Loma did not lose the bout to Lopez. He only lost 4 to 5 rounds. Loma is "giving" the 6th and 12th to Lopez just as a worst case scenario. The 12th really is hard to judge though... This notion should be obvious to anyone who knows boxing. Plus, he worked 3x more than Lopez even had to, due to size, reach and power, which in turn shows Loma's superiority and level. Also the injury... Loma is simply the superior boxer. it's a shame that he had to move up to 135lbs for career and purse goals. Because his opponents are all much bigger naturally and they simply come down to meet him and rehidrate. We are witnessing the best technical boxer ever and the majority of the population cannot even appreciate what he does. Shame...

I am big big fan of Loma, but in this fight against Lopez he really was not in his shoes. Really bad performance, gave for free first 6 rounds to Lopez, it was obvious he lost the fight by points, had to finish it with KO, but haven't done that. Clear loss to Loma.

You may not support loma but he holds the best amateur boxing career in history, he was a world champion in 3 weight classes and was previously labelled p4p king. @Aphorism V thanks for explaining at least but that really is just your opinion about amateur boxing. Experience means everything and not just in boxing. What I don’t get is if an amateur boxing career is meaningless in pro boxing then why did loma get a wbo world title shot for only his second pro fight against Salido? And I’m not talking about other gold medalist fighters I’m talking about the very best of them - lomachenko. When has loma ever been slapped around by anyone? You keep referring to the Salido fight, did Salido actually stop loma? No he couldn’t after trying so hard and using any dirty means possible. So with that said I guess that amateur career must have played well for loma in that respect, it being only his second pro fight which salido won off a split decision. Salido weighed in heavy and made it dirty especially with repeatedly low blows and all were completely ignored by the ref. And after the fight the ref admitted that he didn’t conduct the fight properly, what does that tell us?. As for Lopez outclassing loma? When ? How ? Did teo stop loma like a superstar? Did teo even dominate loma? Absolutely not, all he did was pressure loma and out of all the countless shots thrown by teo how many solid clean shots did teo land in all those rounds? Not many that’s for sure. The second half loma switches and demonstrates a completely dominating performance on teo landing countless clean calculated shots. Teo did well in the 12th that is true but apart from that when did teo truly outclass loma?. You clearly write loma off, And all I can say to that is let’s see what happens in the future shall we and then we can decide how he will be remembered.

The rounds Teo won nothing happened. Teo couldnt cut the ring off or land anything clean. The rounds Loma won, once he came forward, he beat Teo's behind. Spanked em like his daddy. 1st half went to Teo, and again he didnt do anything. 2nd half was Lomas, and he beat the breaks off of Teo. Loma proved even in a loss (given by crazy judges in Teo's backyard) that he is still the much better fighter. If Teo doesn't give Loma a rematch he shall forever be shamed. Loma gave Teo a chance now its time for Teo to return the favor. Is Teo still sleeping in bed with his daddy? Hahahaha

I think there should be fights for every belt just like you have to box to earn every belt but I guess for all the belts you have to box extra hard to keep them. Its like another level of world championship or the extra distance for the world champ, you could say "the ultimate level"

Teofimo may not be scared, but he is DEFINITELY concerned. Loma did nothing in the first 7 rounds and somehow forced Teofimo to dig deep. Teofimo's own words, so...

@aNHdusu I covered this before in other posts, but, yes, better go for the win in the first match instead of chasing an impossible rematch. That's how a boxer mindset should always be. Loma's team underestimated Teofimo and they paid the price for it. When you count your own points in the fight, always do minus 3 to make sure that you do the work and win most rounds.

You seem to forget that when Loma actually started trading with Lopez he was winning the vast majority of the exchanges and began to really confuse Lopez at various times. That’s what Lopez is afraid of, not Lomas first six rounds of defensive fighting.

Loma did not lose the bout to Lopez. He only lost 4 to 5 rounds. Loma is "giving" the 6th and 12th to Lopez just as a worst case scenario. The 12th really is hard to judge though... This notion should be obvious to anyone who knows boxing. Plus, he worked 3x more than Lopez even had to, due to size, reach and power, which in turn shows Loma's superiority and level. Also the injury... Loma is simply the superior boxer. it's a shame that he had to move up to 135lbs for career and purse goals. Because his opponents are all much bigger naturally and they simply come down to meet him and rehidrate. We are witnessing the best technical boxer ever and the majority of the population cannot even appreciate what he does. Shame...

I am big big fan of Loma, but in this fight against Lopez he really was not in his shoes. Really bad performance, gave for free first 6 rounds to Lopez, it was obvious he lost the fight by points, had to finish it with KO, but haven't done that. Clear loss to Loma.

You may not support loma but he holds the best amateur boxing career in history, he was a world champion in 3 weight classes and was previously labelled p4p king. What I don’t get is if an amateur boxing career is meaningless in pro boxing then why did loma get a wbo world title shot for only his second pro fight against Salido? And I’m not talking about other gold medalist fighters I’m talking about the very best of them - lomachenko. When has loma ever been slapped around by anyone? You keep referring to the Salido fight, did Salido actually stop loma? No he couldn’t after trying so hard and using any dirty means possible. So with that said I guess that amateur career must have played well for loma in that respect, it being only his second pro fight which salido won off a split decision. Salido weighed in heavy and made it dirty especially with repeatedly low blows and all were completely ignored by the ref. And after the fight the ref admitted that he didn’t conduct the fight properly, what does that tell us?. As for Lopez outclassing loma? When ? How ? Did teo stop loma like a superstar? Did teo even dominate loma? Absolutely not, all he did was pressure loma and out of all the countless shots thrown by teo how many solid clean shots did teo land in all those rounds? Not many that’s for sure. The second half loma switches and demonstrates a completely dominating performance on teo landing countless clean calculated shots. Teo did well in the 12th that is true but apart from that when did teo truly outclass loma?. You clearly write loma off, And all I can say to that is let’s see what happens in the future shall we and then we can decide how he will be remembered.

The rounds Teo won nothing happened. Teo couldnt cut the ring off or land anything clean. The rounds Loma won, once he came forward, he beat Teo's behind. Spanked em like his daddy. 1st half went to Teo, and again he didnt do anything. 2nd half was Lomas, and he beat the breaks off of Teo. Loma proved even in a loss (given by crazy judges in Teo's backyard) that he is still the much better fighter. If Teo doesn't give Loma a rematch he shall forever be shamed. I think there should be fights for every belt just like you have to box to earn every belt but I guess for all the belts you have to box extra hard to keep them. Its like another level of world championship or the extra distance for the world champ, you could say "the ultimate level"

@aNHdusu I covered this before in other posts, but, yes, better go for the win in the first match instead of chasing an impossible rematch. That's how a boxer mindset should always be. Loma's team underestimated Teofimo and they paid the price for it. When you count your own points in the fight, always do minus 3 to make sure that you do the work and win most rounds.

You seem to forget that when Loma actually started trading with Lopez he was winning the vast majority of the exchanges and began to really confuse Lopez at various times. That’s what Lopez is afraid of, not Lomas first six rounds of defensive fighting.
