In bpd, "splitting" is like a defense mechanism by which people with bpd view others, events, or even themselves sometimes in all-or-nothing terms. For example a person can be either be "evil" or "angel". In short, when a person with bpd splits, it’s like "all or nothing" Thank you for asking :)
