybe drop its shots per magazine down a little to compensate, but if we had a primary that could handle some of the more heavily armored targets, I'd feel better bringing something like the MMG. It feels like I'm throwing if I don't have some kind of anti-tank, especially with randoms. EDIT: meant to say gunships, not dropships, oops
The one thing the liberator concusive had going for it is its ability to stun stalkers. You can solo a stalkers nest without getting hit at all. Unfortunately, it sucks otherwise but damn is it nice to not get destroyed by stalkers.
It's also good for forcing things into an airstrike/DoT that are trying to escape. That said, I wouldn't mind seeing it stagger like the pummeler
One thing i don't understand in people is praising a weapon that stunlocks enemies when you hit the weakspot, like... i'd rather it kill in one shot instead of wasting more time and bullets since some enemies have minuscule weakspots and they aren't alone most of the time for you to line shots anyway.
Yet this is also under the pretense that you are not alone in these engagements. So being able to stun lock the likes of berserkers or even brood commanders will let the others sweep through the rest of the trash mobs so they can take that down later with no difficulty. It’s all part of how your combat ability benefits the team as a whole.

@@Tamachii12 you can stun like 4 enemies at a time letting your team deal with them a lot easier. The thing shuts down devastators without needing to pick off a headshot. same concept as a stun grenade. you’re buffing your team’s TTK by reducing the enemy’s ability to return fire.
Lets pretend we cant miss, 100% accuracy. Why use a similar gun that does light pen and more damage, over a gun that can stunlock most trash enemies with slightly less damage and the same light pen? The normal gun might get more kills but there is a higher chance of bullshit happening because the only thing saving you is your kill power vs the other gun you still have kill power but now cc is also helping you. Or are you comparing a horde weapon with cc to the dominator that is way more focused at single target but has light cc because its just stagger and not a full stun effect like the smg?
what's sad is the knight is really cool looking and feels good to use. the problem is the lack luster damage. I propose giving it medium armor pen and 30-40 meters max range. Also maybe a basic skinned version of it and give it to everyone for free. This makes it a fun up close powerhouse and gives everyone access to it so it doesn't become pay to win while also keeping some exclusive value for those who paid for it.
Honestly give me a Day with the balance team. Ive got ideas for pretty much all the weapons that would make them fun to use but also not too OP.

Removing the shrapnel from the Eruptor was such a tragedy. I really hope they bring it back.
I saw a suggestion on discord that Eruptor projectiles should "erupt" shrapnel in a cone, personally love this idea so I'm spreading it around
@erichthegraham that would be better than no shrapnel. You would lose out a bit on uses though. One of the things that made the original shrapnel so good was how you could shoot behind something and still hit them. You could shoot into a group and damage everything in front of and behind the impact.
Honestly I LOVE the liberator concussive. Sure it doesn’t do much damage and the fire rate is slower but it’s not designed to be a damage dealer. It’s a get TF away from me tool that’s perfect for bugs chasing you. You turn around, shoot, stun lock them, empty your mag, then switch to your primary damage dealer. It’s my favorite for bug missions.

I love it too, but as a fellow LibCon lover, let's go ahead and push to have it's stun brought in line with pummeler to make it better at its job.
The Blitzer is in my opinion pretty good against bots. It's the king of bot crowd control as long as you kepp moving and as soon as you get used to how to control the spread of the beams. You can actually get into close range with bots after clearing out the really big guys from range with stratagems, because everything other than Hulks, Tanks or Factory Striders will get stunlocked until it drops dead. You can stunlock whole drops of chaf and Devastators. It can take out a group of chaf with 3-5 shots and a single Devastator with 2-3 well placed hits close up and 3-5 at max weapon range (all while stunning the other 3 Devastators next to it at the same time). Don't go for Heatsinks, go for heads and torso weakpoints. Struggles to damage Sriders but stuns them reliably, and does shit against Hulks and above, but for that you got stratagems.
Slugger is not bad against bots but you need to land headshots. It was way better before that massive nerf it had.
i cant see the Breaker incendiary not getting nerfed knowing most fire damage was ramped up due to a bug but maaan i really hope they dont nerf it, i liked it even before the buffs and seeing it get killed would hurt also hi hi hiii thicc hiiiiiiiii :3:3:3:3

