Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. This little axe I found at flea market. I like this little hatchet. It's pretty well for outdoor or bushcraft. I want to test it at outdoor. After I saw this axe I immediately figured out what kind of handle I would make for it. Well, restoration time has come!
Restoration process: I used rust remover liquid to removed dirty, rust and so on from the axe head. Then I used sand papers and file to clean and correct the axe shape. I chose walnut wood for the handle. I like it when I don't use power tools in my work but sometimes it takes a long time, but I like it. Well for handle I also used two components paint and my special wood finish stuff. If you're interested you can check it at my channel, I recorded that video one week ago.
Finally, I sharpened the axe and made the test for you as usual.
Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention!
Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!

Thank you so much!
@@ScrewsAndTools No problem my Georgian friend, I love your videos Alex..keep up the good work..please take care..Allan..Beep Beep
Absolutely! Thanks for the feedback!
This little hatchet turned out really nice. I have one of similar size and shape that I need to re-handle. I liked seeing you use all the hand tools. Chisels, spoke shave’s planes and etc. Good job...
Just woke up from a nightmare...n this video help me calm down. Love it.
Ima have nightmares for weeks after watching it
Nice job
great work, love the handle, only issue i have with this is you used epoxy to hold the axe head to the handle. wood glue and a wedge would have worked just fine. using the epoxy is just going to make getting the handle off very difficult if the handle were to crack or split and you needed to make a new handle.
Hand made projects are the most satisfying. Great job brother. Thanks for the video.
I love the whole project, especially the handle and the color!
What a craftsman! 95% of the work done by hand and eye with minimal use of machinery. This guy is a REAL craftsman. Easily one of the best videos of this type I have seen.
Sweet! Now you gotta do is make a leather belt holder for it, and you got your perfect zombie apocalypse weapon!
this was probably the most standard axe you have ever restored. keep up the good work!
This is probably my favorite axe restoration you’ve done! Such a cute little axe, lol it’s been awhile since I’ve wanted another axe but that one is just too nice lol
Lol 🤦♂️

You are a public servant my man. As good as always. You are one of the best doing this out there.
Thank you Cory!! ^_^
Thank you for sharing this instructional video with greast craftsmanship. Very infomrative and nice to see your use of PPE: smart. I too like flea market / garage sale axe finds and limit my purchases to no more than $3, then start the restoration. Loads of fun! Thanks again and I am a new subscriber.
Thank you so much sir, best wishes!
A great improvement. Thank You for posting this.
The axe came out beautiful!

That’s a sharp looking axe. Pun intended. Great work.
Awesome work!! 👏👍
hardly any power tools(except for the sander), or what other folks like to call old school, or my way of seeing it...gibbs style, or just plain working with your hands gives it a more personal touch..i.just love this video
Great work sir! I love rhos3axe, I need this axe! Keep going 👍⚒

Nice work on the axe, was there something specific about the handle shape that you were trying to make. Thanks for sharing this video with us and please keep them coming in.
Great job brother, but in the next time can you make an iron with his original form?

Very nice, hello from Australia
Nice job.
Nice work and you should toss in more dance moves!
Great Job. The new handle really defined the ax. I do projects like this and was wondering what liquid do use for rust removal? Seems to work better than anything Ive seen. Thanks for the enjoyable video.
I use cheap rust remover, name is "yeetis" in yellow plastic bottle (550ml and 2L)
Nice job, good video!
NEVER been so early on an amazing Video! And first to comment! Nice handle!

Cool bushcraft axe :)
I like it👍🏾.
Buen trabajo en el hacha 👏.
Really good job. Love it! But just one question. Nothing serious but, can you call this a full restoration when you make a whole new handle for it? Wouldn't be considered a modification at that point?
Um bom restauro
I enjoy the sounds of your speed carpentry 😆. ✨️🪓✨️👍
Really Cool Job! I like it. ;0)) Greetings from Bavaria
Super
Great work! But, why you paint the wood? Don't like the natural color of wood?
Terrific job. Liked and subscribed
Thank you so much sir!
Super👍
Bravooo
You must have enough axes for a whole army
Do you have any linseed oil?
I'd love to hide your files and make you use power tools. Lol. I can see you say "it's only noon. What do we do now?"
Looking good, but it's light and needs a different bevel on the cutting edge. It's too blunt.
Than you for attetnion!
Nice :)
We need to get you some hickory for your handles
Demorou a postar tava ansioso😁👍
How old tihs axe is 😊

Do you ever modify the axe head?
Looks like my Hudson bay axe
👍👍👍

Hello sir, it's very simple staff. It's hair dye. (4 components) because I mix 3 paint and one oxidant.
5:23 what type of wood you used?
Hello, I used ash tree.
What's in the paint? Just wondering... Also this one looked like 4 components... 4 different colored liquids or am I seeing things?
Hello sir, it's very simple staff. It's hair dye. (4 components) because I mix 3 paint and one oxidant.
@@ScrewsAndTools Ahh no kidding...hair dye eh? Clever lol
@@RNDM85 Honestly, this is the most common hair dye. The box contains paint and oxidizer.
@@ScrewsAndTools Cool!

117 dislike-rs are made of wood
Why do your neighbors get mad at the wood chopping but not the grinding when you are restoring the axe head
Because he grinds during the day when no one is sleeping and he tested the axe at night.

50 dolar'a satın alabilirim.
Are you russian or american
Good job👍
From Russia with love Отстой полнейший.
He never used a nice piece of wood.
