  • Lawyer refers to his client's "non-threatening harassment." Judge laughs out loud.

    @FreyaTait@FreyaTait18 күн бұрын
    • It's ridiculous, but it was also an admission that his client was indeed harassing her. So it was a doubly-stupid statement to make.

  • The judge is obviously smarter than most. He tends to focus exclusively on the person in front of him. This is bad for the accused, because he can discern truth from lies very quickly, and he is impatient with BS. It is exceedingly difficult to manipulate a person like that. Most criminals have learned that if they lie, or are obnoxious, they can get concessions and leniency. Not with this judge!

  • Love that he's willing to work with the guy to see his daughter, and understood that the harassment was only regarding that incident. I truly believe this lesson will "stick" better because they're working with him to help teach him how to behave. I love that this judge does his job clearly to benefit people for the long haul.

We don't know the circumstances...and she absolutely can be manipulating the situation. I am impressed at the court finding an answer here...even for case #1.

    • @@warriorpitbull1170 This is every bit as true as the previous statement. I've seen so many mothers who just want the child support and want the father to go away.

      @carolesmith4864@carolesmith486418 күн бұрын
    • I have totally seen the mother being useless but... I don't feel like this is the case here. If it wasn't his first time, I'd be more doubtful, but given that it's (at least) his second time... I wouldn't want him around my cat, let alone a child.

      @scotthurr5925@scotthurr592517 күн бұрын
    • @@warriorpitbull1170 No. A man that wants to speak to his child will not harass the mother to the point that the court has to sanction him, but rather go through the guidelines set forth by the judge. That way the child is not traumatized by adult mess, and is protected. This man is unhinged and cares more about stalking the mother, than he is about seeing the child. His custody rights are what he is using as a reason to contact the mother. This is not a case of a man done wrong. His initial case is his STALKING of the mother. Men who love their children follow the rules to spare their children any trauma. I admit that there are a lot of men done dirty when it comes to child custody and care, it is apparent. But calling someone repeatedly to the point that the court has to stop you, will NOT get you the end result you need. It is childish and unhinged.

  • In a case like this it should be on the mother. This guy should be given a time window when he will receive a facetime call from his child. The mother should ensure that happens, no excuses. If however he does not pick up when called, that is on him and he misses that chance. Having a no contact and then requiring him to make contact is silly. He shouldn't be in a position of initiating contact unless the child has their own phone, tablet, or computer to receive the call directly. I want to see the parenting order. If it is something crazy like '15 minutes from 7:00 to 7:15', then I could see why he would keep trying to call until he go through because you know the mom will cut it off at 7:15 on the dot.
