  • The rooms match in this way: Fire / Explosion Room - Army Woman (fears explosions and fire after war) Reindeer / Ice Room - Antagonist (killed that other guy for a jacket in a cold place) Upside Down / Falling Room - Zoey (fear of falling from heights because of the plane crash) Hospital / Poison Room - Glasses Guy (carbon monoxide leak) Illusion / Hallucination Room - Ben (impaired driving, intoxicated) Crushing Room - Bigger Guy (survives a mine collapse) The Rudolph hint didn’t make the reindeer room Ben’s as that means the poison gas room would have also been Ben’s due to the sign language. They were just hints AIMED at Ben.

You'd only need a 1/4 of a pound since an empty 5 gallon water jug weighs 3/4 a pound, and a pound was the trigger weight since those glasses could not have been more than pint glasses and a pint is a pound the world around.

If you touch solid ice, the surface begins to melt, but then you have water between your skin and frozen ice, which refreezes the water, that's why people's fingers and tongues stick to things that are too cold and it's a good way to lose skin.

Cabin in the Woods was similar though it was more a jab at the cliches of the horror genre and the people who come to watch. In a way, both movies mean to exaggerate both situations because exaggeration and disingenuousness appeals to modern media. And it seems disingenuousness extends beyond media.

When the time ran out, no one had entered the room to let us out. And all of our "hint calls" were used up. So we had to escape ourselves. We kind of just guessed everything. And the room with the drug trip was meant to represent Ben's alcoholism and the fact that he was drunk when he got into that car accident. But obviously they couldn't force them to drink so drugs through contact was the next best thing/feeling lol.