Dot dmg isn't even that high, you have to go out of your way to stop shooting bugs before they die if you actually want to see it do anything. Literally everyone uses it like a breaker anyway lol

@DanielLazzara yeah, the fire dot really only matters against hive guards and brood commanders. The smaller bugs die so fast. The fire is also great against a charger if you break their leg armor first.
Expect recoil increase and magazine reduced.
The ergonomics of the tenderizer are excellent it feels so good to shoot unfortunately damage is blah

I was honestly surprised that the incidiary breaker did so well against bots when i forgot to switch.
If they don't want to damage buff the ARs, they should make ALL the ARs mag less (no reload). All ARs would have a max ammo of 240-320. This would make the class differ from other classes and appeal to those who like to spray and pray. To have the ARs differ from each other, they could use spread, recoil, armor pen etc.
Good idea to mix up tier names and stuff so the devs cant just skip to the end and decide which guns need more nerfing
Arrowhead watching for what weapons to nerf
I was running the Pummeller, Senator with frag grenades and the Recoilless, got a Bile Spewer map and found out that it's a decent combo to stun a Bile Spewer then switch to the Senator and dump 2-3 shots into their head while they are stunned. It's far from the best way to take them out but if you find yourself caught with this type of loadout then it works better than wasting a rocket on a Bile Spewer when there are 3 more waiting to get a chance to attack you.
Crossbow notes: it can still kill scout strider pilots very easily, gives it a slight bump against bots because it can deal with scouts and devs (on head shots). More importantly, I heard that the explosion damage is currently bugged. Explosions are supposed to be at least med pen but apparently the xbow explosion is light pen. Hopefully this gets fixed soon. This info probably doesn't affect it's tier much though, and the important part is it's use as a stealth weapon since you can make enemies move where you want to follow the explosion
If its explosion pen is bugged, that explains why its so bad at killing hive guards.
I've been loving Blitzer and spear for bugs as the Blitzer covers mid and small enemies and spear gets the titans and chargers if you stun them
Woah woah woah, i have always been a staunch supporter of the liberator concussive against bugs. It will clear you out breathing room, it will clear room for your teammates, it will stop brood commander charges and keep stalkers off your back. It deserves way more respect

Sad for the eruptor, it used to be S-tier before the shrapnel and explosive ultra-nerf but, only in the hands of someone that knows how to fire it without killing friends and themselves.

I had 50 hours playing the eruptor before the new patch, level 105. It was my favourite gun in the game. It is straight ass now unfortunately.

Defender + ballistic shield + grenade pistol is my fav combo for bots. May not be the strongest, but its so much fun to sturm the base after you cleared everything big with AMR.
I’ve been having fun with the Pummeler on Bots with the Ballistic Shield. It hard counters the shield bots and just about takes care of everything below a Hulk/Tank. The main weakness is the rocket bots. Nothing you can do there but run or destroy quickly.
As a casual Eruptor enjoyer, I can tell you why you'd bring it instead of something like the AC or GP, unlike the AC it doesn't take a backpack slot, so you could say run the drone for trash mob clearing and have either the flamethrower or the Stalwart for when you need to quickly clear. Now why its better than the GP, short answer is... range you can close bug holes from 100m out if your a good shot and if you're not a good shot unlike with the GP you still got a few more attempts at making the shot before a reload. The principle also applies to fabs as well and arguably its far easier to use on them, since you really don't need elevation to "arch" it in like you do with the bug holes sometimes and it can (or at least it used to haven't tested this part recently) pop most of the bots with a head shot which is way easier to do at range with them and you have a little bit of wiggle room since it doesn't have to land dead on for the shot to count just gotta be "close enough". My only gripe with the gun before the nerf was with the model of it, like why would you model the bolt to be in front of the chamber? In terms of physics it makes zero sense and technically the gun shouldn't even be able to cycle let alone fire, but that is just the gun nerd in me questioning things and I just decided to chalk it up to Super Earth space magic.

