My headcanon: Ike was strolling through Daein where he saw the occupation being dicks so he decided to oust the army on his own and free the people of Daein. Then, realizing his people needed him, Ike gained to power of flight and went off to quell Crimea's rebellion. Act 3 happens more or less the same, only Ike uses his newfound flight to fight on both sides of the war to prolong the fighting. Ike fights an illustratory shadow double of himself that represents his inner lust for war. He prevails over his inner demons and resolves to fight for his friends, never against them. After freeing Yune and finding out they must reach the Tower of Guidance, Ike single-handedly secures all three routes to the Tower. Finally, Ike storms the Tower on his own, fighting for his friends to save the day. The End.
