Ben Whittaker has been embarrassing his opponents in his pro career. Is he legit or will he get found out? He is like the second coming of Prince Naseem and Emanuel Augustus - the drunken master.

  • Did you like Prince Naseem, Ali, Calzaghe, Roy Jones Jr, any of these, and many others, who displayed superior boxing skills and turned showboating into a fine art? Everybody loves to hate a show off. But, circus act or not, I Wish Ben Whittaker the best of luck. Some way to go yet but I see him dominating his weight class in years to come. Of course he'll find out the hard way, one day, when someone catches him proper, and that's when I will be able to decide for myself whether or not he's the real deal.

    • I'm not impressed and I'm in the cage several times a week and the mat. He is in the cherry picking phase and his opponents have a combined record of 52-30-8. All promoters use this tactic of building fighter rankings and attention nothing to see here at this point. When he has that step up fight with top talent then we shall see. Prince Naseem found out and didn't fight again. 😂 Wayyy too early to tell.

Promoters do not make fights with fighters their fighter can't beat when they are starting off. You should study the fight game better. It's too early to determine anything with this guy. He has literally fought opponents he 100% out matched this early in his career.

But this champ, was from my home state, Michigan. I believe his name was Burton, out of Muskegon or Benton Harbor. Away Augustus beat the breakshoes off this champ. Even dropped him. They str8 up robbed Augustus for that Title. I've viewed boxing in a different light every since. I'm going to pull this fight up on KZhead. The champion was named Emmanuel Burton I believe...

What gets me is his speed but he knows exactly where he needs to look to tell what kind of punch is coming. He makes them look like fools. It gives them a chance to survive longer though or this guy would just be knocking them out first round every fight he’s got some good power.

But since all people want to do is be distracted, no one sees that what this very talented boxer is doing is actually very wrong. Once again, proof that the world of combat sports ignores the essence of combat shines without anyone seeing it. How sad!