I think it's cool that it allows you to get creative with you secondary and support weapons. Having Eruptor in the game soft buffs things like stalwart and laser cannon. That said, I'm gonna try playing with it exclusively for a day to determine what it needs. Somebody in the discord suggested they give it back the shrapnel, but make it "erupt" in a cone behind the projectile.
I know that it was also able to destroy rogue broadcast towers before the nerf, don't know if it still can.

I’ve been anticipating someone to finally make a video like this, this is a really good video. It shows off that no weapon is great, but if paired up with other weapons you cover the disadvantages. I usually always run the recoiless rifle with some sort of DMR. Because most of the time I keep a distance so that I’m not getting shot at while I’m reloading the launcher, and because I want something with a scope. Recently switched off to the new assault rifle not only because I want it to be good. But also because it’s super accurate. Anyway, great video
I'd still bring eruptor for bugholes for 2 reasons: Firstly minimal bullet drop meaning you can snipe bugholes from quite a distance away (notably across the far end of a large nest so you can circle the perimeter to clear out everything without ever needing to step inside), secondly a lot more ammo than the grenade pistol meaning it actually has enough ammo to clear out a large nest (and the nade pistol also recovers far too few bullets from ammo, meaning it's often easier to just "respawn" to get ammo back after clearing 2 nests...). That and it being still technically viable to switch to for impromptu AoE makes it pair particularly well with the laser cannon, which handles single target and everything else outside of chargers/titans.
There is something that I want to point out with the AR-61 Tenderizer Assault Rifle from Polar Patriots War Bond, I do feel like this gun def needs a buff one way or another, and it is def a side-grade to the standard liberator. But something that no one has pointed out is it's OVERALL ammo count. You actually have about 35-45 more rounds before you run out of ammo, despite you haveing 10 less per mag. AND you have 10 mags instead of 7, so you have a little bit more ammo overall, AND the ammo lasts longer. The AR-61 Tenderizer has less recoil, better handling/accuracy, a little bit more averall ammo, and 3 more mags. In the context of being compared to the standard Liberator. I also like how it sounds. The ammo economy is also a little lacluster IMO, I scavenged a green box of ammo I found on the map, and it only gave the Tenderizer 2 out of 10 mags. Meaning if you are OUT of ammo, you need 5! Green ammo boxes from the map to be FULL -_- i'd call that bad ammo economy
Of course there are variations to how we kill bots/ bugs, faster reload speed at the cost of lower damage compared to the opposite getting a similar end result effect. The devs will just argue you need to use your strategems or support weopons to deal with enemies faster and the primary is the after thought for chaff clear. Even if our cooldowns are horrendous, they want us to just run around like a chicken with its head cut off I guess. Thats the arbitrary difficulty they love!

I am the "weird" type of player who runs 2 single targets guns on bots and still consistently get the most kill out of my team while still doing tasks. I use the CS for lighter enemies sich as normal bots and devastators and the AMR for the striders and hulks. Tanks and factory striders will be taken care of by 500kg or rail canon. the 4th stratagems is really up to what my mood is, can be shield generator backpack, rover, jump pack or cluster bomb
At the Eruptor, before the nerfs it was good at wiping out groups with good AOE and AOE staggering groups of enemies and killing most medium armor enemies on both bot and bug fronts in 1-2 shots. And what they would do is take the Stalwart or HM40 and use that as their primary weapon and used their Eruptor as the support weapon. But after the nerf, they massively reduced the AOE damage and AOE stagger so it doesnt clap cheeks of groups of enemies and it doesnt even 1-shot enemies it used to 1shot anymore. It takes 2-3 shots to kill every enemy it used to 1-shot, and with its significantly reduced mag cap and slow firing rate, its not good at fighting anything. In any instance you would take the Eruptor, you should take the Dominator instead and just pair it with the Grenade pistol.
About 10 min in and Thicc saying "people are quick to call this warbond bad" bro it is bad. 1 gun and a good grenade does not save 2 of the worst guns in the game rn Tenderizer is a side grade- that's being generous when statistically its an objectively weaker liberator. I've not tested the shotgun but everything I've heard and seen makes it sound like ass. That being said enjoying the list so far!
It has a good primary, grenade, and secondary. Every warbond launched with half the stuff bad. Pummeler is legit a top weapon but it's just not exciting since it's a ballistic and the reason it's good takes some thought behind it rather than oonga boonga
In its current state democratic detonations primary’s and grenade are average or bad, the grenade pistol is the only weapon there that I would consider good. I don’t necessarily disagree with people saying polar patriots is the worst warbond right now but I think it’s disingenuous to ignore detonations faults too

