Thanks for this great video!! Say, can you tell me how these stack up against the Razer Kraken Pro V2's? The Kraken V2's have been my new "go to" pair of wired headphones because of the comfort, and nice sounding bass. May I ask how would you compare these to the Razers, and do you feel these are a better buy being that both pairs are close in price. I'd really like to know your opinion on that. Thanks for your input, and time.
Since I've been looking for something for mostly listening to music with some occasional gaming and voice chat I think I've found my choice. Excellent video and the mic sounds great, nice and clear.
Another recommendation would be the Game One, open back, great for music but they are a headset so they are also perfect for gaming. Ive also heard people say the HyperX Cloud 2 is another option. These are good but depends what your after i guess. For pure gaming you can't beat these at the price.

thanks, I almost picked up the Arctis 5 today when I was at Best Buy. I wanted to research and see the differences, there is also a store nearby that has the 7's as well which are wireless

Well Sennheiser is an audio company and they have been around for a long time, which have given them a very trustworthy reputation when it comes to sound. So it would be strange if these weren't up there in terms of sound quality.

I found the sennheiser 350 se headset uncomfortable, are these similar? Because i've been looking into the astro a40's aslo. My main priority with headsets is comfort
I've tried the hyper x alpha and the Sennheiser GSP 300 and I really recommend buying the Sennheiser it got a really great mic and you really can pinpoint enemies spots

Just bought this headset, but having problems. Mic won't work, I can't find it on Control Panel. The sound in the headset sometimes crackle/static sound bursts (it goes away and come back). I use Realtek Audio Manager and wondering if there's a driver i should download. I need answers, this is annoying me as hell.

GSP300 vs Astro a10 for PS4? Had the astro a10s for a week. Werent bad. But returned them and am waiting for the sennheiser GSP500. But my girlfriend would like a headset too. So im either gonna ge the a10s again for her. Or these. Leaning more towards these. I feel like the a10s were underpowered by the DS4 controller. Would probably be better with the mixamp. Any advice anyone? Also was looking into the revolver s.

i was just wondering does the headset also provides the acctual game sound? like when you're running do you hear the footsteps or if you turn on a radio in a game do you hear the music over the headset? because i'm playing on Xbox 360 and someone showed me a gaming headset where you can actaully hear the music over the headset so you can turn off you're volume of you're TV and still have the sound off the game over the headset i currently have the headset called Turtle Beach XL1 also i can decide how high i want the chat volume and the game volume or i can bassicly turn down the caht and open the game volume and vice versa and actually there is one downside on my headset though i needed to buy a almost rare cable with input like scart so a red and white cable i looked already at my Xbox one but unfortuanlly it doesn't have a input i need for it like the 360 does so i'm searching for a new one or a solution for this issue i found with my current headset for the xbox 360 and i really do want a headset witch provides me with the actual gaming sounds like walking or running or driving or shooting or just listen to the radio in the game i really don't care if it's wired to the console or not if i need to leave my room i ain't taking my headset with me what so ever so yeah that's basiclly it kind regard Michel de Jong PS sorry if my english is a bit wrong or strange i'm from holland and my keyboard is set to my own langue and so my keyboard does keep on saying i made a writing mistake so yeah

i have had one of these for 3 years now and it just only broke now the left era isnt playing audio but to be faired i have ABUSED these over the years dropped them in the floor, thrown them in the floor liked mine are nextgen abused but i held up for a long time. Definitely worth the money still. And they are like 70 dollars now if you buy em from Germany so these are still great

These, sennheiser brand is known for great or even amazing audio. I don't think you would regret buying these.
Hey hopefully you respond to me but I was wondering if I should get these mainly because I've heard alot of great stuff about these and non much cons. Ive heard that noice cancellation isn't the greatest so will that means that my friends will be able to hear my game and their voices through my own headset?
Jboy 1K these are great and it just means they don't block out as much noise around you but i think they do a very good job at that

Would you recommend these over the sennheiser game one? I really like the look of the game one and wiling to spend the money, but another reviewer was saying that the sound quality is a lot better with these headphones.
+Tyler Grummett to me these are better. Alot easier to drive and much better overall sound. Plus the ear cushions on these are so comfortable
I bought some today, EB Games had them on sale and it ended up being cheaper then me buying and shipping them on Amazon to Australia. These are Amazing, a step up from the $50(USD) Headset range and well worth the extra money. Sennheiser did it again and what i love, its a fully plastic headset that in no way feels cheap. Its a get the job done headset, no flashy details, no extra bits and pieces just a headset you know will get it done. p.s i got them for $117 before anyone asks.

