@J Calhoun Do you think they do it "on the fly"? They had a bunch of people checking what's going on, and sience "Walky talkys" aren't expensive, you can do that stuff. And he is a driver that can control his car, the typical average guy can't do that, when they're on the phone they are twice the danger than a well prepared team and a race driver.

A bit crazy, but I saw your news story that you had spotters, etc. Although to some it may look reckless, I think you took pretty good precautions. Of course, a 100% closed course would have been the only truly safe way to do this. Maybe I missed something, but the only "damage" to city property that I saw was some ripped up ice plant. I think the ice plant will survive just fine. Great job on the Bug mods, and great driving... looked like a blast!

Great driving man, I use to work on bugs and sand rails when I was a teenager but never one like that. I do Nissans and would love to have a rear engine / extreme travel setup. What was the cost? What transaxle are u using? Much better than the bus right? What is the overall weight and tire size 35 or 37? I love it killer build, it will go more places than a truck!

Well , you thinking doesn't make anything legal or illegal . It really doesn't take that much to make a vehicle street legal. It's more legal than a lot of the race cars that are street legal and have tags. I didn't notice if his has a tag or not.... edit: He has a tag in the back window , so in the state he has it registered in it is street legal OR he is using a plate to appear legal , but if that is the case that is a lot more charges and punishments so I would imagine he was smart enough to not do that and the tag does belong to the car