Patriots has ONE terrible weapon. One average side grade of an assault rifle, one great weapon, one solid side grade secondary, and one good grenade. The problem is that nothing is flashy, stands out, or occupies a new niche. The main problem is that it is boring.... Not that it has mostly terrible weapons. But most KZheadrs are saying it's bad and most people just listen to them, adopt their opinions, and don't actually try the weapons for more than a mission, if at all. And many people just look at the numbers to determine if a weapon will be bad when the stats don't show things like ergonomics, projectile travel speed, scope types, fire modes, and more. Plus, most content creators play on the highest difficulty and that level of optimization just isn't necessary on any difficulty below 7. I know, for a lot of people, common practice (among people who watch content) is to just emulate what the best players do but it simply isn't necessary for a large part of the player base.
Eh once you’ve hit lvl 50+ you play on helldive cause everything else is so easy, DD was sadly gutted, PP isn’t a horrible warbond though but i’d agree it’s boring and the unique weapon isn’t great

Im SOOOO torn between blitzer and punisher plasma. I have been using them both since the eruptor nerf and they both slap. The blitzer in general I think is better, but its so close range. It conflicts with my playstyle since I like to use the jump pack and shoot down from on high. The plasma is amazing too, and longer range, but I dont think it kills as much as quickly... and having to worry about ammo is a drag.
What the heck have they done?! I haven't played in a week or so. My eruptor sucks now and difficulty seems to have been really ramped up? Not much fun right now!

bot Blitzer enjoyer. works nice with AC or AMR/jumpack. good trench weapon, no reloads, staggers even heavy devs if you hit their shield, can one tap berserkers if you ads their face. and one taps all the infantry bots.

@@NopeAce631 How would a shield pack be more risky? Lol and not required but on difficulty 9 it certainly does help. I use democracy protects perk so I don't have to have it but i try going for 0 deaths each run so it helps a lot. I mix up my stratagem fairly often anyways, keeps the game fresh
one thing that wasn't mentioned about base punisher and slugger is the sustain: you can shoot both weapons and reload after every shot without losing out on firerate, essentially making them have one big "mag" you can fire until you're completely out of ammo
sometimes its not the weapon that is bad, sometimes its how you use it. i hope this style of list becomes more common, get people to think about how primaries, secondaries, supports, grenades, and other strats all play off each other. sometimes you just need to utilize in a different manner instead of trying to pound a square peg into a round hole.
I was about to say unless this dude is trolling the blitzer should be a LOT higher up the list. But maybe it's just how I use it and this dude hasn't played the game that long.
The slugger one-taps devastator heads, and 4-taps Hulk heads. It kills all trash units in one shot, and even damages the rear of tank vents when needed. It's probably the best, or second best primary for bots if you can, like, aim--and you talk about two/three taps with other weapons all the time. I don't understand your thought process with this.
It does not 4 tap hulk heads or else all med pen weapons would also do that Also the diligence counter sniper, dominator, and others all do this better. Dominator staggers everything when you miss the head