Ordered these today to replace a set of Samson HD681 Evo with Zalman mic (via an Astro Mixamp). Look forward to testing these on BF1 tomorrow :)

They arrived earlier - not gamed with them yet but already they have surpassed what I was expecting from a audio quality with music! So easy to drive also - even my phone takes them to deafening levels!!

Well - via the PS4 pad they are great - problem is when I plug into an Astro Mixamp, Game Audio works but the Mic just won't work. Friends say Mic is great when connected to pad but they'll have to go back if they don't work with the mixamp :(

The only problem I have with this headset. Is the fact that the cord is 8 ft long. No one needs that long of a cord. It’s always getting twisty and tangled, and is just a pain in the ass to deal with; especially after long gaming sessions. Other than that, it’s a pretty solid headset for the price. It’s comfortable, and my ears don’t sweat as much. The mic and sound quality are fantastic. I’ve had these for about 3 months now and I just absolutely am in love. But I’m gonna save up and get a higher end Sennheiser next.
I'm gonna take a swing at this one. EDIT: Just ordered it. Had a few left in stock. Delivery esimation: tomorrow. Can't wait. My Superlux EVO kinda broke down on me (still works, but the headband's fuarked thanks to my long head... hope this one fits

this or the hd 598? theres a sale going right now for the hd 598 so they are the same price, but i would have to buy a mic separately
i like these alot and the mic sounds amazing. the big plus to buying the 598 is that you could use them out and about and it wouldn't look like a gaming headset. both are great choices though

CostlyMilk these are better in my opinion. they're much easier to push and get much louder and has a better overall sound. I found the mic to be about the same but I loved the fit/feel on the 300

these are very good at that. if you plan on gaming on PC I would recommend the HyperX Cloud II since they have 7.1 surround sound when using them on PC. If you are gaming on a console you can't go wrong with either one

Kyle Wease most headsets will have it come from one ear, don't think there are any that have chat go through both

I need some help.... I have these and if I plug them in the back the mic works fine but the volume output from the headset is too low, if I plug them in the front the mic is worse but the output volume is much louder. Im using onboard. Would an external usb soundcard fix this issue???? if so, anything anyone recommends?

Yeah I have the gsp302 it’s the same headphone but in black. It’s awesome. Great mic. Awesome sound quality. Awesome soundstage. Can tell directional sound awesome even though it doesn’t have surround sound

this headset is great i have it myself and yes they feel sturdy and sound amazing, like u hear everything, but with crystal clear sound in my opinion and the base is punchy too, and side note i only used them on the ps4 and spotify on my phone, i feel like the only downside to me is that there is no mic monitoring, atleast on ps4, but other than that they r worth $100

For me you can still hear yourself enough without the Mic Monitoring you get on Xbox or PS, the downside for me is the cable, like most Sennheiser products they make it hard for you to do anything with their cables. Wish it was detachable.
Does the mic echo at all? Like if I’m playing loud music would it leak and get picked up by the mic?
It doesn't. I have a set and blast drum and bass whilst I game and you would be deaf before any sound leaked

Zeltiq I bought the mixamp to use in conjunction with my HyperXcloud 2 headset on my PS4. I wasnt satisfied with the sound quality and loudness through the controller headphone jack and needed that extra boost. First thing I did was plug this into my comp and install the latest firmware and then I was good to go. Set up only took about 3 minutes, I compared my headphones with and without the mixamp by playing music on spotify first and there was a HUGE difference. Everything was much more crisp and the volume was able to go about 3x as loud than before. I then started to play some black ops 3 to test the surround sound; this is where I really noticed a difference as well. The directional sounds that this mixamp produces is spot on. I could tell where everyone was no matter how faint or distant the sound was, I could tell if someone was over a wall, below me or above me it was extremely accurate. haven't tried it on the one's but i strongly recommend the 2's if ur using an Astro mixamp.

yes, the spaciousness in these headphones are incredible and you would never know they don't have 7.1 surround sound
