  • As a 60 year old man who lost everything back in 2018 I became homeless , with nowhere to turn and no family to help me out . I don't do shelters here in NYC because they're the pits . Anyway, I'm not looking for anything from you or anyone else but all i do wanna say is that you are an awesome young man and whoever else helped in making this project. I hope Todd is feeling and doing well.I just subscribed to your channel as I was watching and listening to what you was saying . Brother , it's people like you , those involved in things like this is what makes this worth living . Thank you for looking out for those in need of shelter. May God bless you always 💯❤️🙏🏻😇😎✌️👍

    • @@buildersblueprint Thank you Manny for the most important thing that you're doing which helping those in need . Remember this and you can believe it , everytime you help someone , you get it back double. Regardless of my situation, I help others out and mind you I'm not only homeless but I'm homeless with diabetes , high blood pressure, high cholesterol and in need of a hip replacement since 2016 . So regardless of all that you wouldn't think I would help people but I do because it makes me feel happy . So do what you do because you love it not because of KZhead. You know what I'm saying ? Peace , love and much respect to you my brother 💯❤️🙏😇😎👍💪

He is on the streets trying to survive and I am sleeping wherever I can, so this is just an amazing thing you are doing for others!!! There needs to be more ppl like this in the world... • @@buildersblueprint God is with me through this. I was diagnosed twelve years ago with stage IV colon cancer and told I would be dead in two years or less. I've had three reoccurrences and have recently completed my latest treatment. Where I've beat it back again after being told I wouldn't make it this time again. God has given me this disease to demonstrate his grace and to go out and Bear witness and give my testimony. Praise Jesus that I can be used this way. I have been watching your videos today because this is what I want to do. Build me a trailer and travel around and witness. Mine has to be a little stronger frame wise because I need to bring a solar generator, dometic fridge/freezer composting toilet, a water reservoir.

I also noticed the out side latch should be able to disengage from the inside I'd some one tries to prank you, so it seems to be thought out. Unfortunately there is only so much a lock can do for something like this since some one determined can cut the bike lock and take whole thing.

  • Bless you for doing that... But decking wood? Solar ?! Todd's gonna be real fit soon ! I think what might have been better is if you'd actually spoken to a homeless charity first because I don't think he's going to use the battery or the propane. And that door "lock" isn't going to keep him safe. But you have thought about others and made something for them, and that is to be truly commended. Well done.

    • The trailer is extremely lightweight and very easy to pull with a bicycle. I spoke to Todd before making this video, and the man was literally living on the street with nothing to eat so this should help him get off the ground and hopefully give him some self-esteem to get a job and do better things with his life.

Also a good experience to donate would be a full wash cut and shave at the Sports Cut that's likely connected to the Walmart and maybe even a manicure at the salon that's probably connected too. Also if you do this again in a rainy climate, a better raincoat/poncho situation. Also tip- if you get them propane or similar stoves make sure they know to use them outside or get them an alcohol stove that can be used inside. Keep up the good work though, you guys are doing great things!

There's a gap at the top that will probably not be waterproof at all. Also, That latch does not look very secure at all. I also think that with every door needs a small latch on the inside for extra security while they are sleeping. I only want to make helpful suggestions. You and your wife and everybody helping out here are absolute angels for doing this. God bless you all.

  • I think if you're going to invest in a generator and solar panel, the vessel itself should be better constructed. Maybe better and/or stronger materials. I understand you want to go light, but maybe an electric assist bike and a more stable floor and frame. Maybe a shelve or two. And even with the washers, a few bumps and those metal screws are going to tear into those panels.

  • I like that you left a part open in the front for ventilation but I think it would be better if it hung over a little bit, it would also have been my choice for running the cord inside.. Have you watched paul elkins and his coraplast campers? I may have asked you that already

    @docink6175@docink6175 Жыл бұрын
    • The front part does overlap by 1 inch so water should not get in hopefully and I have not had a chance to watch Paul Elkins videos quite yet, but I will definitely check it out. Thanks for the recommendation.

    • @@buildersblueprint ok, it didnt look like it stuck over in the video.. Are the vents screened? I was thinking about this last night, Bikes break down a lot, wouldnt a 3wheeled push cart work better over the long run? Of course thats if the local law doesnt confiscate their mobile homes!

  • Big shout out to y’all for donating your time and expertise to make a life changing difference in these people’s life. Anyone who hasn’t been homeless probably would find it hard to see how huge what y’all do really is. That man’s quality of life just skyrocketed. when you live on the streets your safety, comfortability, health, and mental health decrease. It is literally exhausting you have no where you truly feel safe everything you own either has to go everywhere you go or stashed in a hiding spot that you just hope will stay hidden until you get back to it so you don’t loose everything you have. that bike, tiny home, items gives him a place to feel safe at night that keeps the elements bout transportation to and from work storage for his belongings a way to cook for and boil water and a sense of security that might just be enough to make it possible to have a healthy job and save enough to get a permanent place to call home it’s next to impossible get or hold down a job living in the streets for so many reasons. with all that being said i think it’s safe to say that his life just got 1,000 percent better and it’s all because two people decided that wanted to make a real difference in someone life and i am just going from homeless to living in a van and the little money i am able to make when i can has to go to slowly getting everything i need to make it seem less like a vehicle and more like a home. but when i get my can in l livable condition l will definitely support the go fund me i already have it bookmarked for when i can. what y’all are doing is absolutely amazing and i am excited to see how many lives y’all are going to change i’m willing to bet if you keep up with it y’all will surprise yourself with how many live you are able to better