Ive been running with the same loadout for the past week and I love it. Liberator - really solid mob clear and the last damage buff just makes it feel so good. Senator - really good to just whip out and dump 5 rounds into medium armor and then speed reload. Really helps with enemies the liberator can't pen. Most of them will die with 5 ish head/body shots and then you can just speed reload and switch back. Qwaser cannon - even with the nerf, its very handy to switch to and take out a charger or assist with other heavy armor kills. The whole loadout is just so flexible. Youre wiping mobs with your primary and then switching to secondary or power weapon to handle specific armored enemies. The only strategem I always bring with this loadout is the orbital precision strike. With the upgrades, it one shots everything you need it too on a 90 second cooldown. Extremely reliable and consistent. I usually bring impact grenades to handle spitters but the only weakness I sometimes feel with this set up is closing holes. So i run the extra grenades armor and then you can close 6 holes plus 1 with your qwaser and more depening on your strategems. TL/DR its practically the starting loadout but its the swiss army knife for bug missions and still holds up for bots. [But i usually run other set ups for bots]

Most underrated weapon is hands down the quasar cannon. It’s so underrated that it seems to still be the only support weapon people use even after the nerf despite having so many better options for bugs and bots.

Pre-patches my go to loadout for the bots was Eruptor + AMR + Stun grenade because i could do "ranged clearing". if a group of bots were huddled together I clear out the small ones with eruptor and snipe the Mediums and Hulks with the AMR. For Beserkers I could use the AMR as a "shotgun" if they got too close, or stun them to give me distance. I'd use the AMR and Eruptor on the gunships as well. But now that they removed the shrapnel, reduced the radius of the explosion, its downsides of slow reload, reduced fire rate, make it feel awkward and frustrating choice to bring on missions. Also, the patch reducing the explosion damage to walkers/striders made it worse because i could kill 2-3 simultaneously with one bullet by shooting the ground near them. It could rival other explosive primaries like scorcher or plasma punisher, but not now.
This is just my opinions Tenderizer: Really good for bots to be an allrounder, definitely if youre using more as a markman weapon or a longer range rifle Adjudicator: is pretty decent at both but it more excels against bots more than bugs so if you need, you can panic spray a devistator. With the Markman rifles i tend to agree mostly. There are better options for some situations but they are an over all nice choice. Defender and Pummeler: I think the pummeler is more of a side grade for the defender and both are really solid choices for the objectives where you need to carry things and mid range combat mostly. The stagger helps with horde control against bugs. Explosive crossbow: I think its more of a deal damage to blow a limb off option for weaker enemies, but i can really use it too well. It is fun. Eruptor: Agreed for bugs, but bots its good for a sniper shot to take out bot heads if you need it to. The plasma weapons: I think all the plasma weapons are good at certain things, For example, the scorcher is great at targeting enemies with armor while the punisher is better at taking groups more, The purifier is more meant to take out enemies from a long to medium range with a decent burst to either disable or eliminate. Blitzer: Amazing add clear and really good against bots due to its rate of fire tuning. It does wonders against the enemies that get too close. Sickle: Its a good all rounder with how it works and if you can manage your heat, its amazing for long term engagements with out really running out of ammo. Plus it makes it feel like youre playing starwars when fighting bots.
One advantage of the Tenderizer against Bots is that you can take single shots with it set to Automatic. That means you can both snipe heads and clear groups without having to switch. I still doubt I'll ever use it again, just thought I should mention that.
If it gets buffed it'll be great
So for the liberator and liberator penetrator, for bots, switching them to single fire, is a complete game changer and something you may want to consider trying out. By no means does it make the guns superior to other options available, but early game, when all you have is the liberator, its a solid tactic to be more accurate and land headshots, while also conserving ammo.

