After Split revealed itself to be a stealth sequel to Unbreakable, and after Split made some money, M. Night came back to cap off the trilogy with an expectation-subverting hot mess of a movie that has some cool stuff but then also has LOTS of sins.
Next week: Some family friendly sins.
Remember, no movie is without sin! Which movie's sins should we expose next?!

    • Honestly this entire movie was a letdown except for James. Seamless transitions, menacing to dopey and docile presence and full control of his accents and mannerisms. I think he was the only one who actually put some effort into the damn thing compared to M. Night. Everything about the ending was a letdown. Sure, the final fight would have been cliché but could be brilliant if handled well. But nah, everyone’s gotta die because Shamalan can’t leave good things well enough alone.

    • I mean yeah this is a great comment- especially compared to the garbage on youtube- and he was just absolutely incredible in this movie, in fact my comment was going to be that he should take at least 25 sins off for James McAvoy performance but I don't know I mean I thought Samuel Jackson was pretty good too I even thought Sarah Paulson was good it's just in fact I really like this movie it's just I don't know this is probably the only CinemaSins video that rips up my movie that I liked that actually made me laugh that you know yeah he has some good points here and he's a little hard on it James McAvoy himself makes it watchable and I don't really like CinemaSins when they rip up awful movies like The Fast and the Furious franchise for example when they're the worst movies ever made but I don't know this is funny like you can't tell Bruce Willis still caring about his job that was f****** hilarious and there was another good ones but I don't know I mean he's a little rough on the movie I like it I don't care how I don't know I mean you know he's last one CinemaSins is KZhead speech and it kind of sucks but I don't know this was funny enough

I thought Samuel L Jackson was good I thought Sarah Paulson was good and of course James McAvoy he was incredible. And there were parts of the movie that were very good to Bruce Willis couldn't stand being there M Night Shyamalan made some major filming mistakes and it's just not an oscar-worthy movie. I mean McAvoy gets his respect and he'll get an Oscar Sunday but you can't get an Oscar for a piece of crap you know you ever hear the saying you can't polish a turd

  • "First name Mr. Last name Glass." Me: Roll credits! *ding*

    @PalZer0@PalZer05 жыл бұрын
  • When he says "First name MR. Last name GLASS" it's not a Roll Credits sin? Anyway, here are more sins I'd add: 1) There was practically no interaction between DAVID and ELIJAH. 2) It's revealed early on that JOSEPH and CASEY went to the same school. That's never addressed. Is this a way of showing that the characters are connected in more way than one? But the group of main characters is quite small and they all live in the same city. It's not that much of a stretch to find out that they've met each other. Hell, that's not even the case here. 2 characters happened to go to the same school. And not at the same time. 3) DARYL keeps flashing lights which causes the different personalities to appear. Why doesn't he just leave the room? And why do the personalities have to announce themselves every time they show up? Can't the personalities tell each other to not speak? Are they doing this in purpose to fuck with him? Because there doesn't seem to be a point to that. 4) ELIJAH says that a car backfired and he knew DARYL would arrive in 7 minutes. It can't be that accurate. Even if it was the right amount of time every single night, it's a short gap. He's talking too slowly and he's giving information that it isn't vital in this very moment. 5) ELIJAH and KEVIN get out of their rooms and make a lot of noise. Isn't there anyone else working there? The other nurse sees them and is merely surprised rather than scared out of his mind. Has he forgotten that they're murderers? He tells them to go back to their rooms like that was enough. Why doesn't he yell for help? 6) DAVID takes too much time locking the cops (for their safety) that KEVIN is already killing others. Wasn't the bar enough to prevent them from opening the gate? Did he have to bend it too? 7) Why did DAVID have to be the first of the 3 to die? Wouldn't it have been more powerful to have him die last? 8) After being shot, why doesn't CASEY tell THE HORDE to let THE BEAST out? Maybe that would've prevented him from dying or at least given him more time to cure him. 9) The whole point of UNBREAKABLE was to tell grounded everyday stories that just happened to involve people with superabilities. Revealing that such a cult exists goes against it. It's too far-farfetched for the world that's been set up. It's established that the comic books in this universe are the same ones that exist in real life. They've all existed? Even those who aren't human? Even those who acquire powers rather than those who are born with them? Why were comic book writers allowed to publish these secret stories? And why did they do it without claiming them to be true? DR. STAPLE was only able to capture DAVID and THE BEAST because she knew their weaknesses. What if there was no evidence of that? Before there were news media, how did they know what they were? What happened in cases like SUPERMAN where the weakness was something out of this world? 10) How did ELIJAH know JOSEPH's e-mail address? And CASEY, whom he didn't even know about?

    @VicenteTorresAliasVits@VicenteTorresAliasVits5 жыл бұрын
    • 11) In Unbreakable, DAVID was able to get out of water and move just fine. He simply couldn't swim and sank to the bottom. Why does water now weaken him? 12) So why doesn't rain weaken him as well?

Yes, I know that the chains were supposed to reflect David Dunn's super strength. Yes, I know that the room had the strobe lights to subdue The Horde. That doesn't change the fact that David Dunn is only suspected of multiple counts of vigilantism, assault, and murder. The Horde have confirmed instances of multiple kidnappings and cannibalism. There is also the whole multiple personality thing in which several of the identities are complicit and loyal to The Beast identity. If anyone should be physically bound, then it should be The Horde much more than David Dunn.
