American mercenaries, hired by the UAE to kill in Yemen, have spoken candidly on camera for the first time in an investigation by BBC Arabic.
At a time when Houthi attacks on Red Sea shipping have highlighted the international dimensions of the Yemeni conflict, the investigation also reveals how US mercenaries trained Emirati officers to kill the UAE’s political enemies in Yemen.
These extra-judicial killings, conducted in the name of counter-terrorism, started in 2015 and continue to this day.

I believe the UN classifies them as "soldiers of fortune", so they are technically equivalent. Hell mercenaries can even be state sponsored (even though not publicly), so they are fairly equivalent. Still, one important difference is that they don't have the same benefits as soldiers if they are ever captured, and lack legal protection, and even worse, their movements, actions and judgements are based on individual beliefs rather than tactical or strategic objectives, there is still a very significant difference between a contract soldier and a merc.

The influence of the UAE extends across the region, stretching from Yemen to Libya. The primary concern is not simply the UAE's status as a key ally to the US and UK, but rather the perpetration of illegal activities with tacit approval from the US. It is apparent that the US often invokes the banner of human rights for strategic political reasons rather than a genuine concern for human rights.

UAE 🇦🇪 DP World is also nuts about building ports everywhere.
My children came to adulthood understanding our country's domestic and foreign hypocrisies. No need for them to also spend years in denial, then disillusionment.
This is the reality of how the current world order is maintained. In the practical world of international politics, who lives or dies is a rationalization of numbers of people and "the end justifies the means."

That's how militaries are trained. It's basic brain-washing in a way. You're supposed to dehumanize your "enemies" to stop you from hesitating, questioning, and give you moral high ground. And terrorist groups absolutely do it the other way around
That’s messed up that the 18yr old son of a human rights lawyer was killed. Clearly the UAE wanted to send a message to those who would call them out for human rights abuses. On another note, I’m appalled that I actually found the spear soldier to be charming, the one with the big jaw. If I met him in person I would like him, but it’s disturbing how easily he brushes off the death of innocents. It’s chilling really.
All (UK/USA/EU/Australia )tax 💰 money Plundered Gobbled Up by Criminals Politicians using Fake 🤥 👿 🤥 Wars, Weapons,Missiles,Radar, Tank for Ukraine, Israel against Iran , Iraq Syria, Somalia, Yemen, Palestine, Afghanistan etc and after Destruction, They all come as Refugees Costing UK EU More for Housing, food, bill 💸💵💰💵💰. Is that why you like him? Don't answer that. It is obvious
Clearly a fan of the BBC....... documentaries.... 🙄
What innocents?
@@outlawevangelist I'd guess she's talking of the Son of the lawyer?
If this is true, why are these guys allowed to talk about it publicly?
Location and source is unknown.. It can happen to any region..
No BS ,you never speak about the client or the target let alone do an interview about it
I was wondering about that
The guy who talks slowly is really scary. I can feel he is a real killer.
You are surrounded by killers and just never notice it.
1.5 million per month where do i sign up
guy says he does his own due diligence then turns around and says who am i to question orders, im just a soldier. well wich is it?
If you were hired by someone and pointed toward a certain group of people, it means you have an assignment that blinds you to any fair judgement.
just for money
Yup, let's be honest, war has all of interest and not the well being of our civilians l.
"If you were hired by someone and pointed toward a certain group of people, it means you have an assignment that blinds you to any fair judgement." If you were raised as a religious fanatic that justifies the rape and murder of unarmed innocent people, it's fair to say they're blind to any fair judgement.
Yes until you are confronted with a terrorist then you will change your mind.
@@chiquitafeldberg8259 Exactly, I,do not trust 90% just out of experience
This is terrifying
Just outright Sicarios.
At one point he says ,,we do our own due diligence checks to make sure they are terrorists ,,then later ,,if UA tell me he is a terrorist, who am i to question my client
Everything streamed live now……..very interesting
The reality of this world is so disgusting and unbelievable.
There are far more things going on in this world than mere wars.
@@haimo14228 and what?
I have a feeling that these guys will never be safe...
They get a rush from the danger. That's why do it confused illiterate.
They shouldn’t be.
I recommend people watch Dale Comstock's Team House interview
7:20 "who am I to question" like... He just got done saying how they'd use their discretion
Ansaf Mayo's legitimate question: "What legal and moral justification" is there to send 'foreign mercenaries' to kill people in their own country? Why do they feel it's their duty and right to do that? Enough with your crimes, Evil Empire.
And OFCOURSE... the founder of this hit squad is "Abraham Golan" ... a J.
@@j.james-88 What does that have to do with anything? How many "A"s are founders of brutal terrorist "organizations"? You knut.
People like this have no concious.

I agree the UAE needs to be investigated