For the crossbow they actually swapped the values with the nerf. So that along side the AoE nerf is why it doesn't do good clear anymore. Personally I don't want a swap back. I want a better reload and/or more direct damage. It's meant to be a single target clear now esp with that increased stagger. So that's the direction it should go. Also, many weapons in this game are considered quiet, that's not an advantage unique to CB. You can fire even an Autocannon relatively close to enemies and they won't care because the sound is tied to where the shot explodes and not the gun itself. I find the situation of the Purifier to be pretty interesting. given the decent splash radius and it's damage it could've been used in the same situation the Scorcher is currently in. But because they buffed the scorcher's projectile speed among other things it just takes that slot automatically. If you consider how other weapons in the newest warbond have been handled it starts to paint a not so great picture that the design team and balance team are really not on the same page. Other than those comments though great video. I really like that you emphasized loadouts as well as engagement distances. These are things not a lot of people give attention to and very much matter. Basically as important as people make TTK and mag size out to be.
I swear, if somebody touches my Breaker Incendiary, I will be so mad. Nothing beats the glorious feeling that thing brings paired with Flamethrower and personal shield, supported by the glorious Eagle-1's Napalm and 500KGs of tough love. Honestly I feel like the purifier is more like the eruptor than the scorcher or plasma punisher Slow firing, decent explosive radius but not enough for crowds, and - after the removal of shrapnel - it deals way too little damage

I play against bots almost exclusively, and the scythe is tremendously underrated There are moments where I'll simply sweep it along a line of trash bought heads and just watch them all drop in one sweep.... Also hitting shots at long range is just a breeze
It is insane damage wise right now. I truly think the scope is the only thing holding it back, I hate that scope so much.
People don't know that stalwart and spray and prey is just really good in both enemy
I love the counter sniper against bots because it can do everything the autocannon does, just slower. That means i get to bring the Recoilless Rifle and shoot down dropships.

Blitzer is a god teir weapon with bugs. Only thing you need fear are stalkers, chargers and titans. Stalkers go down, staggered but take 3-6 hits. The other two, thats for expendable anti tank.

Hey! :) Thank you for taking the time to do this entire testing series and video. I have some new stuff I wanna try on both factions, mostly agree with everything here. I do hope our marksman rifles, assault rifles and some of the underperforming weapons in the new warbond. Something I am currently testing and am wondering on thoughts on is the new impact incendiary grenade with it's break points, and also if the fire left on the ground doesn't last as long as the regular incendiary from steeled veterans. It does seem like enemies that walk on ground fire don't light up right now, but helldivers do which is kinda weird.

i really hope a developer at arrowhead sees this video. youve actually taken the time to test every weapon and look for its place in the world. as someone who experiments and enjoys build crafting, i have done this same leg work sans making a video about it. but i appreciate you using your platform to get this POSITIVE feedback out there for others to see. there has been so much hostility towards the content lately and most of it is unwarranted as well as demoralizing to arrowhead. it's great to see someone appreciating all of the varied and fun weapons we have. i myself love a lot of under-appreciated guns due to discovering synergies with other gear. i think a lot of players get comfortable w specific gear and when they change out their primaries, they are not mixing up the rest of their gear and therefore miss out on discovering the synergies between great kit combos. def gave you a like on this one. please, more positive-forward content. let's show arrowhead our appreciation for all of their hard work.
There's no reason why the pummeler should have more concussive stunning ability than the liberator as an smg. Please buff the concussive liberator

Defender my beloved! Ever since i unlocked the ballistic shield, its been my go-to combo for Bot Busting. Helped me hold my ground against patrols more than once.
One important thing I realized when it comes to balance is that it's a terrible idea to nerf what a gun is good at as that just makes all weapons more the same, it's better to make it even worse at what it's bad at and the same for buffs, it's better to make it even better at what it's good at then to get rid of downsides.
I'm curious what load out and strategems do you reccomend for someone who just wants to main Anti Material Rifle every mission Every Faction Ride or Die just because I like the Sniper Aesthetic but want to be self sufficent and not trolling my teams on helldive.
Please note that after the next patch any gun that is good will be bottom tier, nothing will be buffed. You will shoot the bugs and bots with bb guns and you will be HAPPY ABOUT IT
